Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara efikasi diri dengan kemampuan orientasi mobilitas siswa tunanetra di SLB A YKAB Surakarta. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa tunanetra SLB A YKAB Surakarta. Penentuan subjek pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik purposif sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan angket efikasi diri dan tes kinerja kemampuan orientasi mobilitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik uji validitas isi oleh para ahli (expert judgement) sebagai validator yang selanjutnya dihitung menggunakan Aiken’s V. Pada uji reliabilitasnya menggunakan Interclass Correlation Coefficient dengan bantuan SPSS 26. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah analisis korelasi Sperman Rank. Hasil uji korelasi dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,654 dengan nilai rtabel 0,591, sehingga rhitung ˃ rtabel untuk taraf signifikansi 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis data yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara efikasi diri dengan kemampuan orientasi mobilias siswa tunanetra SLB A YKAB Surakarta

Abstract

Virtual Flipped Classroom (VFC) is a learning model that is suitable to be applied during the Covid-19 pandemic where the learning activities are mostly conducted online. The VFC in this study combines synchronous and asynchronous learning by using Schoology as the Learning Management System (LMS) and Zoom as the means to facilitate direct interaction between the lecturer and the students. This model was implemented to improve the student's motivation in learning English even in the pandemic situation. The objective of this study is to investigate the implementation of the VFC learning model to improve students’ motivation to learn. It is a qualitative study conducting action research. The participants were 47 students. The data were gathered by observation, sharing questionnaires, and interviews. The data were analyzed qualitatively, while the statistical data were used to support the qualitative data. The results showed that most of the students were motivated to learn English even though it was during the situation of pandemic Covid-19. They said that this model improves the students’ creativity, autonomous learning, and responsibility to have a self-learning process that motivated them in learning English

Abstract

Supervision conducted by school principals is an important element in improving the effectiveness of teaching and learning in schools. Through the supervision process, principals provide support, feedback and guidance that are essential for teachers' professional development. This collaborative approach to supervision that focuses on improving the quality of learning plays an important role in achieving the educational goals of the school. This study aims to describe and analyze the challenges faced by principals in conducting teacher performance supervision in international primary schools. This type of research is qualitative research with a narrative approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis of seven principals of international primary schools in Surakarta. The results of this study showed that principals in international primary schools face several challenges, including (1) the time of supervision; (2) communication; (3) the consistency of assessment; (4) perceptual differences; and (5) the skill for conducting supervision. This research provides an in-depth insight into the complexity of the principals’ challenges in conducting teacher   performance supervision in international primary schools. This research is expected to help understand the dynamics of supervision in the international primary schools, which can be applied more broadly in improving teacher professionalism in the academic process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pendampingan bahasa isyarat pada guru di sekolah penggerak SLB Negeri Temanggung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif non parametrik. Pendampingan bahasa isyarat diberikan sebanyak 30 JP selama tiga hari di SLB N Temanggung. Populasi di SLB N Temanggung sebanyak 44 orang, dengan sampel yang diambil sebanyak 40 guru secara probability sampling. Efektivitas diukur menggunakan Uji T dengan kuesioner self assessment untuk mendapatkan data skor keterampilan bahasa isyarat peserta sebelum dan setelah dilakukan pendampingan bahasa isyarat. Berdasarkan analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendampingan isyarat efektif meningkatkan keterampilan bahasa isyarat guru sekolah penggerak di SLB Negeri Temanggung

Abstract

Permasalahan yang dihadapi guru Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) Negeri Sragen dalam pemetaan minat yaitu keberagaman minat Peserta Didik Berkebutuhan Khusus (PDBK), keberagaman keterampilan vokasi bagi PDBK di SLB, pemetaan minat yang belum didasarkan pada instrumen yang objektif, serta belum adanya pendampingan bagi guru terkait pemetaan minat PDBK untuk vocational placement di SLB. Guru membutuhkan instrumen yang dapat mendukung tugasnya dalam melakukan pemetaan minat untuk vocational placement pada PDBK. Salah satu instrumen digital yang dapat digunakan dalam melakukan pemetaan minat untuk vocational placement pada PDBK adalah aplikasi IDESMART, dengan demikian, tim pengabdian melakukan pendampingan bagi guru dalam melakukan pemetaan minat untuk vocational placement pada PDBK dengan aplikasi IDESMART. Pendampingan pemetaan minat untuk vocational placement pada PDBK dengan aplikasi IDESMART dilaksanakan di SLB Negeri Sragen selaku mitra, yang melibatkan 54 guru di SLB tersebut. Tahapan kegiatan pendampingan terdiri dari tahap persiapan, penyusunan desain pendampingan, pelaksanaan pendampingan, evaluasi, dan pelaporan. Hasil kegiatan pendampingan berupa pemahaman guru terkait kurikulum vokasional di SLB, pemahaman guru terkait konsep minat PDBK, pemahaman guru terkait aplikasi IDESMART, praktek pemanfaatan aplikasi IDESMART, serta kerjasama yang berkelanjutan terkait pendampingan dalam pemetaaan minat PDBK di SLB Negeri Sragen.

Abstract

This literature review analysis explores the growing use of digital tools in vocational training programs for students with learning disabilities (LD). Through a review of literature (2014-2024), more than 20 articles related to the topic, examines the potential of digital tools to address the specific learning challenges faced by students with LD and improve their vocational skill mastery. This analysis is expected to reveal the effectiveness of various digital tools such as simulations, gamified learning platforms, and personalized learning technologies. While the research suggests promise in improved skill acquisition, enhanced engagement, and development of essential workplace skills, challenges like teacher training and accessibility concerns are also identified. Emerging trends in the use of virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and gamification for personalized learning are explored, highlighting the potential for further advancements in this field. Overall, the analysis underscores the significant role digital tools can play in creating more inclusive and effective vocational training programs, ultimately empowering students with LD to achieve successful career outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the need for development a attachment technique to improve teacher pedagogical competence for students with special needs in inclusive primary schools. Analysis of the needs used is quantitative analysis. The research respondents were teachers primary inclusive schools in the city of Surakarta. This research is limited to the analysis of related approach  teachers to students with special needs conducted in inclusive schools. The results of this study indicate that 84% of teachers in inclusive schools still have difficulties to establish an approach. Teacher need to improve their competence one of them is guidance to support learning in their class.  The Attachment tecnique can be one is needed to teachers can apply to approach students with special needs conducted to support learning in their class.  Therefore, it is necessary to develop an attachment technique to improve teachers pedagogical competence.

Abstract

This research examined the knowledge and skills of special education teachers within the context of inclusive education in Indonesia. Employing a quantitative survey approach, the study aimed to determine whether a statistically significant disparity existed between these two variables. The data collection technique utilized included knowledge tests and performance assessments, involving 637 participants from 26 districts/cities. The data analysis technique employed was the t-test using SPSS. The research findings indicated that the mean knowledge score (51.85) was lower than the mean skill score (73.90). The t-test result showed a value of -29.87 with p-value <0.05, indicating a significant difference between the knowledge and skill scores. Several factors contributed to the higher skill scores, including limited access to specialized training and professional development, curriculum structures prioritizing skill-based coursework, and the unique demands of inclusive education settings.

Abstract

Hearing impairment children are individuals who have lost the ability to hear, thereby hampering the process of information through their hearing, whether they use hearing aids or not. This research will test the effectiveness of using the Sondet Smart Augmented Reality based application in improving sound understanding for hearing impairment children. This research uses a quantitative approach with experimental techniques to test the use of the Sondet Smart Augmented Reality based application. The research subjects involved 124 hearing impairment students attending special schools in Central Java, then these students were divided into two groups, control and experimental groups. The research results were calculated using SPSS with the Chi Square test resulting in a asymp-sig calculation of 0.010 using alpha of 0.05, so asymp-sig. < 0.05. Therefore, the use of the sondet application to improve the sound understanding of hearing impairment students in Central Java has proven to be effective in increasing students' sound understanding.

Abstract

This study aspires to analyze the elementary school prospective teachers' critical thinking viewed from the gender aspect. The method employed was a quantitative study with a descriptive approach. Conducted at Elementary School Teacher Education Department, this study involved 25 male students and 25 female students as participants. Data collection was done by means of a test about environmental pollution material. Facione's theory, comprising interpretation, evaluation, analysis, inference, and self-regulation, was used to analyze critical thinking. To analyze the data, descriptive quantitative analysis was employed. The findings shows that female elementary school prospective teacher students have better critical thinking skills than male students. It is shown by the higher average of every indicator in females with 3.1 in the good category, while the males’ average is 2.46 in the fair category. The lecturers have to take gender into account in facilitating critical thinking skills by implementing supportive learning methods, facilitating students’ learning styles, and providing challenging questions.
