Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of work motivation and work environment on employee performance in a two-star hotel in Bandung City by obtaining accurate data and collecting the necessary data for analysis. The objectives of this study are to determine the magnitude of the influence of work motivation, the magnitude of the influence of the work environment on employee performance, and the magnitude of the influence of work motivation and the work environment on employee performance. The method used is quantitative method and data collection method by distributing questionnaires to a population of 40 respondents. This study used correlation analysis, path analysis, and coefficient of determination analysis. Based on the results of the study, it was found that work motivation and work environment obtained fairly good results, while performance did not obtain good results. The correlation between work motivation and work environment showed a positive relationship with a magnitude of 0.896. The coefficient of determination was 78.7%. The direct and indirect influence of work motivation on employee performance was 0.426, and the influence of the work environment on employee performance was 0.361. Therefore, the total influence is 0.787 or 78.7%, while the remaining 21.3% represents other variables that were not examined in this study but also affect employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of motivation and work environment on employee performance. It employs Descriptive and Verification Methods. The data source utilized in this study consists of a questionnaire administered to employees of a fashion firm located in Bandung. The research has a sample size of 35 respondents. The research employs Descriptive and Verification Methods as its statistical methodologies. The initial step involves employing Correlation Data Analysis, Path Analysis, and Coefficient of Determination Analysis, with assistance from the SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution) program version 26. After conducting a comprehensive study of the data collected, the Motivation, Work Environment, and Employee Performance at a fashion company in Bandung are categorized as somewhat reasonable. The R Square number indicates that it is 75.5%. Employee Performance is primarily influenced by Motivation and Work Environment, accounting for 75.5% of the overall impact. The remaining 24.5% is attributed to unexplored factors. In addition, Motivation has a lesser impact, accounting for 42.3% of the total influence, in contrast to the Work Environment, which has a total influence of 50.6%. Companies should prioritize creating a conducive work atmosphere while striving to optimize Motivation in a fashion company in Bandung.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate how employee performance is impacted by work environment and motivation. In this study, a descriptive and verifiable strategy was employed. Statements (questionnaires) sent to employees of one of the Bandung convective enterprises served as the study's data source. There are thirty-five participants in the study. The research utilizes both descriptive and verificative statistical methodologies. They helped with the SPSS (Statistical et al.) version 26 application by applying Correlation Data Analysis, Path Analysis, and Determination Coefficient Analysis. Motivation, Work Environment, and Employee Performance in one of the Bandung convection enterprises was determined to be related based on the entire data analysis. Thus, the work environment and motivation have an impact on employee performance. Other elements that may impact employee performance should be covered in this study. Furthermore, in comparison to the work environment, motivation has less of an effect. Therefore, the business ought to prioritize the work environment while simultaneously maximizing employee motivation at one of Bandung's convective businesses.
