Abstract

In the Mathematics curriculum, the subject of circles is considered one of the challenging topics for students. Many students struggle with the application in daily life. One effort to address this is by implementing the Problem-Based Learning model in learning process. The aim of this study is to determine the learning outcomes of students through the Problem-Based Learning model, specifically in the subject of circles. This type of research is experimental. The learning outcome obtained through the Problem-Based Learning model wascompared to the mathematics KKM (Minimum Graduation Standard) score in the school, which was 80. The population in this research was all sixth-grade students of MIN 9 Banda Aceh, and the sample was 25 sixth-grade students randomly selected. The instrument used in this research was a test. Based on the evaluation results at the last meeting, the average student score was 87,1 with a standard deviation of 8,30. In the hypothesis testing, a right-sided t-test was used, with a significant level of α = 0,05. The calculation results showed that the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning model in the circle subjectin the sixth grade of MIN 9 Banda Aceh exceeds the KKM.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low understanding of mathematical concepts at MIN 26 Aceh Besar. Data obtained from 26 students show that 27.88% of students can solve problems with the indicator of restating a concept, 41.35% can solve problems with the indicator of identifying examples and non-examples of a concept, and 30.77% can solve problems with the indicator of identifying objects according to specific properties in line with the concept. The low understanding of these concepts is due to the lack of students' desire to learn the material presented and their failure to pay attention to the material explained by the teacher. This study aims to determine the impact of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach assisted by unit cube props on the conceptual understanding of fifth-grade students at MIN 26 Aceh Besar. This research uses a quantitative method with a true-experimental design. The population in this study comprises all fifth-grade students at MIN 26 Aceh Besar, while the samples are class Va, consisting of 26 students, and class Vb, consisting of 23 students. The instrument used in this research is a test to measure students' conceptual understanding. The data collection technique is a test in the form of a pre-test and post-test. Data analysis techniques include converting ordinal data into interval data using the Method of Successive Intervals (MSI), creating frequency distribution lists, calculating average values, conducting normality tests, homogeneity tests, equality of two means tests, regression tests, and hypothesis tests. Based on the analysis results, the average score obtained in the experimental class pre-test is 12.59 and in the control class is 11.17. Meanwhile, the post-test average score for the experimental class is 18.598, and for the control class, it is 13.672. The analysis results show that t_{calculated} = 9.425 and t_{table} = 1.677; since t_{calculated} > t_{table}, Ho is rejected, and Ha is accepted.Keywords: Realistic Mathematics Education, Unit Cube Props

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pemanfaatan KBBI daring sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata bahasa Indonesia pada mahasiswa PGMI UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif yang dapat diartikan sebagai prosedur pemecahan masalah yang diselidiki dengan menggambarkan keadaan subjek atau objek dalam penelitian dapat berupa orang, lembaga, masyarakat dan yang lainnya yang pada saat sekarang berdasarkan fakta-fakta yang tampak atau apa adanya. Penguasaan kosakata sangat diperlukan karena semakin banyak kosakata yang dimiliki seseorang, maka semakin mudah pula ia menyampaikan dan menerima informasi, bahkan kosakata dapat digunakan sebagai tolak ukur kepandaian seseorang. KBBI daring sebagai sebuah media teknologi yang bisa didapatkan dengan mudah. Pada gawai, KBBI daring sebagai sebuah aplikasi tersendiri yang dapat diunduh secara mudah dan penggunaannya bisa dilakukan tanpa menggunakan jaringan internet. Tampilan KBBI daring cukup menarik, substansinya juga lengkap yaitu terdiri atas kelas kata, ragam, bahasa, dan bidang. Pemanfaatan KBBI daring dalam meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata bahasa Indonesia bisa dilakukan dengan enam kegiatan yang menitikberatkan pada kegiatan menulis. Terdapat enam kegiatan dengan pemanfaatan KBBI daring sebagai upaya meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata bahasa Indonesia.  Pemanfaatan KBBI daring dalam meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata bahasa Indonesia mendapat skor maksimal pada unit I sebesar 73,77%dan II (76,29%), sedangkan pada unit III (64,32%) mendapat skor rendah sehingga untuk keseluruhan mencapai 70% keberhasilan pemanfaatan KBBI daring. Kata Kunci: KBBI daring, Kosakata bahasa Idonesia

Abstract

This research is motivated by the limited learning media that can attract students' attention when learning thematic lessons. This research aims to develop bulletin media for thematic learning that is feasible and practical for elementary school students. The research method used is Research and Development using the ADDIE model. The results of the research show that the use of thematic learning bulletin media for class five of State Islamic Primary School 8 Aceh Barat Daya is considered very good for media experts 87%, material experts 75% (good) and language experts 85% (very good). Meanwhile, response data was obtained from 90% of small class teachers (very practical), 92% of large class teachers (very practical). For student response data, 95% of small class students and 95.5% of large class students were obtained and were considered very practical. Based on research results, it shows that the thematic learning bulletin media for class five of State Islamic Primary School 8 Aceh Barat Daya is very practical for use by teachers and students in the teaching and learning process in class.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter adalah penerapan nilai-nlai moral dan agama pada peserta didik melalui ilmu pengetahuan. Penerapan nilai tersebut baik terhadap diri sendiri, keluarga, sesama teman, terhadap pendidik dan lingkungan sekitar maupun Tuhan Yang Maha Esa. Perkembangan sosial anak usia sekolah dasar sudah bertambah, dari yang awalnya hanya bersosial dengan keluarga di rumah, kemudian berangsur-angsur mengenal orang-orang di sekitarnya. Anak pada usia ini juga telah mengenal gaya hidup digital, baik itu dari rumah, teman-teman, sekolah dan lingkungan sekitar. Eradigital tidak hanya punya dampak positif, tapi juga berdampak negatif. Pendidikan di era digital saat ini sangatlah pesat, kemajuan dalam bidang teknologi tidak hanya dinikmati oleh orang dewasa saja, anak-anak usia sekolah dasar juga sudah bisa menikmati dari hasil perkembangan teknologi saat ini. Teknologi banyak dimanfaatkan dalam dunia pendidikan, sebagai sarana dan prasarana interaksi antara pendidik dan peserta didik. Perkembangan teknologi saat ini mempunyai dampak positif dan dampak negatif, sebaiknya dampak positif lebih dominan dimanfaatkan oleh pengguna teknologi.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to improve student learning outcomes in Civics learning by implementing the Word Square Model Assisted by Poster Media to Improve Learning Outcomes. This type of research is PTK which includes four stages, namely: planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages carried out in three cycles, with research subjects totaling 26 students. Data collection techniques use observation instruments, questionnaires and tests. This data is analyzed using a percentage formula. The results of the research through the application of the Word Square Model Assisted by Poster Media to Improve and the Learning Outcomes of Class V Students have increased. The results of observing teacher activities in the Pre-Cycle were 45.31%, then increased in cycle I, namely 76.13%, in cycle II it increased to 88.63%, in cycle III it became 100%. Student activity in the Pre-Cycle was 43.61%, then increased in cycle I, namely 70.45%, in cycle II it increased to 93.18%, in cycle III it became 100%. Meanwhile, learning outcomes in the Pre-Cycle were 30.76%, then increased in cycle I, namely 53.86%, in cycle II it increased to 73.07%, in cycle III it became 92.30%. It can be concluded that the Word Square Model Assisted with Poster Media can increase the activity and learning outcomes of class V students at SDN 33 Banda Aceh.
