Abstract

Abstract

In today's digital era, data that is managed efficiently and effectively is a success for a company when facing problems in an ever-changing business. PT XYZ is one of the many companies in the automotive sector, PT XYZ needs to ensure that their interface data can be managed optimally. However, interface data management is often faced with various challenges, such as large volumes of data, continuous monitoring, and the need to identify problems that will arise early. In order to overcome these problems, PT XYZ has a plan to design an application called MyZ as a monitoring solution through a dashboard that aims to monitor files and find potential problems related to interface data. The focus of this study is on the development of the MyZ application as a monitoring dashboard and adopting the Scrum approach to optimize data interface management at PT XYZ. The findings obtained from the development of the MyZ application, this application can show the time needed to send data via email an average of 3.3 seconds, this indicates that the MyZ application allows users to receive information quickly, so that it can speed up the decision-making process. While the presentation of information in the dashboard takes an average of 1.5 seconds. This shows that the MyZ application can provide a fast and efficient response in supporting the interface data monitoring process and minimizing waiting time. This efficiency is very relevant in a dynamic work environment and requires a fast response to data changes.

Abstract

Security is a critical concern when using wireless networks, especially on open networks. Opportunistic Wireless Encryption (OWE) provides a solution to enhance protection on open wireless networks through encryption. This study evaluates the impact of OWE implementation on the performance of 802.11ax networks, focusing on metrics such as throughput and packet loss, compared to open security. An experimental approach was conducted in a client-server topology, measuring maximum throughput using the TCP protocol with packet sizes of 384 KB, 640 KB, and 1408 KB. Packet loss was also measured using the UDP protocol with data sizes of 10 MB, 100 MB, and 1000 MB. The results indicate that using OWE leads to performance degradation as packet size increases. Throughput decreases by 5–10 Mbps compared to open security, while the highest packet loss of 16% occurs with a bandwidth of 100 MB. These findings highlight that the encryption overhead in OWE affects performance, particularly with larger packet sizes. Despite the performance impact, OWE significantly enhances the security of open networks. However, the trade-off between performance and security should be carefully considered when implementing OWE in practical scenarios.

Abstract

One indicator of wireless network performance is throughput quality where the measurement of throughput quality itself has the aim of knowing the quality of service of a network and a picture of the behavior of the network. In measuring the quality of service of a network, supporting software is needed that can be used to measure the value of the quality of throughput. One of the software that can be used is graphical user interface-based software, namely JPERF, and command-line-based software, namely IPERF version 3. This study aims to compare and analyze two Command Line (CLI) based software using iperf version 3 and Graphical User Interface (GUI) based software using jperf which can produce the highest quality of TCP and UDP network throughput. The test results show that the use of JPERF software produces a higher throughput value when measuring throughput quality using the TCP protocol where the largest difference produced is 5 Mbps when sending 384 KB data packets while the throughput quality measurement using the UDP protocol iperf software version 3 produces a higher throughput value where there is the largest difference generated by 22 Mbps when sending 128 KB packets.
