Abstract

Sheep farming is a business that can provide economic improvement and welfare for the community in Deli serdang district in general and Bangun Sari Baru Village in particular. Raising sheep has advantages over other types of livestock, because sheep are easy to raise, breed quickly, have a market that is always available at any time and require relatively little capital when compared to larger ruminant livestock such as cattle. Sheep farming that has been carried out is greatly influenced by the existence of feed that is usually obtained from plantations in the surrounding environment which is decreasing in capacity due to land conversion. So far, sheep have been given feed in the form of green grasses, cassava leaves and elephant grass. However, a lot of leftover food is wasted because it cannot be consumed optimally by livestock such as cassava stalks at the ends and elephant grass stalks. Therefore, feed enumeration is very necessary to minimize wasted feed. In addition to obstacles in the provision of feed, another obstacle faced by partners is the need for hygienic milk packaging. Thus, the milk chopper and packaging machine is a solution that is considered to be able to solve the problems faced by goat farming partners, namely Mr. Abu Daud in Bangun Sari Baru Village, Tanjung Morawa District, Deli Serdang Regency.

Abstract

Kemampuan berkompetisi di dalam bidang industri di Indonesia semakin pesat. Perusahaan atau UMKM dituntut untuk semakin meningkatkan kualitas serta pelayanan untuk meningkatkan daya tarik terhadap konsumen. PT. Berlian Eka Sakti Tangguh adalah perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang pengolahan minyak kelapa sawit menjadi minyak goreng dan sabun. Pengendalian input yang belum maksimal akibat dari permintaan yang tidak menentu dari konsumen menyebabkan produktivitas naik turun setiap bulannya yang menyebabkan masalah pada lantai produksi di PT. Berlian Eka Sakti Tangguh, maka oleh karena itu dilakukan pendekatan dengan menggunakan metode OMAX (Objective Matrix) dan FTA (Fault Tree Analisys). Dengan menghitung seluruh input yang berhubungan di lantai produksi maka dihasilkan bahwa pada bulan November dengan nilai paling tinggi 417,86 dan bulan Maret dengan nilai paling rendah 121,52

Abstract

The ever-increasing global energy demand necessitates the development of environmentally friendly and sustainable alternative fuels. Biodiesel is a potential solution, mainly when produced from used cooking oil through the transesterification process. This study aims to evaluate the effect of reaction time on the calorific value of biodiesel using the linear regression method. The calorific value was chosen as the primary parameter because it reflects the energy produced by the fuel. The study analyzed experimental data correlating the transesterification reaction time with the biodiesel calorific value. The results showed that the optimal reaction time was 80 minutes, yielding the highest calorific value of 41.35 MJ/kg, exceeding the ASTM D6751 standard. However, the effect of reaction time on calorific value was not statistically significant, with a P-value of 0.67 and a regression coefficient of 0.02. The decrease in calorific value after 80 minutes is likely caused by overreaction, reducing efficiency. The findings indicate that reaction time is not the sole factor influencing biodiesel calorific value. Future research recommendations include incorporating variables such as reaction temperature and raw material molar ratio to enhance model accuracy. This study is expected to provide a foundation for developing high-quality biodiesel that meets international standards.

Abstract

Currently the problems being faced by PT. XXX Medan is a biscuit defect that exceeds the standard defect limit desired by the company, namely a maximum of 5%. Based on these conditions, it is necessary to resolve the causes of biscuit defects using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method. The results of the Cause and Effect Diagram and FMEA analysis that have been carried out, it is known that the highest RPN value is 320, namely the oven temperature changes causing the biscuits to not be cooked perfectly, so it is necessary to control by checking the cooking temperature parameters on the oven machine display so that they always match the temperature. which are expected. Improvements need to be made to the SOP by establishing a system for checking the machine display every certain time during cooking so that the temperature value does not change. The response to the cause of this failure is continuous maintenance.

Abstract

Textile construction methods such as reinforcing floors using fiber reinforced concrete (pillow filling materials), crack panels (cotton blankets), high density covers (mortality materials) and geotextiles have been developed. e PT Hilon Sumatra has not met the safety standards. in the workplace and may be subordinate to them. The purpose of this study is to analyze the risks and causes of occupational accidents. The method used in the study is the HIRA (risk and action) method. The HIRA method is used to identify possible risks and provides an assessment of risks based on the level of risk and severity of the problem. Based on the results of the study it was concluded: The results of the study show that in the final stage there is a very high risk in the tube part of the color up to 14 strengths, at the levels risk in the middle risk (M) of 12% . Risk (H) 44% and high risk (E) 44%. Hazard information includes safety information, K3 promotion, K3 training, emergency models, posters, banners, safety letters and safety signs. Currently, the risk management methods that have been introduced include control, the use of ADP and the use of ergonomic work equipment.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Penerapan Teknologi Tepat Guna (PPTTG) ini bertujuan meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi produksi keripik ubi mitra melalui rekayasa mesin pemotong keripik. Mitra sebelumnya menghadapi kendala karena proses pemotongan masih manual, sehingga produksi lambat dan sering menolak pesanan. Selain itu, biaya produksi menjadi tinggi karena tenaga kerja yang intensif. Solusi yang ditawarkan adalah penggunaan mesin pemotong keripik, yang mempercepat proses produksi dan menurunkan biaya potong. Dengan demikian, kapasitas produksi meningkat, pesanan dapat terpenuhi, dan pendapatan mitra pun bertambah. Selain pengadaan mesin, mitra juga diberi pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam manajemen biaya produksi. Mereka diajarkan mencatat biaya pengadaan bahan baku, hasil produksi, dan harga jual secara tertulis. Hal ini membantu mitra memahami struktur biaya dan keuntungan secara lebih jelas, serta mendukung perencanaan pengembangan usaha. Dengan penguasaan teknologi dan manajemen yang baik, mitra diharapkan mampu mengembangkan usahanya secara lebih terarah dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The facility layout design greatly affects the performance of a company. Poor facility layout will lead to poor material flow patterns and relatively high movement of materials, products, information, equipment and labor which causes delays in product completion and increases production costs. Facility layout design aims to analyze improvements in production activities. In preparing the layout of the facility, this research applies the 5S method to see what needs to be improved and to redesign the factory layout. The object of this research was conducted at PT. XYZ. The results showed that the redesign of the facility layout of the light bulb processing factory of PT.XYZ consists of several parts that must be improved in order to obtain the best final layout. The redesign of this facility layout does not have to require additional areas, this can be done by rearranging it. Based on the trial questionnaire before applyingthe 5S method,it was found that seiri,seiso,seiton,seiketsu,shitsuke needed improvement, while after redesigning using 5S method, it was found that only seiketsu and shitsuke needed improvement.

Abstract

The concept of All-Gender Facilities has caused controversy in many countries, especially regarding the experience of users who feel uncomfortable with the presence of other genders in private spaces such as toilets and changing rooms. This study aims to explore the acceptance of the community in the Greater Jakarta area towards the All Gender Facility, especially in the use of toilets and changing rooms. A qualitative approach with a case study method is used to understand and analyze the response of society influenced by social and cultural norms. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with eight purposively selected informants. The results of the study show that awareness and first experience in using the All Gender Facility are influenced by the level of social media exposure and personal experience when using it. Security and hygiene factors, including space design and management, are the main elements that affect user privacy and comfort. Consideration of cultural norms in the implementation of the All Gender Facility has a very important role in community acceptance. The multicultural community of Greater Jakarta shows resistance to this concept due to cultural and religious considerations. However, in terms of functionality, this concept is acceptable on the condition of a design that pays attention to user privacy and security.
