Abstract

This research aims 1) the realization of a practical application system for Computer Based Test Online for Standard Arabic Language (ILAA). 2) Describing the feasibility of the ILAA. The research and development model used is the ADDIE (Analysis-Design-Development-Implementation-Evaluation) model developed by Reiser and Mollenda in 1990. This model was chosen because when used in the development, this process is considered sequential and interactive. The evaluation of each stage can bring development to the previous stage. The result of one stage is the initial product for the next stage. The Language Development Center of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, Indonesia as the subject and data collection techniques using structured interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed using the percentage formula. The results: 1) Development of the Online CBT Application for Arabic Language Test (ILAA) using MOODLE (Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment). The ILAA Arabic language test CBT application can be accessed through www.tesbahasa.uin-malang.ac.id. 2) Based on expert and student assessments; The Arabic language test online CBT application (ILAA) at the Language Development Center of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang is perfect and easy to use. This is evidenced by 93% of respondents choosing very good, easy, clear, and precise. Only 4.8% chose very poor and poor, less accessible and less precise answers.

Abstract

البلاغة تعني مطابقة الكلام لمقتضى الحال، والذي يطابق مقولة "لكل مقام مقال"، ولا شك في أن الفصاحة شرط أساسي في بلاغة الكلام، وهو علم جمال الكلام وعلم جمال الأدب. يتركز هذا البحث على الدراسة المكتبية لفهم البلاغة العربية واتجاهاته القديمة والجديدة. لعلم البلاغة أهمية سياقية بالغة الفائدة، حيث إننا نستطيع التعرّف على معنى الجملة عند وضعها في سياقي كلامي ضمن تركيب معيّن بترتيب معيّن مدروس بالشكل الذي يعين القارئ على فهم معنى الجملة بشكل واضح ودال على مراد المتكلم، ومنعا للالتباس الذي قد يصيب القارئ إثر ذكر المتحدث كلمات غامضة المعنى منفردة الذكر، والأهم من كله لمعرفة إعجاز القرآن الكريم وفهمه.

Abstract

Arabic learning at the State Islamic Religious Universities has not used many applications. This is due to the unavailability of the proper application. The Arabic learning application "HATI" can contribute to learning Arabic. The purpose of this study is to describe the use of the "HATI" application from the perspective of PTKIN students. The research method used is descriptive quantitative using a questionnaire instrument. This study's results indicate that using the HATI application in learning Arabic at PTKIN is very easy and interesting. This is proven that 26.25% of respondents answered that it was effortless to operate the HATI application, 42.43% of respondents answered that it was easy, 22.06% of respondents answered that it was not easy, and 8.97% of respondents said it was not very easy. While 37.87% of respondents answered very interesting, 48.16% answered interesting, 8.82% answered less attractive, and 4.96% answered very unattractive.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the contribution and role of Language Centers in actualizing World-Class University within the State Islamic Higher Education (PTKIN). This research was a case study using qualitative approach. The subjects were two Language Centers located at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta and UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. In collecting data, researchers conducted interviews and documentation. The data collected were analyzed through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that the contribution and role of the Language Centers were very significant in supporting the actualization of World-Class University. Both Language Centers have contributed to a) improve/increase foreign language skills, b) detect language skills, c) archive important translated documents, and d) organizing language-related training or workshops. They had a role in building a global university brand through international cooperation, seminars or conferences, and sending lecturers to Al-Azhar University in Egypt to introduce the Indonesian language and culture. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi dan peran Pusat Pengembangan Bahasa dalam mewujudkan World Class University di lingkungan PTKIN. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kasus dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Ada dua Pusat Bahasa yang menjadi subjek penelitian yaitu yang berlokasi di UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta dan Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. Dalam pengumpulan data, peneliti melakukan wawancara dan dokumentasi. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan cara reduksi data, sajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kontribusi dan peran Pusat Pengembangan Bahasa sangat signifikan dalam mendukung terwujudnya WCU. Kedua Pusat Bahasa telah memberikan kontribusi dalam: a) peningkatan kemampuan berbahasa asing, b) mendeteksi kemampuan berbahasa, c) mendokumentasikan dokumen-dokumen terjemahan penting, dan d) menyelenggarakan pelatihan atau workshop terkait bahasa. Sedangkan peran keduanya di antaranya membangun global brand universitas melalui kerja sama internasional, seminar atau konferensi, dan pengiriman dosen ke Universitas Al-Azhar di Mesir untuk memperkenalkan bahasa dan budaya Indonesia.
