Abstract

The aim of this research is that hotong seeds can be preserved for a long time so that they can be stored and used for cultivation in the next planting season. This research was conducted at the Tissue Culture Laboratory and Plant Physiology Laboratory at the Faculty of Agriculture, Pattimura University, Ambon, which took place from February to May 2021. Completely randomized design method, two factors, three replications. The first factor was seeds in open space (A0), seeds in aluminum foil (A1), seeds in glass bottles (A2), seeds in clear plastic (A3), and seeds in white cloth (A4). Another factor is the retention time (B) which consists of three stages, namely: 1 month (B1), 2 months (B2), and 3 months (B3) storage. BNJ test and Anova analysis at 95% confidence level. The treatment to maintain the quality of the hotong seeds was the 3rd month storage aluminum foil (A3B3) which could maintain a moisture content of 9.4%, PTM 80.67%, and the growth rate and vigor of hotong seeds at 81%, and the worst treatment in maintaining the quality of viability and vigor. seeds were calico fabric treated in the 3rd month of storage (A1B3).

Abstract

ABSTRAK Gulma merupakan salah satu organisme pengganggu tanaman yang menghambat pertumbuhan, perkembangan dan produktivitas tanaman.. Kehadiran gulma dapat kita jumpai pada semua areal pertanaman.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Negeri Sahulau, Kabupaten Maluku Tengah pada Bulan September sampai November 2023. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis gulma apa saja yang tumbuh dan berkembang serta mendominasi perkebunan karet. Proses pengumpulan data di lapangan dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kuadrat dengan petak sampel berukuran 1 m x 1 m dan diletakan dibawah tegakan tanaman karet. Pengamatan gulma dilakukan secara destruktif yaitu jenis-jenis gulma dalam petak sampel dicabut untuk dihitung individu dan biomasa tiap jenis.Ditemukan 14 jenis gulma di Perkebunan karet dan gulma dominan pada Perkebunan ini adalah Clidemia hirta dengan nilai SDR sebesar 12.94 persen. Kata Kunci : Komunitas Gulma, Gulma dominan, Tanaman Karet

Abstract

The production of lychee seedlings as a source of rootstock in plant propagation techniques by grafting is very rare. Lychee seeds are recalcitrant seeds, so they are prone to deterioration in seed quality after harvest. The longer the storage time of lychee seeds after harvest, the greater the decline in the quality of the lychee seedlings. Landetox Green liquid nutrition is one type of plant nutrition that is specially made to stimulate the vegetative growth of plants. The use of the right level of Landetox Green liquid nutrient concentration has an effect on the growth of quality lychee seedlings. The purpose of this study was to determine the combination of treatment levels of liquid nutrient concentrations of Green Landetox and the appropriate storage time for seeds after harvest to increase the growth of lychee seedlings in the nursery.

Abstract

Environmental and occupational safety issues in the mining business have always been the most important issues. The main problems that arise in ex-mining areas include environmental changes, which include chemical changes, physical changes and biological changes. Waesala Village within the scope of mining management is important and strategic because it has quite large potential for mining materials, especially rock-type minerals to support ever-increasing development. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase the knowledge of the people of Waesala Village in carrying out good environmental management at rock mining sites. This community service activity is carried out through the following stages: preparation, socialization, and activity evaluation. The results obtained from the implementation of this PKM activity are that there has been a very significant change in community knowledge about environmental management in mining areas after the implementation of community service activities.
