Abstract

Subitizing, the ability to rapidly and accurately recognize small quantities of objects without counting, has become a primary focus in developing numeracy understanding in early childhood. The research uses a qualitative approach with literature study techniques. The study aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the concept of subitizing, learning trajectories, and recommendations for teaching it to young children, as well as concrete examples from research involving multidisciplinary approaches. The findings indicate that current research explores various aspects of subitizing, ranging from effective teaching strategies to learning trajectories appropriate for children’s developmental stages. Effective subitizing instruction includes the use of relevant number concepts in everyday interactions, practicing naming small collections of objects with numbers, and repeated experiences in recognizing and naming groups of objects. Subitizing learning trajectories encompass developmental processes and the creation of task-supportive environments, ranging from unconscious number understanding to the ability to recognize quantities up to 10 objects. Various research outcomes also highlight the application of subitizing in technology development, such as subitizing games to enhance children’s mathematical abilities and assistive software for children with dyscalculia. Studies in psychology and health fields reveal the complexity of the relationship between subitizing and cognitive functions, such as in children with specific conditions like Cerebral Palsy or brain injuries. With a multidisciplinary approach, current research continues to expand understanding of the benefits of subitizing and its implications in various contexts, from education to health, aiming to enhance children’s learning and well-being holistically.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap hasil analisis penerapan Project Based Learning (PjBL) dan metode pameran dalam upaya meningkatkan motivasi, kemampuan berbicara di depan umum, serta prestasi mahasiswa. Objek penelitian adalah 21 mahasiswa semester tiga (ganjil) yang telah memilih statistik dalam rencana studinya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif yang diuraikan secara deskriptif. Pengumpulan data meliputi tiga teknik, yakni observasi, wawancara, dan tes. Analisis hasil temuan yang didapat dalam penelitian ini menggunakan empat tahapan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan PjBL dan metode pameran telah mampu meningkatkan motivasi dan kemampuan berbicara di depan umum bagi mahasiswa. Antusias mahasiswa meningkat, yang dilacak dari respons ketika mengikuti perkuliahan hingga berperan sebagai presenter produk ketika pameran. Hasil lainnya dalam penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa prestasi akademik mahasiswa yang menerapkan PjBL lebih baik, hingga bisa meraih nilai rata-rata tes (dari UAS) dengan nilai . Sehingga penerapan PjBL dan metode pameran efektif untuk meningkatkan motivasi, kemampuan berbicara di depan umum, serta prestasi mahasiswa. Implikasi penelitian ini berupa penegasan hasil penelitian sebelumnya yang menyatakan penerapan PjBL sukses di laksanakan dalam proses pembelajaran di perguruan tinggi.

Abstract

This research project was conducted to investigate the mathematical aspects, specifically focusing on two-dimensional geometry concepts found in the architectural design of the Tuatunu Grand Masjid, which aimed to integrate these research findings into the mathematics education curriculum. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative methodology from an ethnographic standpoint, information was collected through interviews with two takmir (masjid administrators), as well as through direct observation and documentation. The primary data collection method was direct interaction with participants, which could benefit from further explanation to clarify the specific types of interactions conducted. The analysis process followed Spradley"™s framework, encompassing domain analysis, taxonomy, componential analysis, and identification of cultural themes. The study"™s outcomes highlighted the presence of a variety of geometric shapes within the Tuatunu Grand Masjid, including triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, polygons, and circles. These findings suggest that the masjid can serve as a valuable resource for developing educational materials, including worksheets and textbooks, that are grounded in ethnomathematics. By incorporating the architectural features of the masjid into mathematics education, educators can offer students a tangible and practical context for learning two-dimensional geometry, enhancing their understanding and engagement with the subject matter.

Abstract

Tulisan ini ditujukan sebagai bentuk penyajian tentang beragam pembuktian pada suatu rumus cepat (rumus jarak) dalam materi bangun ruang dimensi tiga. Dalam pembelajaran matematika sekolah, rumus cepat dalam materi bangun ruang dimensi tiga sering digunakan, namun jarang dilengkapi dengan penanaman konsep yang kuat sehingga dapat memberi dampak buruk bagi budaya belajar matematika. Dengan metode penelitian kualitatif melalui kajian kepustakaan, peneliti berupaya untuk berkontribusi memberikan bukti matematis suatu rumus cepat agar dapat menjadi referensi bagi pendidik. Pembuktian rumus cepat dijelaskan dari beragam sudut pandang menggunakan berbagai materi yang masih dalam ruang lingkup geometri. Adapun materi-materi yang dilibatkan meliputi konsep kesebangunan, konsep luas segitiga, konsep bangun ruang dimensi tiga, geometri analitis (dengan sistem koordinat Kartesius), serta dengan pendekatan analisis vektor (vektor ruang).

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are one of the main drivers of national economic growth, playing a crucial role in establishing a healthy economic structure and performance. The government demonstrates its support for MSME actors through financing initiatives, one of which is provided by Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM), which since 2015 has offered capital loans to underprivileged women entrepreneurs. This study aims to determine the influence of business capital financing and product innovation on the business development of communities in Lubuk Besar District, particularly the clients of PNM Mekar Syariah. This research uses a quantitative approach with primary data. The population consists of 2,903 individuals, with 97 respondents selected using a random sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted through validity and reliability tests, classical assumption testing, multiple regression analysis, and hypothesis testing with the assistance of SPSS version 30.0. The results of the study show that partially, business capital financing has a significant effect on business development (significance < 0.001; t-count = 3.488 > t-table = 1.985). Product innovation also shows a significant influence (significance = 0.009; t-count = 2.672 > t-table). Simultaneously, both variables significantly affect business development (F-count = 25.317 > F-table = 3.09). The contribution of these two variables to business development is 35%, while the remaining 65% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.

Abstract

The axioms of fields satisfy over sets of numbers such as , , and . Generally, a set matrix is not commutative for binary multiplication properties, such that cannot satisfy of field axioms. In this paper we will discuss the circulant matrix set which satisfies the commutative properties of multiplication, then it will be shown that the definition of a field is satisfied by the circulant matrix . This can provide a new perspective on a field formed by matrix.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh efisiensi biaya, return on assets (ROA), dan inflasi terhadap pembiayaan berbasis utang pada Bank Umum Syariah di Indonesia periode 2018–2022. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan data panel dan regresi linier berganda, berdasarkan laporan keuangan sepuluh Bank Umum Syariah serta data inflasi dari Bank Indonesia. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial, ROA berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pembiayaan berbasis utang, sedangkan efisiensi biaya dan inflasi tidak berpengaruh signifikan. Secara simultan, ketiga variabel tersebut tidak menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan. Temuan ini memberikan gambaran mengenai faktor internal dan eksternal yang memengaruhi strategi penyaluran pembiayaan berbasis utang oleh Bank Umum Syariah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyajikan ragam pembuktian konsep gradien garis, khususnya hasil kali gradien dua garis yang saling tegak lurus. Dalam matematika sekolah, konsep gradien cukup sering dijumpai. Namun, konsep tersebut jarang dilengkapi dengan penjelasan pembuktian yang akurat, sehingga dikhawatirkan menutup kesempatan siswa untuk berpikir kreatif dan berdampak buruk bagi budaya belajar matematika. Metode penelitian kualitatif digunakan melalui kajian kepustakaan yang bersumber dari video-video Youtube (Math&music, Indrajana, dan MaThCliX®), paparan pembuktian dalam situs diskusi ilmiah Quora (Sagar), serta pembuktian yang disusun oleh peneliti. Dengan mengompilasikan sumber-sumber yang ada, peneliti berupaya untuk menyajikan bukti matematis konsep hasil kali gradien dua garis yang saling tegak lurus. Materi yang dilibatkan dalam penelitian ini meliputi: (1) rotasi sederhana suatu garis, (2) konsep perbandingan dan kesebangunan, (3) teorema Pythagoras, (4) konsep tangen/tan dalam Trigonometri, serta (5) konsep perkalian dot dua vektor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsep perkalian gradien dua garis tegak lurus dapat dibuktikan melalui beragam materi matematika sekolah, sehingga layak dijadikan referensi bagi guru ketika ingin menjelaskan konsep ini dengan baik dan benar serta memiliki dasar pembuktian yang kuat. Penelitian ini dapat berkembang lebih lanjut dengan melengkapi bukti hasil kali gradien dua garis tegak lurus menggunakan konsep lain yang relevan dalam materi matematika sekolah.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the results of the application of Blended Learning with reference to the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model. Blended Learning and PjBL can be packaged as a learning model, namely Project-Based Blended Learning (PjB2L). The design of learning activities with the help of e-campus media is used to measure its impact on student learning outcomes in Statistics courses. The main focus of the research describes two main things, the description of the application of statistics lectures with the PjB2L model and the results of statistical tests on differences in learning outcomes obtained. Quasi-experimental research was designed to compare student learning outcomes in experimental classes (with the PjB2L model) and control classes (conventional/blended direct learning). 43 students were involved in this study which was divided into two classes, namely the control class which included 20 students, and the experimental class which involved 23 students. In addition, on data analysis technique, analysis of covariance (ANCOVA), was used to compare the results of the control group and the experimental group, with the covariance variable being the pre-test results (initial knowledge). The results showed significant differences. The difference shown in this study leads to the support of the experimental group's better learning achievement.
