Abstract

One of the efforts to prevent the transmission of Covid 19 is washing hands. Washing hands is one of the sanitation efforts by cleaning hands and fingers using water and soap or handrub by humans to be clean and break the chain of germs. Hands are often the agents that carry germs and cause pathogens to pass from one person to another, either by direct contact or indirect contact. Therefore, seeing the urgency of washing hands in an effort to prevent the transmission of Covid 19, we provide assistance to implement hand washing in public facilities where contact between humans often occurs. The service was carried out on October 3, 2020 at the Balang-Balang market, Borong Loe Village, Bonto Marannu District, Gowa Regency. The head of the Borong loe village received hand washing machine assistance. In addition to hand washing machine assistance, information is also displayed regarding proper hand washing steps and information about the spread of covid 19

Abstract

Porang is a tuber plant with the Latin name Amorphophallus Muelleri. In some areas of South Sulawesi, this plant is known as Tire. Porang belong to the family Araceae, which is a type of tuber plant that is able to live in various types and soil conditions. Porang plants do not have to get direct sunlight so these plants are easy to find on the sidelines of forest plants, plantations or populated land. The main problem faced by the community of bonti village is that They cannot process porang into flour due to lack of flouring machine and does not have human resources that can operate machines / make flour porang. Based on this problems, We do a community service by applying science and technology in bonti village in the form of technology machines that can turn porang into flour. The flouring mechine used is an FFC-15 type with 3 filters driven by a YC90S-4 Single-phase electric motor of 0.75 kW 1 HP with a maximum rotation of 1400 rpm. The machine and electric motor are connected by a v-belt and pulley on both shafts. The result obtained is an increase in the ability to produce flour reaching 80-100kg per hour according to the level of dryness of people's chips. The economic impact felt by partners is the occurrence of savings in production when using electric motors. Per hour of operation of an electric motor only requires around Rp.1,500 which saves up to 80% compared to the use of gasoline or diesel engines.

Abstract

Balang Caddi Island is one of the islands in the Pangkajene dan Kepulauan Regency where most of the people work as fishermen. Administratively the island is Mattiro Bintang Subdistrict, Liukang Tuppabiring District. The island is a remote area that often receives less attention. The electrical energy crisis experienced by the people of this island needs to address as soon as possible. With this community service, we are implementing new renewable energy solar cells for lighting residents on Balang Caddi Island. This Solar Cell application will be placed in one of the residents house as a pilot project for the application of new and renewable energy. The community will also receive training on how to maintain the tool so that the community will independently maintain the sustainability of the program in the future. A 100 wp Solar Cell with a 216 Wh battery is installed to power 2 pieces of 7 watt lamps, 2 pieces of 9 watt lamps, 30 watt fan and 50 watt TV. The lamp is operated at night for 6 hours with a total power consumption of 192 watts. Fans and TVs are operated during the daytime only by utilizing direct solar energy converted from the DC current of the solar cell to the AC current using a 300 watt inverter. On a daily basis, benefits are obtained in the form of free electricity of 300-400 watts per day to meet the needs of the residents of Balang Caddi island. This activity have succeeded in transforming the residents Balang Caddi island. This can be seen from the results of the Pre-test and Post-test which showed an increase in knowledge from really don't know 26.4% to very knowledgeable 83.3%, an increase in skills from really don't know 87.5% to very capable 94.6% and an increase in attitude from really don't know 20% to really know 100%.

Abstract

Serat karbon adalah salah satu bagian dari sebuah material komposit. Dimana dalam suatu material yang dibuat dari dua atau lebih material penyusun yang saling memiliki perbedaan sifat fisik dan komposisi kimia, yang jika dikombinasikan akan menghasilkan material berkarakteristik berbeda dengan material-material penyusunnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari variasi pemakanan feed rate dan kecepatan spindel dalam pengeboran material CFRP menggunakan endmill terhadap sirkularitas hasil pelubangan material CFRP. Metode yang digunakan adalah berdasarkan hasil sirkularitas yang didapatkan hasilnya akan di uji dengan metode ANOVA sehingga dari kontribusi hasil pengujian ANOVA tersebut akan kelihatan yang paling berpengaruh. Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat memberitahukan bahwa dari berbagai variasi pemakanan dan kecepatan spindel yang diberikan, mana yang paling berpengaruh dalam proses pelubangan material CFRP. Analysis of the Effect of CNC Machining Process Using a Two flute Endmill on Circularity in Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer Composite Materials. Carbon fiber is one part of a composite material a material made of two or more constituent materials with different physical properties and chemical composition, which when combined will produce a material with different characteristics from the constituent materials. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the variation of feed rate and spindle speed in drilling CFRP material using an endmill on the circularity of the perforated CFRP material. The method used is based on the circularity results obtained. The results will be tested with the ANOVA method so that the ANOVA test results' contribution will appear to be the most influential. The results of this study can tell that from the various infeed variations and spindle speeds given, which one has the most influence in the CFRP material perforation process. Abstract

Sejalan dengan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, suatu hasil produksi harus di imbangi dengan peningkatan kualitas hasil produksi, khususnya pada proses permesinan. Aluminium 6061 adalah paduan aluminium yang mengandung magnesium, silikon dan banyak digunakan pada komponen pesawat dan otomotif dimana dibutuhkan tingkat kekasaran yang rendah. Kekasaran sangat bergantung dari jenis pahat dan geometri pahat. Pada penelitian ini digunakan pahat HSS (High Speed Steel) dengan variasi pemotongan yaitu: variasi sudut potong (Kr) dipilih 65o, 75o, 85o dan 90o, putaran spindel (n) 200 rpm, 400 rpm, 600 rpm, pemakanan (f) 0.15 mm/put; 0,17 mm/put; 0.3 mm/put dan kedalaman pemakanan (a) 1 mm. Setelah dilakukan pembubutan setiap satu set variabel permesinan dilakukan pengukuran kekasaran dengan menggunakan mesin Laser 3D Measuring Laser Microscope OLS4100. Data pengukuran yang diperoleh digrafikkan dengan hubungan varibel permesinan dengan kekasaran dan untuk memperoleh kondisi optimal dilakukan analisis dengan menggunakan Metode Taguchi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kualitas pembubutan Aluminium 6061 terhadap perubahan sudut potong pahat. Dari hasil analisis didapatkan Sudut potong (Kr) yang paling optimal adalah 65° dengan nilai kekasaran 0,341 µm. Kata Kunci : Proses Permesinan, Bubut, Aluminium 6061, Pahat HSS, Geometri Pahat.

Abstract

This research to determine the effect of the tensile load on the carburizing process and the heating temperature lower than the normal carburizing temperature on the hardness of carbon steel with a percentage of 80% buffalo bone charcoal and 20% BaCO3, 20 mesh grain size, 4 hours holding time, and slow cooling with a tensile load of 1/4σp 1/2σp 3/4σp, and σp (proportional stress). The heating temperatures below normal carburizing temperatures, namely 6000C, 6500C, 7000C, and 7500C while being pulled by 1/4σp, 1/2σp, 3/4σp, and σp. After reaching the heating temperature, the material is held in the furnace for 4 hours and cooled slowly. After the material is cold, mechanical testing is carried out with Vickers microhardness. Hardness value at a temperature of 6000C is 103.93 HRB, at a temperature of 6500C is 104.33 HRB, at a temperature of 7000C is 104.80 HRB, and at a temperature of 7500C is 106.60 HRB, while the process of pack carburizing without tensile at a heating temperature of 8000C is 105.2 HRB. This proves that the application of loads at lower heating temperatures during the heating process can exceed the hardness value without tensile loads at higher temperatures of 8000 C.

Abstract

Likuifaksi adalah suatu fenomena kehilangan kekuatan geser tanah pada lapisan jenuh air akibat gempa bumi, sehingga tanah mengalami keruntuhan  dan berperilaku seperti (liquid). Likuifaksi umumnya terjadi pada tanah non kohesif (glanuler) jenuh air dan menerima beban siklik berupa gempa. Dalam penelitian ini, simulasi getaran yang mengakibatkan liquifaksi menggunakan alat bantu berupa shaking table dengan mekanisme gerak hidrolik, sinyal input yang diberikan berupa sinyal sinusoidal dengan variasi tekanan oli hidrolik 0 bar, 6,25 bar, 12,5 bar, 18,75 bar, 25 bar, 31,25 bar,37,5 bar, 43,75 bar dan 50 bar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Semakin kecil nilai tekanan bar oli hidrolik yang diberikan maka akan semakin kecil juga nilai MR yang didapat. Ini dikarenakan daya dorong yang diberikan tekanan bar berpengaruh kegerak lengan piston hidrolik, semankin tinggi tekanan hidrolik yang diberikan maka akan semakin cepat gerak lengan piston hidrolik, dan semakin cepat gerak lengan piston hidrolik maka semakin besar juga nilai percepatan terhadap sumbu x dan sumbu y. Dan Inputan sinyal sinusoidal yang bisa digunakan untuk eksperimen potensial liquifaksi yaitu sebesar 6,25 bar, 12,5 bar, 18,75 bar, 25 bar, 31,25 bar, 37,5 bar, 43,75 bar, dan 50 bar. Dikarenakan nilai yang dihasilkan variasi tekanan oli hidrolik tersebut masuk range syarat terjadi liquifaksi yaitu sebesar 5 – 7 SK.

Abstract

Turungan Bontojai Village is one of the areas in Pangkajene and Kepulauan Regency (Pangkep) where the majority of the people work as fish farmers or shrimp farmers. Administratively, this area is Sibatua Village, Pangkajene District. This village is an area close to the sea where infrastructure does not receive much attention, especially the electricity network. The electrical energy crisis experienced by the people of this village area needs a solution. In this community service activity, renewable energy from solar cells have been planned and applied to light the residents' ponds in Turungan Bontojaidengan Village. Lighting application with solar panels that will be placed in one of the residents' ponds as a pilot project for the application of the renewable energy. The community also received training on how to care for the equipment so that the community could independently maintain the sustainability of the program in the future. A 100 wp solar cell with a 432 Wh battery is installed to power 4 unit 7 watt light bulb with an additional DC to AC inverter which can be used to power other electronic equipment. The lights are operated at night for 12 hours with a total power consumption of 336 watts per day. Electronic devices are operated during the day by utilizing direct solar energy which is converted from DC current from solar cells to AC current using a 300 watt inverter. On a daily basis, benefits are obtained in the form of free electricity of 400 watts per day to meet the pond needs of the residents of Turungan Bontojai village. This activity has succeeded in increasing citizens' understanding as seen from the results of data processing with SPSS in the Pre-test and Post-test which shows an increase in understanding with a Mean value of 5.35 (pre-test) to 14.55 (post-test). The success of the activity was measured by a questionnaire on participant satisfaction with the community service activities carried out and the results showed that 90% were satisfied with the implementation of the activity.

Abstract

Pada tulisan ini, penerapan CNC laser cutting dalam pemotongan memiliki beberapa kriteria hasil potong yang perlu di identifikasi. Pemotongan dengan menggunakan CNC laser cutting adalah metode nonkonvensional dengan menggunakan perangkat komputer sebagai alat untuk menjalankan perintah numerik dengan koneksi usb pada mesin. Sehingga, dapat melakukan pemotongan sesuai dengan pola CAD yang telah dibuat. Hasil potong yang diidentifikasi pada material kain tekstil ini yaitu pengaruh kecepatan 100 mm/min, 150/mm/min, dan 200 mm/min, dan penggunaan daya laser yaitu 2.5, 3.5, 4.5, 5.5 watt terhadap kerf width (mm), SLL (mm), dan Diameter Circle (mm), serta MRR (mm) pada jarak laser head 60 mm. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan semakin kecil penggunaan daya dan semakin tinggi tingkat kecepatan pemotongan akan menghasilkan kerf width yang lebih kecil. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa faktor interaksi kecepatan pemakanan dan penggunaan daya merupakan parameter yang paling berpengaruh terhadap hasil pemotongan bahan kain dengan jarak fokus laser 60 mm.
