Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of a combination of biological compost and intervals of weeding on weed diversity in the cultivation of local sticky rice maize in Sumbawa in saline land. To determine the effect of giving biological compost on weed diversity in the cultivation of local sticky rice maize in Sumbawa on saline land. To determine the effect of weeding intervals on weed diversity on the cultivation of local Sumbawa glutinous maize in saline land. The research was conducted in Baru Tahan Village, North Moyo District, Sumbawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) and was carried star March to May 2020. The method used was an experimental method. The experimental design used was a factorial randomized block design (RBD) with 2 factors, namely Biological Compost (A) and Weed Interval (B). With 6 treatments and 3 replications in order to obtain 18 experimental plots. The data from the observations were analyzed using analysis of variance (Anova) at a significant level of 5%. The results showed that the effect of single treatment and combination of biological compost dosage and weeding interval were not significantly different in all parameters of weed diversity observation.

Abstract

This study is a case study of the influence of the decline in pepper prices on the economy of the people of Bencah Village, Bangka Belitung Islands. The research was conducted aimed at finding out how much the impact of the current decline in pepper prices on the income of the people in the study location. Where this research was carried out in Bencah Village,Air Gegas District,South Bangka Regency,Bangka Belitng Islands. By using primary and secondary data. Primary data is done through questionnaire distribution techniques with the number of respondents as many as 35 people selected from the farmers, entrepreneurs, civil servants and honorariums as well as secondary data through a study of related party reports and documents that have a correlation and relevance to this study.Then analyzed by descriptive and qualitative approaches, namely through the presentation and preparation of data in the form of percentages. The results of the study and discussion found that 94.6% of the village community felt that the decline in pepper prices had an impact on their income. The range of decreases in income perceived by farmer groups is 70% -100%, income entrepreneurs are decreasing in the range of 40% -70%,while for people who work as civil servants and honerers their income declines range from 20% -40% .The solution given by the government regarding the problems in this study is the pepper warehouse receipt prpgram which is currently not realized at the research location.

Abstract

The processing of fruit peel waste into an eco-enzyme is a simple and environmentally friendly technology. This community service program aimed to empower the community through the production of eco-enzyme and eco-enzyme soap in Negeri Hatu. This PKM activity was conducted on May 24, 2025, in Negeri Hatu, Leihitu Barat District, Central Maluku Regency, involving 23 women from the local women's service group. The methods used included lectures and training on the production of eco-enzyme and eco-enzyme soap. Participants were provided with a mini-handbook to facilitate understanding of the material. Subsequently, participants were trained in groups to produce eco-enzyme and eco-enzyme soap. Participant enthusiasm was evident from the various questions raised regarding the eco-enzyme and its benefits. After the activity, participants gained knowledge and understanding of the eco-enzyme and its production process, which they had previously lacked. The results of the activity showed that participants successfully practised the production of eco-enzyme and eco-enzyme soap. It is expected that participants will be able to process fruit peel waste into an eco-enzyme in every household as a concrete step toward reducing organic waste and increasing family economic value.

Abstract

Awareness of the importance of preserving coastal and marine environments can be fostered through various channels. The objective of this community service program (CSP) is to cultivate environmental awareness among adolescents in Negeri Hutumuri, Ambon. The CSP activities were conducted on July 7, 2025, with 52 participants aged 10–15 years. The method used in this CSP is an interactive approach. Materials are presented using images and videos to capture attention and make them easy to remember. The videos shown feature teenagers who are caring and passionate about coastal and marine environments. As a result, participants will be motivated to think critically. Participants were divided into groups to demonstrate their concern and commitment through drawings and sentences on paper, which would later be presented. The participants were highly enthusiastic about participating in this CSP and expressed a desire to become environmental agents within their families and communities.
