Abstract

Determination of the right food crops needs to be done to improve the community's economy in the agricultural sector. The use of traditional cropping patterns needs to be changed by utilizing information technology. The utilization of data from local governments can be used to assist in providing recommendations for types of food crops by processing them with several data mining methods. This method can extract information to find patterns and knowledge from the data. The classification method approach is used as a grouping of data based on data attachment to sample data. This study uses several classification methods, namely Naïve Bayes, Decision Tree, Support Vector Machine (SVM), Neural Network, Random Tree, Random Forest, dan K Nearest Neighbor (KNN). These methods were successfully compared to find out which method is the best to help recommend appropriate and accurate food crops based on the results of the classification performance of each method. Random Tree was chosen as the best method for the results of this performance comparison using discretization and normalization methods at the pre-processing stage of the data. It can be seen based on the results of the Accuracy, Precision, Recall, and F1-Score values on the use of discretization of 98%, respectively. Meanwhile, normalization showed that the results of the Accuracy, Precision, Recall, and F1-Score values are 99%, respectively.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has shown an increasing trend of digital platform users on social media such as Whatsapp, Facebook, Instagram, and Discord. The social media that is widely used to communicate massively is Discord. Discord already has 250 million registered active users from various countries worldwide. However, users from various countries create language differences when communicating. So we need a method for translating foreign languages, especially English to Indonesian, easily and quickly to make communication more understandable. This study aims to create a Discord chatbot that translates English sentences into Indonesian. The method built in the chatbot is designed using the MarianNMT model for language translation and the English corpus dataset from Open Parallel corPUS (OPUS). The model was trained using 15 epochs and obtained evaluation results with a loss of 0.0047.

Abstract

This study presents the planning and iterative development of an enterprise application architecture for the Billet Stacker Rail system in an aluminum manufacturing environment. The system is designed to enhance the management of billet logistics, including receiving, inspection, stacking, and transfer processes. Using the Agile methodology, particularly the Scrum framework, the development team collaborated closely with operational stakeholders to capture requirements and validate functionality through a series of Sprints. The process included modeling workflows, designing class and entity diagrams, and creating interactive user interface mockups. The system architecture was developed incrementally to support modularity, traceability, and real-time data recording. Each component from billet tracking to user management was prototyped and refined based on continuous feedback. The Agile approach facilitated rapid adjustments to changing requirements, reduced development risk, and supported a user-centered design process. The result is a robust and scalable application blueprint that aligns with the industrial environment’s needs for efficiency, reliability, and transparency in billet management operations.

Abstract

In the contemporary landscape, technology holds pivotal significance across diverse domains, including academia and industry. The Faculty of Industrial Engineering at Telkom University faces challenges in optimizing the value derived from its IT investments to meet evolving market demands. To address this, IT governance methodologies are essential, ensuring effective and secure IT utilization aligned with strategic objectives. This study investigates and evaluates the IT delivery value process at the Faculty of Industrial Engineering, Telkom University, using the COBIT 2019 Domain APO04 framework and LAM INFOKOM standards. Data collection involved primary interviews and secondary document analysis. The analysis revealed gaps in assessing emerging technologies and recommending further initiatives. Recommendations span people, process, and technology aspects, aiming to enhance technology evaluation procedures and documentation. This study provides insights into effectively leveraging IT to achieve the Faculty's objectives and enhance decision-making quality.

Abstract

This study examines the application of the COBIT 2019 framework within the Faculty of Industrial Engineering at Telkom University, specifically focusing on the Monitor, Evaluate, and Assess (MEA) domain to assess IT management performance against the standards set by the Independent Accreditation Body for Informatics and Computer Science (LAM-INFOKOM). Through a meticulous analysis, a significant gap was identified in MEA01.04 - Analyze and Report Performance, indicating a lack of proper documentation for change recommendations in objectives and metrics. Recommendations to bridge this gap include the incorporation of a Research Analyst role, clarification of responsibilities, provision of data analysis training, enhancement of inter-team communication, establishment of clear policy guidelines, and the creation of specialized record formats. These suggestions aim at improving the alignment of IT governance with both COBIT and LAM-INFOKOM standards, enhancing IT performance management, and ensuring a strategic fit between IT operations and organizational goals. The findings underscore the critical role of structured IT governance in achieving operational excellence and sustaining competitive advantage in the digital era.

Abstract

In the era of rapid technological development, Information Technology (IT) plays a critical role in the operational aspects of companies/organizations, including educational institutions like Telkom University. The proper implementation of IT can enhance system efficiency and integration within an institution. IT Governance aims to ensure that the measurement of effectiveness and efficiency within an agency aligns with its strategic goals. Telkom University, especially the Faculty of Industrial Engineering, is one of the educational institutions focusing on the development of Information Technology to ensure that the information systems and technologies used in academic activities are effective. COBIT 2019 is a framework developed by ISACA to organize and implement strategies in information management and governance with international standards. In this analysis, the focus is on the APO12 domain of COBIT 2019, which plays a role in IT risk management. The Faculty of Industrial Engineering also requires standardization with LAM-INFOKOM, an accreditation body that establishes standards for risk management in informatics and computer science. This research aims to map the standards of LAM-INFOKOM and COBIT 2019 to determine the capability level of Risk Management. Additionally, it aims to provide recommendations for potential improvements in three aspects: people, process, and technology. The expected outcome of this research is to enhance risk management at the Faculty of Industrial Engineering, Telkom University, to align with LAM-INFOKOM standards and the institution's vision and mission. The results of the IT Risk Management analysis using the COBIT 2019 framework can also serve as a structured approach for other universities in improving IT Governance.
