Abstract

This research delves into the crucial aspect of diversity within generative models, exploring both its understanding and potential enhancement. Diversity in generative models refers to the ability of the model to produce a wide range of outputs that cover the variability present in the underlying data distribution. Understanding diversity is fundamental for assessing the quality and applicability of generative models across various domains, including natural language processing, computer vision, and creative arts. We discusses existing methods and metrics for evaluating diversity in generative models and highlights the importance of diversity in promoting fairness, robustness, and creativity. It explores strategies for enhancing diversity in generative models, such as regularization techniques, diversity-promoting objectives, and novel architectures. By advancing our understanding of diversity and implementing techniques to enhance it, generative models can better capture the complexity and richness of real-world data, leading to improved performance and broader applicability.

Abstract

Sprinkler irrigation control is necessary not only for efficiency but also for reducing bulb rot in shallot cultivation caused by excessive watering. This study developed an Arduino-based automatic control system for a combustion-engine-powered sprinkler irrigation setup to prevent overwatering in shallot farming in Enrekang Regency, Indonesia. The system used a servo motor to adjust the throttle lever of the combustion engine, allowing it to stop pumping the water when the soil moisture level detected by the YL-69 sensor exceeded the optimal threshold. This ensured that the irrigation was applied according to the ideal soil moisture level. The testing included infiltration rate measurement, sprinkler uniformity analysis, sensor calibration, system performance evaluation, and shallot yield assessment. The results showed an average irrigation uniformity coefficient (CU) of 84.34%, with the system operating for 10–28 minutes to maintain soil moisture at no more than 70%. The plot using the control system yielded 140 kg of shallots, whereas the plot without the system produced only 96.2 kg. Additionally, the percentage of rotten shallots in the control plot was 5%, which was significantly lower than that observed in the uncontrolled plot (18%). This system effectively reduced bulb rot, demonstrating its feasibility for optimizing water use and improving crop productivity in areas without access to electricity.

Abstract

The main issue addressed in this study is the weak internalization of religious moderation values in primary education institutions when dealing with diversity. A lack of understanding of differences and the limited implementation of multicultural education may lead to intolerance. Therefore, it is important to examine how multicultural education management practices in elementary schools can serve as effective strategies for instilling moderate values and shaping tolerant and inclusive generations. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with field research conducted at SD Pelita Hati Jember. Data were collected through participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation using purposive sampling. Data analysis followed the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model, which includes data condensation, display, and verification. Data validity was ensured through triangulation and member checking. The findings indicate that SD Pelita Hati Jember demonstrates a strong commitment to inclusive and globally oriented multicultural education through the integration of the 2013 National Curriculum and the Cambridge curriculum, tolerant leadership, and cross-cultural programs. Active learning and inclusive teaching practices help shape students’ religious moderation. However, infrastructure limitations remain a key challenge. Sustaining multicultural education requires institutional support and enhanced teacher capacity. This school serves as a strategic model for building moderate character in Indonesia’s plural society. This study contributes by providing an applicable model of multicultural education management in elementary schools. The findings offer valuable insights for policymakers and educators in designing inclusive learning strategies to promote moderate character in the context of Indonesia's diverse society.

Abstract

Global ecosystems are seriously threatened by climate change, which calls for creative mitigation strategies. In an effort to fill a knowledge vacuum on the subject, this paper investigates the relationship between arms control and climate change mitigation. Specifically, it looks at how arms control policies may boost climate resilience. The research utilizes a thorough literature assessment, incorporating past viewpoints on arms control and current approaches to mitigating climate change. Approach-wise, a qualitative study is carried out to evaluate the empirical and theoretical relationship between weapons control policies and climate change mitigation. Important conclusions show that some weapons control programs can favorably impact climatic outcomes, offering a little-considered option for tackling environmental and security issues. The policy implications highlight the necessity of a more integrated approach to environmental governance and security, and the creation of focused, interdisciplinary policies is emphasized in the recommendations for future research. This study adds to the current conversation on mitigating climate change by providing a fresh viewpoint that supports the double advantages of successful arms control policies in promoting environmental sustainability on a worldwide scale.

Abstract

In the presented work, some characteristics of devices of adaptive and control-tracking control systems are considered. The characteristic features of angle sensors, methods of converting analog signals with high accuracy (for example, sine-cosine transformers) occupies a leading position among the development and research of tracking systems. The modern electronic element base opens up new possibilities - the creation of tracking digital angle converters (TDAC) using the principles of digital tracking and adaptive control in them. Stability, efficiency, load form determines the reliability, accuracy, economy, service life of electromechanical automation devices, test equipment, etc. Determining the characteristics, establishing analytical relationships between the initial data and output parameters is one of the stages of the algorithm for solving the problems of designing equipment parameters for monitoring and tracking control systems, which in turn contributes to the development of a mathematical model from a system of equations, the joint solution of which allows you to establish analytical relationships between the initial data and settings.

Abstract

This article explores the complex environmental impacts of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and suggests sustainable development strategies. Our study reveals significant changes in land use patterns, including loss of important habitat, which is contributing to biodiversity decline. Analysis of air quality data shows increased levels of pollutants in urban areas along the corridor, which are exacerbated by construction activity and increased traffic. Water resource assessments highlight issues related to quality and availability, especially in areas with high industrial activity. In response to these findings, we suggest methods for mitigating and adapting to climate change along the corridor. Interpreting these findings, we argue that these assessments are critical for identifying potential environmental problems and ensuring that development initiatives are built with long-term sustainability in mind. Recommendations for mitigating climate change include international cooperation, increasing public awareness, and using resilient design principles. For future development projects, we include sustainable practices, community involvement and compliance with environmentally friendly standards as important elements in economic growth. We draw conclusions by emphasizing the need for future studies to track long-term impacts, evaluate socio-economic implications, and implement environmentally friendly strategies, maintaining a long-term balance between economic development and environmental conservation in CPEC and other international projects.
