Abstract

Assessment of mandibular growth status has been done using cephalometric radiographs by looking at cervical bone maturation. Recent studies suggest that this method is not good at identifying the final period of growth. In recent years, biomolecular re-search has been conducted to look at the potential of proteins as growth indicators. It is important to comprehensively understand the mandibular growth process in order to determine which proteins have the potential to be used as indicators. Mandibular growth is a complex biological process that is regulated by various proteins through various signalling pathways. The centre of growth is at the mandibular condyle which has a unique cartilage and plays a dual role as articular cartilage and growth plate. This review discusses the role of fibroblast growth factor receptor-3 (FGFR-3) in the mandibular growth process and its signalling pathways. The FGFR-3 was shown to act as a negative regulator of mandibular growth by reducing the proliferation and hypertrophic dif-ferentiation of chondrocytes in mandibular condylar cartilage. It is concluded that the regulation of FGFR-3 is localised due to pre-vious studies on condylar cartilage of experimental animals, so further research needs to be done to see the role of FGFR-3 in human mandibular growth.

Abstract

Introduction: Based on Indonesia Basic Health Research in 2018, it is known that 47% of Lampung people experience tooth decay and only 51% of them regularly go to the dentist. The need for orthodontic treatment is quite high among students. Epidemiological studies in Japan show that around 40% of teenagers aged 15-18 years need orthodontic treatment, 27%-36% in England aged 10-15 years, while in South Jakarta (2004) is 48.5%. Brook and Shaw introduced the Index of Orthodontic Treatment Need (IOTN), to assess the need for orthodontic treatment in England. IOTN has been applied by Agusni, T to measure the treatment needs of urban and rural children in Surabaya. Objective: Aims to determine the perceptions of elementary school students in Lampung regarding Malocclusion and the need for Orthodontic treatment. Method: A cross-sectional study was conducted in May 2023, carried out on students at public Elementary School Bumi Agung who met the inclusion criteria, namely aged 9-13 years, had never and were not currently undergoing orthodontic treatment, and were willing to take part in the research. 130 people were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Questionnaires were used to obtain sociodemographic data and general knowledge about Dental and Oral Health and Malocclusion. Assessment of the need for orthodontic treatment was carried out using the AC IOTN by the subject and operator. Results: 90% of students answered the questionnaire correctly, and 42% of students needed orthodontic treatment. A Pearson Chi-Square analysis test was carried out and found that there was a statistical difference in the perception of the need for orthodontic treatment by students and operators (p-value <0.05). Conclusion: Students at SDN Bumi Agung, Kalianda, Lampung, have very good general knowledge about Dental and Oral Health and Malocclusion. However, this is unsubstantiated by the perception of the need for orthodontic treatment.

Abstract

Teknologi dan informasi masa kini menuntut manusia untuk lebih kreativitas dan melangkah semakin maju. Sama halnya dengan sistem pendidikan yang wajib melakukan perubahan dalam sistem pengajarannya sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pandangan dari para mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Medan jurusan Pendidikan Sejarah tentang banyaknya tenaga pendidik yang memanfaatkan aplikasi TikTok sebagai media pembelajaran sejarah untuk berinovasi mengikuti perkembangan era digital. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif yang di mana data diperoleh melalui pengamatan terhadap konten edukasi sejarah di TikTok serta wawancara yang dilakukan secara langsung kepada beberapa mahasiswa Pendidikan Sejarah di Universitas Negeri Medan yang dipilih dari setiap angkatan untuk menyampaikan pendapatnya. Data tersebut nantinya akan dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode teknik reduksi, penyajian data serta penafsiran data. Hasil dari penelitian ini memperlihatkan data sebanyak 75% dari para mahasiswa/i setuju bahwa menjadikan konten TikTok edukasi sejarah sebagai media pembelajaran adalah cara yang efektif guna lebih menarik minat belajar sejarah. Penelitian ini diharapkan bisa menambah ilmu dan pengetahuan demi kebermanfaatan peneliti serta pendidik dan para pihak yang terlibat.

Abstract

PT Trustfy Digital Indonesia adalah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang E-commerce, dalam dunia E-commerce pelayanan customer service sangatlah penting. Pelayanan customer service biasanya terjadi pada interaksi antara organisasi bisnis dan pelanggan, baik itu kritik, saran, masukan ataupun keluhan yang dirasakan pelanggan. Pelayanan customer service berfungsi untuk memberikan kepuasan yang maksimal dalammenangani keluhan pelanggan baik secara langsung ataupun tidak langsung. Hal tersebut guna menghindari review buruk bagi prusahaan dan akan berdampak ketidaknyamanan bagi kedua belah pihak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Tujuan penelitian yang dilakukan penulis adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana bagaimana prosedur pelayanan Customer Service E-commerce Shopee pada PTTrustfy Digital Indonesia. apa kendala yang dihadapi dalam Prosedur Pelayanan Customer Service E-commerce Shopee pada PT Trustfy Digital Indonesia, apa kendala yang dihadapi dalam Prosedur Pelayanan Customer Service E-commerce Shopee pada PT Trustfy Digital Indonesia. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa: 1) Prosedur Pelayanan Customer Service Shopee pada PT Trustfy Digital Indonesia secara keseluruhannya baik, meskipun ada beberapa dalam prosedur pelayanan customer service shopee belum maksimal. 2) Kendala dalam Prosedur Customer Service Shopee pada PT Trustfy Digital Indonesia yaitu kurangnya komunikasi antara pihak gudang dengan pihak CS yang mengakibatkan packingan produk tidak maksimal dan sering terjadinya kesalahan salah kirim produk.
