Abstract

Preeclampsia is a complication in pregnancy, childbirth and post partum which cannot be prevented and what can be done is to prevent the occurrence of more severe complications and avoid risk factors or predisposition to the occurrence of preeclampsia. Factors affecting preeclampsia are a history of hypertension and parity. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between history of parity with the incidence of preeclampsia. The design of this study was analytic with cross sectional design. The population in this study were all pregnant women in the Batam Puskesmas Batu Aji Batam City from February to July 2019, samples taken using purposive sampling as many as 88 respondents. The results of studies that have been carried out chi-square test for a history of and parity with preeclampsia obtained P value of 0.015 <α 0.05. The conclusion of this study is the relationship between history parity with preeclampsia in pregnant women. this research can be considered for making policies in an effort to improve the quality of health services in pregnant women.

Abstract

Nyeri pungung saat kehamilan mencapai puncak pada minggu ke-24 sampai dengan minggu ke-28, tepat sebelum pertumbuhan abdomen mencapai titik maksimum. Nyeri punggung pada ibu hamil dapat menyebabkan spasme pada otot yang menimbulkan rasa nyeri. Untuk mengurangi nyeri punggung bawah dan panggul terkait kehamilan dengan senam hamil di Posyandu Tanjung Uma. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Lubuk Baja, tepatnya di Posyandu Tanjung Uma, pada tanggal 4-25 April 2022. Sasaran pada pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah ibu hamil usia kehamilan 20 – 35 minggu dengan nyeri punggung bawah berjumlah 4 ibu hamil. Nyeri punggung yang dirasakan ibu hamil dapat berkurang secara bertahap selama 4 minggu dengan melakukan gerakan gerakan senam yang diajarkan oleh bidan. Senam hamil dapat menurunkan intensitas nyeri punggung dalam kehamilan.

Abstract

Breast milk dam is a swelling of the breast due to an increase in venous and lymph flow, causing breast milk dam. Data (SDKI) showed that 42% of mothers experienced breast milk dams. Breast milk dams are caused by discontinuous breastfeeding, the baby has not breastfed properly, improper breastfeeding position, wearing BH that is too tight, nipple abnormalities, absence of breast care before and after childbirth and lack of maternal knowledge about breast care. The aim is to determine the relationship between breastfeeding position and breast care with the incidence of breast milk dam in the working area of Sei.Langkai Health Center, Batam City 2023. The method in this study used quantitative research with analytical descriptive research and used a Cross Sectional research design, the sample in this study was 65 postpartum women, statistical tests using Chi-Square, purposive sampling technique. The distribution of breastfeeding positions was not correct as many as 36 postpartum women (55.4%), postpartum women did not perform breast care as many as 55 postpartum women (84.6%), the majority of postpartum women who experienced breast milk dams were 36 postpartum women (55.4%). The results of statistical analysis with Chi-Square found that there was no relationship between breastfeeding position and the incidence of breast milk dam with a value (P-Value) = 0.099 where (P < ?) = 0.05, and there was a relationship between breast care and the incidence of breast milk dam with a value (P-Value) = 0.030 where (P < ?) = 0.05. The conclusion is that there is no relationship between breastfeeding position and the incidence of breast milk dam and there is a relationship between breastfeeding position and breast milk dam. it is hoped that midwives and other health workers can teach mothers directly during breastfeeding how to do the correct breastfeeding position and breast care technique.

Abstract

Hypertension and diabetes mellitus are significant health issues that can lead to serious complications such as cardiovascular diseases, stroke, and kidney failure. Efforts to control these diseases are essential to improving the quality of life for communities. Based on this background, the community service team from Mitra Bunda Health Institute organized health education and screenings on Nguan Island, Batam City. This initiative aimed to provide prevention and management of hypertension and diabetes mellitus for residents of RT 001 and RT 002 of Nguan Island. The implementation methods included blood pressure and blood sugar tests, health education through visual media, and health promotion adhering to health protocols. The high level of community participation reflects a positive response to efforts aimed at preventing and managing these diseases. Evaluation results show that the activities were successfully carried out, with participants following health education sessions and screenings in an orderly manner according to the established health protocols. Collaboration among the community, cadres, neighborhood heads, and local authorities has had a positive impact on raising awareness about the importance of managing hypertension and diabetes mellitus. These activities are planned to be conducted regularly to create a healthier environment on Nguan Island. Full support from various parties is essential to ensure the sustainability of this program for the improvement of community health.
