Abstract

The purpose of this study was to (1) describe the current condition of implementation of inclusive education in primary schools, (2) to develop a model of inclusive education management, and (3) to examine the effectiveness of the management model of inclusive education in primary schools. Method of Research and Development (R & D) was used in this study, with the following stages: (1) a preliminary study to see the existing implementation of inclusive education in elementary schools through literature review and field study, (2) developing a model of inclusive education management, and (3) examining  the effectiveness of inclusive education management model. This research was conducted in 51 inclusive schools located in four districts namely; Surakarta, Boyolali, Sukoharjo, and Karanganyar. The subject of this research consisted of principals, class teachers, students with special needs education (SNE), students without SNE, and school committee. The results of the preliminary study concluded (1) the use of existing performance indicators principals and teachers, the implementation of inclusive education in primary schools did not meet the expected criteria, (2) one of the most widely perceived obstacle is the unavailability of standardized management of inclusive schools, (3) response of the school committee, students with SNE, and students without SNE to inclusive education category is quite positive, (4) the inclusive schools did not run functions and aspects of school management adequately, (5) the schools urgently needed guide management of inclusive education. The final product of the development of inclusive education management model requires that inclusive schools run the four functions of management; planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling, by combining the nine aspects of school management in terms of institutional management, curriculum, teaching process, evaluation, student, facilities, human resources, public participation and financing. To run the management model of inclusive education effectively, guide book on inclusive education management should be provided. The result of the evaluation by principals and teachers indicated that inclusive education management model was very effective. From the result, it is recommended that the guide book be disseminated for use as a guideline in the management of inclusive education in elementary schools in Indonesia.

Abstract

Gaya belajar merupakan salah faktor penting dalam keberhasilan prestasi dalam belajar seorang siswa. Gaya belajar siswa penting diketahui guru sebagai fasilitator dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Dengan diketahuinya gaya belajar siswa, guru dapat memberikan pelayanan yang tepat sehingga materi secara efektif dipahami siswa. Materi yang dipahami siswa dengan baik akan berdampak positif dalam prestasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gaya belajar siswa berbakat di kelas akselerasi SMA Negeri 3 Surakarta dengan menggunakan preferensi gaya belajar versi Rogers. Preferensi gaya belajar Rogers memiliki tiga belas gaya belajar yang spesifik ditunjukkan dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar di kelas. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penilitian survey dengan pendekatan penelitian cross sectional. Subyek penelitian merupakan lima puluh sembilan siswa akselerasi di SMA Negeri 3 Surakarta. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode kuisioner (preferensi gaya belajar anak berbakat Rogers) untuk mengambil data gaya belajar yang dipilih siswa akselerasi. Pengolahan data dilakukan melalui analisis deskriptif dan disajikan dalam bentuk grafik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan dari tiga belas gaya belajar anak unggul versi Rogers, siswa akselerasi SMA Negeri 3 Surakarta memiliki sembilan pilihan gaya belajar dan lima pilihan gaya belajar yang kuat. Dari sembilan pilihan gaya belajar yang dipilih, gaya belajar paling banyak dimiliki adalah gaya belajar pemelajaran berpasangan dan gaya belajar yang paling sedikit dipilih adalah gaya belajar diskusi. Selain itu terdapat sepuluh siswa akselerasi yang memiliki pilihan gaya belajar lebih dari satu.Learning style is one of important factor in student successful achievement. Learning style is impotant to knew by teacher as fasilitator in learning and teaching system. Knowing student learning style, teacher can give the good service so that the material effectively understood by student. This research aims to recognize learning style preferences of gifted and talented student in acceleration class of SMA Negeri 3 Surakarta by using Rogers learning style preferences questionare. This study used survey research with cross sectional approach. The subjects of this research are fifty nine students of acceleration class in SMA Negeri 3 Surakarta. The data is collected through by questionnaire methods ( Rogers Learning Style Preferences) to retrieve data of students learning style. Data is processed by descriptive analysis and showed on graph. The result of this study is students of acceleration class in SMA Negeri 3 Surakarta have nine learning style preferences of thirty learning style preferences and five strong learning preferences. Peer learning is the most preferred learning style by the students and the fewest choosen is discussion. Beside it, there are ten students who have more than one learning style.

Abstract

Glass ceiling refers to the obstruction of opportunities for female employees to get promoted to higher positions, despite being qualified and having achievements, due to gender discrimination. This study aimed to identify the relationship between gender stereotypes and self-efficacy with the glass ceiling phenomenon experienced by female civil servants in Central Java. Sixty female civil servants were involved as samples. This study used three instruments: glass ceiling scale (α = 0.855), gender stereotypes scale (α = 0.933), and self-efficacy scale (α = 0.879). The data was processed using linear regression analysis. The findings revealed that there was a strong correlation (r = 0.803) between gender stereotypes (β1 = 0.377) and self-efficacy (β2 = -0.431) with the glass ceiling phenomenon experienced by female civil servants in Central Java.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan 1) mengetahui pengaruh blended learning terhadap penguasaan materi Bahasa Indonesia, 2) mengetahui respons mahasiswa tunarungu dan tunanetra terhadap pemanfaatan aksesibilitas dalam blended learning. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian mix method. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh blended learning digunakan Randomized Posttest only Control Group Design. Populasinya adalah mahasiswa semester 3 Pendidikan Khusus Universitas Sebelas Maret dan sampelnya yaitu kelas A sebagai kelas eksperimen, kelas B sebagai kelas kontrol. Untuk mengetahui respons mahasiswa tunarungu dan tunanetra melalui metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil uji t penguasan materi didapat thitung = 6,64 > = ttabel =1,66, menunjukkan ada perbedaan, sedangkan untuk uji lanjut yaitu uji Tuckey menunjukkan Qhitung = 7,55 > Qtabel = 2,85, menunjukan bahwa penguasaan materi mahasiswa yang menggunakan blended learning lebih tinggi daripada konvensional. Respons mahasiswa terhadap penggunaan blended learning dalam mata kuliah bahasa Indonesia berdasarkan hasil observasi sangat aktif, wawancara cukup baik, dan dokumentasi sangat baik. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah 1) ada pengaruh blended learning terhadap penguasaan materi Bahasa Indonesia, 2) respons mahasiswa tunarungu dan tunanetra sangat baik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model blended learning terhadap pemahaman materi pada mata kuliah Pembelajaran IPA bagi ABK pada kelas inklusi di perguruan tinggi. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah desain eksperimen kuasi One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 38 orang mahasiswa yang sedang menempuh mata kuliah Pembelajaran IPA bagi ABK pada kelas inklusi di perguruan tinggi. Dua di antara subjek tersebut adalah mahasiswa berkebutuhan khusus tunanetra dan tunarungu. Pengukuran terhadap pemahaman materi dilakukan sebanyak dua kali, yaitu sebelum dan sesudah penerapan blended learning diberikan. Hasil yang didapatkan dianalisis menggunakan paired t-test. Berdasarkan hasil analisis didapatkan bahwa terdapat kenaikan rata-rata skor pretes (65,16) dan skor posttes (73,87), dengan nilai t=-9,321 dengan p=0,0001 (p<0,05). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada penerapan blended learning terhadap peningkatan pemahaman mata kuliah Pembelajaran IPA bagi ABK pada kelas inklusi di perguruan tinggi.

Abstract

The inclusive education policies were created for children with special needs based on the equality principle. The implementation of inclusive education policies in each region has a different level of success. This research aims to find out how the implementation of inclusive educational policies in elementary school of Surakarta reviewed from Grindle’s policy implementation theory. Method used in this research is a combination method, which is involving 102 respondents and 9 informants from 12 inclusive schools. Data analysis used in this research are descriptive statistic and interactive modeling analysis of Miles and Huberman.The results showed that the implementation of inclusive education policy had a positive impact on the students and their environment, with the level of implementation of inclusive education is 76.8%, therefore the efforts are needed to optimize the implementation of inclusive education policies in the form of training for teachers and providing of supporting infrastructures. Abstract

Covid 19 pandemic causes the transformation  of  several aspects in Human interaction being limited.Changes also occur in the world of education.The world of education transfroms from  face-to-face into online learning.This study aimed to determine the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic in the world of education, especially at the elementary school level and the effectiveness of You Tube learning media as a solution to the education transformation  due to Covid 19.This research used qualitative research methods with data analysis techniques.The researcher found that the impact of Covid 19 in education, especially primary school children, was the limitations of parents in guiding the learning process because they were busyso that you tube learning media became an alternative learning choice for schools.

Abstract

Technological advancement encourage a change in learning paradigm towards digital-based learning and a shift in the role of the teacher to become a learning facilitator, not the only source of learning. Innovation in the use of e-modules was a reflection of the integration of ICT into the learning process. This study aimed to develop an electronic module that was suitable for use in learning Islamic religious education for vocational high school students. This research is classified as Research and Development (R&D) research with ADDIE procedures consisting of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. However, this research was limited to the development stage. The sample of this study consisted of one material expert, two media experts and three teachers of Islamic religious education subjects. The data analysis technique uses a descriptive analysis techniques with percentages to describe the feasibility value of the electronic module (e-modul). Based on the results of the study, the results of the assessment of the e-module places by each assessor with details, namely the material expert assessment obtained 96.1%, the media expert assessment 95.1% and the assessment conducted by the subject teacher received a score of 96.1%. 83, 3%, therefore the e-module product developed is suitable for being used as a learning activities. The results of this study can certainly be used as a basis for educators in order to implement electronic digital format module technology into learning activities.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the conditions of learning in Diploma III vocational education and the influence of the Group Investigation-based Work-Based Learning model on nursing diploma III vocational education. This type of research is a type of qualitative research. This research describes or describes an actual problem, and from these results, it can be concluded or generalized. This research approach is a descriptive approach, which is an approach that aims to make systematic, accurate, and factual descriptions of populations and certain objects. The population of this study was students of nursing Diploma III vocational education. The data collection technique was carried out by observing learning, then followed by interviews. Data analysis in qualitative descriptive research is a gradual progression flow, assigning informants to writing reports. After going through observations and interviews, the study results indicate that applying the Work-Based Learning and Group Investigation models is very relevant in implementing nursing vocational education and positively influences student competency abilities. This finding will have implications to improve students' competence in vocational education. The Work-Based Learning model based on Group Investigation can create a learning atmosphere in vocational education.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the needs of social skills-based learning models for inclusive schools for children with learning disabilities. The research method used was a quantitative descriptive approach. The research subjects were teachers who teach children with learning disabilities in eight inclusive elementary schools in Surakarta. The technique to get the data collection used was a  structured questionnaire with Likert scale. Then, it was analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques by categorizing i.e. The analysis results showed that the level of needs of a social skills-based learning model for children with learning disabilities was very high with final percentage of 83%. Therefore, it was necessary to develop a skill-based learning model for children with learning disabilities in an inclusive school to assist teachers in developing social skills for children with learning disabilities.
