Abstract

This study is a descriptive exploratory study. This study was conducted to analyze the guidance and counseling services in the career field that suits with the career needs of senior high school students. There were ten students of grade 12 in one of senior high school who participated in this study. Those students were chosen by using purposive sampling technique. The collection of data in this study was done by using interviews and need assessment instrument to investigate the needs of senior high school students in the field of career. The collected data then were analyzed with a descriptive method and exploratory. The research results show that senior high school students need the classical tutoring and individualized counseling services in the field of career counseling and counseling services, along with the subject of services that are required.

Abstract

This research is a Research and Development (R&D) study using the Borg & Gall development model, consisting of seven stages: initial research and information gathering, planning, product development, main field trials, initial trial revisions, revised field trials, and final product. The product is a guide divided into six parts: Introduction, Sociodrama Techniques, Interpersonal Intelligence, Implementation, Sociodrama Scenarios, and Bibliography. Data were collected through questionnaires assessing feasibility by material and media experts, guidance and counseling teachers, and an interpersonal intelligence scale. The trial involved material and media experts, two teachers for initial trials, and eight teachers for the main field trials. Data analysis used a descriptive quantitative method.Results show that the guide is designed with color illustrations, A5 size, hardcover, and aligns with Gardner’s interpersonal intelligence characteristics. It was evaluated as "very feasible" to improve students' interpersonal intelligence, scoring 92 from media experts, 88.6 from material experts, 84.5 in initial trials, and 92.2 in main trials. Thus, the sociodrama technique guide is considered highly feasible for enhancing interpersonal intelligence in junior high school students

Abstract

Career maturity is an important aspect of student development in high school, as they begin to make decisions that affect their future. However, in this digital era, students are faced with various new challenges that affect their career maturity. This study aims to explore the challenges and solutions faced by guidance services in helping students develop career maturity in the digital era. The systematic literature review in this study followed the PRISMA  (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) guidelines, investigating the impact of career maturity and guidance services on high school students in the digital era. Key areas explored include the role of digital skills, social cognitive career theory (SCCT), and the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) in career guidance. The findings indicate that digital technology enhances career maturity. While the main challenges include low student awareness of digital skills and lack of technology support. Then there are barriers to technology acceptance, such as perceived difficulty of use and limited technical support. To overcome this, the results of the review suggest integrating digital skills training and tailored support for students and counselors. This approach aims to foster career maturity in students, which is in line with the demands of an increasingly digital workforce.

Abstract

Advances in information technology have changed social interaction patterns, including among teenagers, with positive impacts and new challenges such as an increase in sexual harassment and violence on social media. This study aims to educate students at SMP Negeri 1 Beringin on the wise use of social media through lectures, discussions, and question and answer sessions with 30 eighth-grade students. The results of the study show an increase in students' understanding and participation in the wise use of social media. In conclusion, this approach is effective in preventing sexual harassment and violence through social media. The study recommends that similar activities be carried out continuously, involving various parties, to better prepare the younger generation to face digital challenges. Abstrak. Kemajuan teknologi informasi telah mengubah pola interaksi sosial, termasuk di kalangan remaja, dengan dampak positif dan tantangan baru seperti peningkatan pelecehan dan kekerasan seksual di media sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi kepada siswa SMP Negeri 1 Beringin mengenai penggunaan bijak media sosial melalui ceramah, diskusi, dan tanya jawab dengan 33 siswa kelas VII. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan partisipasi siswa dalam penggunaan media sosial yang bijak. Kesimpulannya, pendekatan ini efektif dalam pencegahan pelecehan dan kekerasan seksual melalui media sosial. Penelitian merekomendasikan kegiatan serupa dilakukan secara berkelanjutan, melibatkan berbagai pihak, untuk mempersiapkan generasi muda yang lebih baik menghadapi tantangan digital.
