PEREMPUAN DAN KEMATIAN DALAM SASTRA BANDINGAN: KOLABORASI LAB TEATER CIPUTAT INDONESIA DAN THEATRE COMPANY SHELF JEPANG Pusposari, Wulan; Anoegrajekti, Novi; Gomo Attas, Sitti

Abstract

The comparative literature used by artists creates a unique experience in supporting the appearance of the works of art they are contemplating. The purpose of writing is to explain the interrelated themes/motifs in the two literary works, namely the short story Rintrik by Danarto and the play Sotoba Komachi by Yukio Mishima and to correlate comparative literary studies in theater collaboration work through testimonies from actors/artists involved in the collaborative program. The research method used is descriptive qualitative by placing the object of research, namely the Indonesian Lab Teater Ciputat group and the Japanese Theater Company shelf which are conducting a performing arts collaboration by crossing two literary works from their respective countries. The results of the study show that the themes/motives of death intertwined in both texts are able to add to the richness of references in the collaborative workspaces of the two groups. The themes or motives of death that are explored in the two literary works through a comparative literary approach convey the intertwining of the two works that were born from different zones/spaces/places. The different perspectives on death from the two main female characters in their respective works will add more image spaces for the two directors in formulating their performances. Comparative literature applied by artist practitioners/practitioners can basically be interpreted as a basis for each individual in responding to knowledge and insight into the field they are involved in to make it wider

Abstract

Masyarakat dapat terpelajar dengan berbagai cara. Salah satunya melalui bacaan karya sastra, seperti naskah drama. Imitasi kehidupan melalui kreativitas, dapat seseorang lakukan dalam sebuah karya. Problematika kerusakan alam menjadi topik yang tidak pernah kadaluwarsa. Karya sastra sebagai media untuk menyebarluaskan nilai-nilai dan moral baik dalam kehidupan. Salah satunya naskah drama Mata Air Mata (MAM) karya Laboratorium Teater Ciputat yang mengangkat isu lingkungan. Deseminasi pesan baik ini dapat dilakukan karena sebuah karya sejatinya kumpulan ketidaksadaran kolektif yang perlu ditelusuri petanda dari tokoh-tokoh yang dihadirkannya. Pada penelitian kali ini akan membahas ketidaksadaran kolektif berupa arketipe-arketipe; petanda/semiotik arketipe; dan ideologi tokoh dalam perspektif ekokritik; dalam naskah drama MAM. Pembatasan masalah dibuat hanya berfokus pada tokoh manusia di dalam naskah drama MAM yaitu tokoh Nyi Dara dan Tuamata; dan arketipe (ketidaksadaran kolektif) yang dominan. Metodologi penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Pembahasan akan menggunakan pendekatan ketidaksadaran kolektif Carl Gustav Jung dan semiotik Chales Sanders Peirce. Hasil penelitian menunjukan tokoh Tuamata didapati kemunculan; 7 kesadaran personal; 1 ketidaksadaran personal; ketidaksadaran kolektif berupa arketipe; 1 the lover; 12 the shadow; 3 anima/animus; 13 the wise old man; 2 the explorer; 5 the hero. Tokoh Nyi Dara didapati kemunculan; 2 kesadaran personal; ketidaksadaran kolektif berupa arketipe; 2 the cargiver; 21 the shadow; 5 anima/animus; 5 the mother; 9 the wise old man; 1 the explorer. Arketipe dominan dari tokoh Tuamata yaitu the wise old man menunjukan semiotik; 3 indeks; 2 ikon; dan menunjukan ideologi antroposentrisme. Arketipe dominan dari tokoh Nyi Dara yaitu the shadow menunjukan semiotik; 1 indeks; 2 ikon; dan menunjukan ideologi ekosentrisme.

Abstract

Isu problematika kerusakan alam menjadi topik yang tidak pernah kadaluwarsa. Karya sastra sebagai media untuk menyebarluaskan nilai-nilai dan moral baik dalam kehidupan. Salah satunya naskah drama Mata Air Mata (MAM) karya Lab Teater Ciputat yang mengangkat isu lingkungan. Diseminasi pesan baik ini dapat dilakukan karena naskah MAM merupakan kumpulan ketidaksadaran kolektif yang perlu ditelusuri penanda dan petanda dari tokoh-tokoh yang dihadirkannya. Penelitian ini akan membahas ketidaksadaran kolektif berupa arketipe, semiotik arketipe, dan ideologi tokoh dalam perspektif ekokritik, dalam naskah drama MAM. Pembatasan masalah berfokus pada arketipe dominan tokoh di dalam naskah drama MAM yaitu tokoh Kabut Malam dan Kabut Pagi. Metodologi penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Pembahasan menggunakan teori ketidaksadaran kolektif Carl Gustav Jung dan semiotik Charles Sanders Peirce. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan arketipe dominan dari tokoh Kabut Malam dan Kabut Pagi yaitu the cargiver menunjukkan ideologi antroposentrisme.Kata kunci: Ketidaksadaran Kolektif; Naskah Drama; Lab Teater Cputat

Abstract

The issue of manipulation in the problem of environmental damage is a topic that never expires. Literary works as a medium to disseminate good values ​​and morals in life. One of them is the drama script Mata Air Mata (MAM) by Lab Teater Ciputat which raises environmental issues. Dissemination of this good message can be done because the MAM script is a collection of collective unconsciousness that needs to be traced to the markers and signifieds of the characters it presents. This study will discuss the collective unconsciousness in the form of archetypes, semiotic archetypes, and character ideologies from an ecocritical perspective, in the MAM drama script. The limitation of the problem focuses on the dominant archetype of each character in the MAM drama script, namely the character of Kabut Asap. The research methodology uses qualitative descriptive. The discussion uses the theory of the collective unconscious of Carl Gustav Jung and the semiotics of Charles Sanders Peirce. The results of this study show that the dominant archetype of the Kabut Asap character, namely the trickster, shows the ideology of anthropocentrism.
