Abstract

Virtual Flipped Classroom (VFC) is a learning model that is suitable to be applied during the Covid-19 pandemic where the learning activities are mostly conducted online. The VFC in this study combines synchronous and asynchronous learning by using Schoology as the Learning Management System (LMS) and Zoom as the means to facilitate direct interaction between the lecturer and the students. This model was implemented to improve the student's motivation in learning English even in the pandemic situation. The objective of this study is to investigate the implementation of the VFC learning model to improve students’ motivation to learn. It is a qualitative study conducting action research. The participants were 47 students. The data were gathered by observation, sharing questionnaires, and interviews. The data were analyzed qualitatively, while the statistical data were used to support the qualitative data. The results showed that most of the students were motivated to learn English even though it was during the situation of pandemic Covid-19. They said that this model improves the students’ creativity, autonomous learning, and responsibility to have a self-learning process that motivated them in learning English

Abstract

Flight coordinator is the unit tasked with coordinating the implementation of aircraft handling. Flight coordinator officers play an important role in providing air services from block on to block off, therefore the potential for incidents and accidents in this area is higher compared to other areas. This research aims to analyze the preparation of flight coordinator officers in an effort to achieve ground time for the Transnusa Airbus A320 aircraft at PT Jasa Angkasa Semesta Terminal 3 Soekarno Hatta Airport. The research design used in this research is qualitative descriptive research using primary data (observations and interviews) and secondary data (library studies and documents). Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, playing a role in the field, interviews with Senior On Duty and personal flight coordinators, flight coordinator activity documents and library studies. Data analysis techniques are by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. The research results showed that the flight coordinator officers had carried out their duties in accordance with the applicable Ground Time standards, but sometimes there were still some officers who did not use personal protective equipment such as ear plugs, hand gloves and safety shoes. The obstacles faced by flight coordinator officers are related to supporting facilities, natural and technical factors. The efforts made by flight coordinator officers are to carry out activities according to applicable Ground Time standards.

Abstract

The management of Hang Nadim Batam International Airport must be able to provide facilities that are appropriate for the comfort of flight service users. This is because Batam's Hang Nadim International Airport will experience an increase in the number of passenger traffic movements by 15% from 2022. This research aims to determine the effect of the availability of seating facilities in the curb area on the comfort of aviation service users at Hang Nadim International Airport Batam. This research uses a quantitative approach, a data collection method by distributing questionnaires to respondents. The sample in this study was 100 respondents with criteria >17 years and over who had used the facilities in the corridor area (curb) with data analysis using the SPSS 25 system. The results of this research show that the availability of seating facilities in the lobby area has a significant positive effect on the comfort of flight service users at Batam's Hang Nadim International Airport. This is shown by the results of data acquisition with a value of tcount > ttable, namely 10.355 > 1.984.

Abstract

AbstrakPandemi Covid-19 merupakan pandemi yang berdampak global dengan tingkat penyebaran yang tinggi dan mempengaruhi berbagai aspek kehidupan masyarakat. Salah satu industri yang sangat terdampak oleh pandemi Covid 19 adalah industri penerbangan. Adanya pandemi Covid-19 memberikan dampak yang besar terhadap ekonomi penerbangan di Indonesia khususnya di Bandar Udara Sultan Muhammad Salahuddin Bima. Tujuan dari penelitian ini supaya dapat mengetahui kondisi ekonomi Bandar Udara Sultan Muhammad Salahuddin Bima pada saat pandemi dan strategi yang dilakukan Bandar Udara Sultan Muhammad Salahuddin Bima dalam menstabilkan perekonomiannya di tengah pandemi covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini merupakan data primer dan data sekunder. Data primer diperoleh dari wawancara, kemudian data sekunder diperoleh dari dokumen atau catatan yang terkait dengan penelitian. Selanjutnya data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis data kualitatif yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, kondisi ekonomi di bandar udara Sultan Muhammad Salahuddin Bima mengalami keterpurukan sehingga memerlukan strategi yang tepat dalam menanganinya supaya dapat menutupi kerugian yang dialami selama pandemi Covid-19. Terdapat empat strategi yang digunakan untuk menstabilkan perekonomian, yaitu menerapkan strategi yang telah ditentukan oleh pemerintah pusat, mengoptimalkan layanan kargo, membangun kerjasama antara para Stakeholder, dan mengoptimalkan pendapatan Non-aeronautika.Kata Kunci: Kondisi Ekonomi, Pandemi Covid-19                              AbstractThe Covid-19 pandemic is a pandemic that has a global impact with a high level of spread and affects various aspects of people's lives. One of the industries most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic was the aviation industry. The existence of the Covid-19 pandemic has had a major impact on the aviation economy in Indonesia, especially at Sultan Muhammad Salahuddin Bima Airport. The purpose of this study was to find out the economic condition of Sultan Muhammad Salahuddin Bima Airport during the pandemic and the strategies carried out by Sultan Muhammad Salahuddin Bima Airport in stabilizing the economy during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data used in this study are primary and secondary data. Primary data was obtained from interviews, then secondary data was obtained from documents or notes related to the research. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using qualitative data analysis, they are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the analysis, the economic condition at Sultan Muhammad Salahuddin Bima airport has fallen, so it requires the right strategy to handle it in order to cover the losses experienced during the Covid-19 pandemic. The are four strategies used to stabilize the economy, they are to implement the strategy determined by the central government, optimize cargo services, build cooperation between stakeholders, and optimize non-aeronautical revenues.Keywords: Economic Condition, Covid-19 Pandemic
