Abstract

Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi terjadinya penyebaran penyakit infeksi secara cepat yaitu tangan yang kotor. Kebiasaan mencuci tangan dengan air bersih dilakukan untuk menjaga kebersihan tangan dan pada keadaan tertentu mencuci tidak dapat dilakukan. Salah satu cara untuk kebersihan tangan yaitu menggunakan hand sanitizer  diperoleh dari bahan alam yang relatif lebih murah, aman, efektif, dan mudah didapatkan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk melatih masyarakat dalam pembuatan hand sanitizer dari bahan alam dan melatih masyarakat cara mencuci tangan yang benar. Tahapan kegiatan dilakukan dengan mengadakan pertemuan dengan pemerintah kelurahan, sekolah dan pengurus PKK dengan tujuan untuk memberikan gambaran tentang program yang akan dijalankan di Desa Silian Satu Kecamatan Silian Raya Kabupaten Minahasa Tenggara. Pelatihan dilakukan pada ibu-ibu PKK tentang cara pembuatan sediaan hand sanitizer yang siap digunakan, dan pelatihan cuci tangan yang benar bagi murid Sekolah Dasar. Evaluasi dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan dengan mengisi kuesioner. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dapat disimpulkan bahwa masyarakat dapat dilatih untuk memanfaatkan tanaman untuk  pengobatan  dengan diberikan pengetahuan tentang bermacam-macam tanaman obat; mengolah tanaman obat menjadi sediaan yang siap digunakan sebagai hand sanitizer; menguasai cara mencuci tangan yang benar untuk menjaga kebersihan tangan

Abstract

Tanaman cabe jawa memiliki beberapa aktivitas farmakologis salah satunya meningkatkan libido dan mengatasi gangguan kesuburan pada pria (infertilitas). Cabe jawa di Indonesia banyak diproduksi dari Jawa Timur terutama daerah Madura, namun masih banyak daerah lain yang secara ekologis cocok untuk pengembangan budidaya tanaman obat cabe jawa, termasuk di daerah Gunung Kidul. Permintaan pengiriman cabe jawa baik skala nasional maupun internasional dari tahun ke tahun semakin meningkat sedangkan sentra produksi cabe jawa di Indonesia masih sedikit, oleh karena itu perlu dibuat sentra produksi baru di berbagai wilayah salah satunya di daerah Yogyakarta. Program budidaya cabe jawa di Desa Kemadang, Tanjung Sari, Kabupaten Gunung Kidul. Yogyakarta melalui penyuluhan budidaya dan pemanfaatan tanaman cabe jawa, sosialisasi dan praktek langsung teknik pembibitan tanaman cabe jawa serta monitoring dan evaluasi yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Plants of Lidah mertua ( sansevieria trifasciata prain) can be used to treat diseases such asinfluenza, cough, inflammation of the respiratory tract, sprain, hit wound, rattlesnake bite, ulcers,and abscess .The leaves of Lidah mertuacontain saponin, and other compounds such as abamagenin, kardenolin , and polifenol .The purpose of this research is to determine the level of saponinon the leaf extractof Lidah mertua, typesansevieria trifasciata prain var .Laurentiiusinggravimetricmethod. .This was a descriptive research conducted in the farmakognosi laboratory ofPharmaceutical Major ofPoltekkes Kemenkes Manado. The sample of Lidah mertua leaves(sansevieria trifasciata prain Laurentii variant) was obtained from Pineleng Minahasa village.The determination of saponin levelof Lidah mertua extract leaves was conducted by extractingtheLidah mertua leaves using reflux with methanol solvent. Then the extract wasfractionationedwith a solvent successively with petroleum ether, ethyl acetate, n-Butanol. The n-Butanol extractwas evaporated and dissolved with methanol and saponin, then precipitated with dietyl ether.The saponin precipitation was determined gravimetrivelly. Result of study showed that Lidahmertua leaves, typesansevieria trifasciata prain var .Laurentii contained saponin with concentrationof 3.1258%. It is suggested that there will be further research to define the type of saponincontained in Lidah mertua leaves(Sansevieria trifasciata Prain var. Laurentii).

Abstract

Striae Gravidarum can be prevented by giving virgin coconut oil which is pure oil by farmers specifically for the province of North Sulawesi, which is the main product of coconut raw materials containing lauric acid and oleic acid which are effective in maintaining skin elasticity. Sunflower Oil developed without going through genetic engineering from plants contain more linoleic acid than oleic acid. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of giving oil on the incidence of striae gravidarum in pregnant women. Method: analytical research design quasi-experimental approach pre-posttest design with two groups. Samples were all primigravida pregnant women with gestational age of 20-28 weeks as many as 50 samples consisting of 25 respondents were given VCO and 25 respondents were given Sunflower Oil. Bivariate data analysis with t-independent pairet test. The results of this study applying VCO with an average amount of 136.1 ml, there was a difference in the pairet test test(p=0.000) giving sunflower oil before and after applying sunflower oil on average as much as 128 ml there was a difference before and after being given sunflower oil(p= 0.008) The conclusion is there is a difference before and after applying VCO and Sunflower Oil. Abstract

Coconut flour is obtained from the processing of coconut waste and can be used as a substitute for wheat flour or as additional flour in making bread and cakes. Coconut flour has the advantages of a fairly high protein content, being gluten-free, low digestible carbohydrate content, and higher fiber (cellulose) content compared to other types of flour. Hence, it is very suitable for people who are hypersensitive to gluten or for those who are on a diet. This activity aimed to train the community on processing coconut pulp into coconut flour and its use in making cookies. Utaurano Village in Sangihe Islands Regency is known as one of the centers for making coconut oil. Coconut waste has so far only been thrown away or used as a mixture of animal feed. Community service activities by lecturers and students of the Pharmacy Department of the Manado Ministry of Health Polytechnic include training in processing coconut pulp into coconut flour and its use for making cookies. The implementation of the activity was carried out in several stages, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The results showed that in Utaurano village in Sangihe Islands Regency, coconut waste was produced from the VCO manufacturing process by local UMKM. The waste can be processed into coconut flour and used as a substitute for wheat flour for making cookies. The evaluation results show that counseling and training activities can increase knowledge and skills to utilize coconut waste into products with economic value.
