Abstract

Permasalahan yang dihadapi perusahaan adalah tingginya total biaya persediaan pada bahan baku pakan ternak kategori mayor dalam penelitian ini bahan baku tersebut diantaranya Jagung Lokal, Wheat Bran Pellet, Biji Batu dan Katul. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan kuantitas pemesanan (lot size) agar diperoleh total biaya yang minimum. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan perencanaan persediaan menggunakan Fixed Period Requirement (FPR) dan Algoritma Wagner-Whitin (AWW) dengan mempertimbangkan kuantitas pemesanan. Langkah awal yang dilakukan ialah peramalan permintaan menggunakan Weighted Moving Average dan Single Exponential Smoothing, kemudian dilakukan perbaikan terhadap manajemen persediaan bahan baku pakan ternak kategori mayor, dengan menentukan safety stock dan reorder point, kuantitas pemesanan optimal, dan total biaya persediaan. Hasil dari penelitian yang dilakukan ialah diperoleh safety stock dan reorder point setiap jenis material untuk mengantisipasi apabila terjadi stock out, serta lot size yang optimal agar tidak terjadi overstock. Hasil yang didapatkan setelah melakukan perhitungan menggunakan FPR adalah sebesar Rp. 68.836.795.791 dan AWW menunjukkan hasil sebesar Rp 3.216.795.791 Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka metode yang menghasilkan total biaya minimum adalah AWW.

Abstract

Balang Caddi Island is one of the islands in the Pangkajene dan Kepulauan Regency where most of the people work as fishermen. Administratively the island is Mattiro Bintang Subdistrict, Liukang Tuppabiring District. The island is a remote area that often receives less attention. The electrical energy crisis experienced by the people of this island needs to address as soon as possible. With this community service, we are implementing new renewable energy solar cells for lighting residents on Balang Caddi Island. This Solar Cell application will be placed in one of the residents house as a pilot project for the application of new and renewable energy. The community will also receive training on how to maintain the tool so that the community will independently maintain the sustainability of the program in the future. A 100 wp Solar Cell with a 216 Wh battery is installed to power 2 pieces of 7 watt lamps, 2 pieces of 9 watt lamps, 30 watt fan and 50 watt TV. The lamp is operated at night for 6 hours with a total power consumption of 192 watts. Fans and TVs are operated during the daytime only by utilizing direct solar energy converted from the DC current of the solar cell to the AC current using a 300 watt inverter. On a daily basis, benefits are obtained in the form of free electricity of 300-400 watts per day to meet the needs of the residents of Balang Caddi island. This activity have succeeded in transforming the residents Balang Caddi island. This can be seen from the results of the Pre-test and Post-test which showed an increase in knowledge from really don't know 26.4% to very knowledgeable 83.3%, an increase in skills from really don't know 87.5% to very capable 94.6% and an increase in attitude from really don't know 20% to really know 100%.

Abstract

Desa Mammi merupakan salah satu desa di kecamatan Wonomulyo kabupaten Polewali Mandar, provinsi Sulawesi Barat dengan pemukiman yang padat serta mayoritas penduduknya adalah petani dan peternak. Hampir setiap halaman rumah penduduk sekitar di tanami berbagai jenis tanaman dan sayuran. Sayangnya di dalam budidaya jenis tanaman tersebut, masyarakat setempat hanya mengandalkan pupuk kandang, mereka tidak mengetahui alternatif pupuk lainnya yang juga mudah dibuat dengan penambahan bioaktivator mikroba dan bahan-bahannya merupakan limbah organik rumah tangga yang mereka biasa buang begitu saja hingga menimbulkan masalah lingkungan. Program edukasi ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat Desa Bumimulyo agar terstimulus dalam membuat pupuk organik berbasis mikroba secara mandiri sehingga dicapai pula tujuan tereduksinya jumlah buangan limbah rumah tangga melalui pemanfaatannya menjadi biofertilizer yang ramah lingkungan. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan adalah sosialisasi rancangan kegiatan, pelatihan/edukasi, monitoring, dan evaluasi untuk menunjang keberlanjutan program ini terus diterapkan oleh masyarakat Desa Mammi. Hasil evaluasi kegiatan menunjukkan angka keefektifan kegiatan sebesar 94%. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa program edukasi ini sesuai dengan kebutuhan masyarakat dan menjadi keterampilan baru masyarakat desa Mammi dalam mengonversi limbah organik rumah tangga menjadi pupuk berbasis mikroba.

Abstract

Renewable energy is energy that comes from renewable energy sources. Renewable energy sources are energy sources that can be used indefinitely and will never run out because they can be recovered in a relatively short time, including geothermal, wind, bioenergy, sunlight, water flows and waterfalls, as well as movements and temperature differences in ocean layers.” Solar panels are the main equipment in a solar power generation system which functions to convert sunlight energy into electrical energy directly. Nowadays, human dependence on energy concerns almost all aspects of life. Energy reserves originating from fossil fuels throughout the world are estimated to only be up to 40 years for petroleum, 60 years for natural gas, and 200 years for coal. The condition of limited energy sources in the midst of increasing world energy needs from year to year (energy consumption growth in 2004 alone was 4.3 percent), as well as to protect the earth from global warming and environmental pollution makes the demand for immediate realization of new technology for renewable energy sources. Therefore, the Community Service Team of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University held community service at the LE CENDEKIA Nature School on December 14 2023. The aim of this service is to increase understanding regarding renewable energy and carry out simple applications of renewable energy for students. The method of implementing the service is by interview on the importance of renewable energy and training in solar power assembly. There were 25 socialization and training participants. Community service results show an increase in understanding of the importance of renewable energy from 20% to 50%, and knowledge about solar power assembly from 5% to 45%.
