Abstract

Fiksimini merupakan karya sastra 140 karakter dan berkembang di media sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuanmendeskripsikan aspek masyarakat, pengarang dan karya sastra dalam Fiksimini. Penelitian ini menggunakanmetode kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa Fiksimini merepresentasikan perubahan sosialdan realitas sosial yang terjadi dalam masyarakat serta pengaruh hubungan antara karya sastra dan masyarakatpengguna internet terhadap perkembangan bentuk Fiksimini.Kata Kunci: Fiksimini, sosiologi sastra, media sosial, internet.

Abstract

Tulisan ini mengkaji lokalitas dalam konteks keindonesiaan. Kajiandifokuskan pada bagaimana teks syair-syair dalam pertunjukan gandrungmengartikulasikan lokalitas dan keindonesiaan. Tulisan ini menggunakan metodeetnografi. Analisis dilakukan dengan inventarisasi data sampai interpretasi sistembudaya Using. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa makna representasi identitasmelalui teks syair-syair gandrung menjelaskan dua hal. Pertama, adanya wilayahpertarungan yang berlangsung dinamis dan tidak stabil. Dominasi sebagai posisiterpenting akan tidak dikenali ketika penetrasinya semakin meluas dan tekanandari kekuatan yang lain terus meningkat. Kedua, representasi identitasmerupakan wilayah pertarungan pemaknaan yang kemudian menyebabkanidentitas itu sendiri lebih merupakan konstruksi dan politik penciptaan. Sebagaisesuatu yang terbangun, identitas merupakan sesuatu yang diskursif, retak, danberubah-ubah mengikuti perubahan ruang-waktu, baik sebagai bagian lokalitasatau bagian dari keindonesiaan.Kata kunci: lokalitas, pertunjukan gandrung, etnografi

Abstract

This paper aims at explaining the development of creative industry-based oral literature. Banyuwangi's oral literature has autonomously developed along with tradition and modern arts, such as janger, fashion, dance, and song. The use of ethnographic method began with an inventory of bibliographic data and was supplemented by field data through interviews, observations, and participation. The story of Sri Tanjung Sidopekso becomes the janger play and theme of Banyuwangi Ethno Carnival. The mantra of jaran goyang  is transformed into dance and song. Various creative industries have the potential as a source of reconstructing oral literature. In coastal societies there has developed oral literature related to maritime culture. In Muncar Banyuwangi, the rituals of petik laut  use spells and maritime cultural symbols, such as mantras, pilgrimages to the tombs of the founders of the Muncar fishing village. While in Payangan Jember, the story of the founders of the fishing village is respected by singing macapat babad Marsodo. All that has a meaning when it becomes action, knowledge, experience, and appreciation of the supporting community. The results show that oral literature has the potential to inspire the creative industries. Likewise reversely, creative industries have the potential as a source for reconstructing oral literature that enriches their forms and versions.

Abstract

Kajian ini menekankan bagaimana komunitas Using memandang, menyikapi, dan mensiasati sastra sebagai ungkapan identitas diri dan persentuhannya dengan kekuatan-kekuatan lain, terutama modernisasi, agama, dan kebijakan negara. Hal ini tampak terlihat pada teks lakon Jinggoan, syair-syair dalam pertunjukan Gandrung, dan basanan wangsalan dalam Warung Bathokan sebagai bentuk resistensi dan representasi identitas Using. Perlawanan terhadap berbagai ancaman, baik yang bersifat fisik maupun pencitraan negatif berulang kali terjadi dalam kesejarahan masyarakat Using. Konsep yang membangun hegemoni adalah budaya dominan (yang sedang berkuasa), budaya residual (unsur budaya yang tersisa dari masa lalu), dan budaya emegrent (unsur budaya yang baru muncul). Dalam analisis etnografis, metode interpretasi dipergunakan untuk mengakses lebih dalam terhadap berbagai domain yang dialamiahkan dan aktivitas karakteristik pelaku budaya yang diteliti. Abstract: This study emphasizes on how Using community view, respond, and anticipate literature as an expression of self identity and relation with other forces, especially modernization, religion and state policy. This can be seen on Jinggoan stories, poems, and basanan Gandrung wangsalan in Warung Bathokan as a form of resistance and the representation of Using identity. Resistance against various threats, both physical and negative imagery occur repeatedly in Using history. The concept that builds hegemony is the dominant culture (which is in power), the residual culture (cultural elements remaining from the past) and culture emegrent (newly emerging cultural elements). In the ethnographic analysis, interpretation method is used to access more of the various domains in which characteristics of perpetrators of cultural activities is being investigated. Abstract

Pemerintah mencanangkan tahun 2009 sebagai Tahun Industri Kreatif. Seni pertunjukan, termasuk tradisi lisan yang ada di dalam pertunjukan menjadi salah satu prioritas yang akan dikembangkan agar bisa meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat pendukungnya. Tujuan tersebut representatif karena masyarakat Indonesia memiliki beragam seni pertunjukan dan sastra lokal yang apabila dikelola dengan baik bisa menjadi penopang munculnya ekonomi kreatif. Banyuwangi, misalnya, memiliki beragam seni pertunjukan dan tradisi lisan, seperti syair­ syair gandrung, lagu­lagu dalam pertunjukan angklung, cerita rakyat jinggoan, dan tradisi wangsalan dan basanan. Sampai saat ini, dinas terkait di Banyuwangi belum dapat membuat kebijakan yang mampu mendukung terciptanya pola pikir, sistem, dan praktik industri kreatif berbasis lokalitas dan tetap mengedepankan karakteristik nilai­nilai kultural yang ada. Untuk itu, tulisan ini bertujuan mengembangkan model industri kreatif berbasis sastra lokal dan budaya Using. Dengan metode etnografis dan analisis yang menggunakan pendekatan cultural studies, model tersebut diharapkan mampu mengembangkan industri kreatif di wilayah lokal. Abstract: The Indonesian government announced the year of 2009 as the Creative Industry Year. Performing art, including oral tradition existing in performance, has become a priority which will be developed to improve the prosperity of its supporting community. This goal is representative because Indonesian people have various performing arts and local literature which, if well managed, will support the creative economy. Banyuwangi, for instance, has various performing arts and oral tradition, such as gandrung poems, songs in angklung performance, jinggoan folklores, and traditions of wangsalan and basanan. To date, the relevant services of Banyuwangi government have not been able to make policies able to support the creation of creative industry pattern of thinking, system, and practice which are locally based and keep on proposing the characteristics of existing cultural values. Therefore, this article is aimed at developing a creative industry model based on Using local literature and culture. By using ethnography method and cultural studies approach, the model is expected to be able to develop the creative industry in the local area. Abstract

The absence of government policy in supporting the creative industry practice is a factor inhibiting the development of performing arts in Banyuwangi. Diverse local performing arts which if managed properly can become a crutch for the emergence of creative economy. This study aims at describing the struggles of women in the tradition arts and in conceptualizing  a creative industry model ba-sed on performing arts. The study employed ethnography. The field data were obtained through interviews with the informants. The interpretation of data used a combination of tradition arts, gender, cultural studies, and creative industry perspectives. The results showed that women of tradition arts in general do not rely their livelihoods on art activitiy. They keep trying to develop creative know-ledge embodied in art creation and innovations. Arts institutions have a develop-ment program to maintain quality. The role of the government is manifested in the forms of policies, facilities, activity forums and infrastructural development. The development of Banyuwangi-style performing arts within the framework of the creative industry can support the realization of the creative economy.Copyright (c) 2015 by KARSA. Abstract

We revisited Wiji Thukul’s poetry from normative and constructivist theories to find the scope of freedom and restriction of opinion and expression through various forms of literary works. We applied stylistic perspective of Jeffries and McIntyre (2010) by involving three of Wiji Thukul's poems, namely Aku Menuntut Perubahan, Sajak Suara, and Puisi Sikap. In their stylistic concept, Jeffries and McIntyre (2010) also have a tendency towards the fields of Pragmatics and Sociolinguistics which emphasized more on speech. Levinson’s Pragmatic approach (1983) connected pragmatics with human aspects, namely psychology, biology, and sociology that were inherent in sign. Therefore, as a symbol (sign) in a literary work, every word and speech were identical and closely related to these three aspects. We perceived that the choice of words in WIji Thukul's poetry aimed to create a threat to the power by the New Order, carried out a protest against the policies and actions of the New Order, made an allusion about the power of the New Order, and denigrated and isolated the New Order. Thus, Wiji Thukul's poetry was a combination and communication between psychological and biological aspects of the author as well as the sociology of society.

Abstract

The article wants to emphasize contestation among authorities in understanding gandrung as identity construction that increased since 2000 until 2005. Blambangan Art Council and bureaucracy, for example, tried to increase Using identity through political policies. By using hegemony perspective, especially in the concept of contestation among residual, dominant, and emergent culture, I will analyze (1) the process of the contestation for gandrung among bureaucracy, santri, and capitalist in the context of representation of Using identity based on socio-cultural powers of each authority in particular times and spaces and (2) the power position of each authority in crafting hegemony towards gandrung. As something constructed, cultural identity is discursive, fractured, and dynamic based on times and spaces. Representation of Using identity is a battle-field in a cultural political project.

Abstract

Abstrak Subjektivitas dalam psikoanalisis Lacan adalah proses pencarian, mengetahui, atau mengidentifikasi identitas diri subjek. Proses identifikasi selalu mendapat dorongan dari hasrat, dan pergerakan hasrat mendapat pengaruh dari kekuatan bawah sadar. Secara mendasar hasrat di bagi menjadi dua macam, yakni hasrat narsistik dan hasrat anaklitik. Perkembangan subjektivitas seseorang akan melewati tiga tahap (tripatrie) yakni, tahap Nyata (Real), tahap Imajiner (Imajinary), dan tahap Siombol (syimbolic). Implementasinya dalam penelitian ini adalah, bahwa Mardi Luhung, Lennon Machali dan Rikhwan Rifai merupakan penyair Gresik yang selalu kekurangan, dan mengalami keterbelahan dalam memenuhi hasrat idealnya. Perkembangan subjektivitas penyair Gresik dapat diidentifikasi melalui pergerakan hasrat narsistik dan hasrat anaklitik. Mekanisme tersebut dijelaskan dengan metode tripatrie Lacan. Kata Kunci: Psikoanalisis Jacques Lacan. Hasrat. Subjektivitas. Penyair Gresik.
