Abstract

Artikel ini ditulis dengan tiga tujuan utama. Tujuan pertama adalah untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai hubungan antara konsep diri terhadap gaya hidup cinta produk makanan dalam negeri. Tujuan kedua, mengkaji informasi hubungan antara  pengetahuan atas produk dalam negeri. Tujuan ketiga adalah untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai keterkaitan konsep diri dan pengetahuan yang dimiliki generasi muda Indonesia untuk membentuk gaya hidup cinta produk makanan dalam negeri melalui sikap. Studi dilakukan berdasarkan kajian literatur. Terdapat hubungan antara konsep diri, pengetahuan produk baik secara langsung dengan gaya hidup cinta produk makanan dalam negeri maupun hubungan tidak langsung melalui sikap terhadap gaya hidup cinta produk makanan dalam negeri. Implikasinya adalah untuk membangun gaya hidup cinta produk dalam negeri, yang harus diutamakan adalah membangun konsep diri, peningkatan pengetahuan bahwa produk dalam negeri adalah berkualitas baik, keren dan tidak murahan, serta membentuk sikap generasi muda untuk cinta produk dalam negeri. Baik konsep diri, pengetahuan produk dan sikap secara bersamaan mempengaruhi faktor-faktor gaya hidup cinta produk dalam negeri secara berturut-turut adalah kelas referensi, kemudian pada minat dan kegiatan konsumsi produk dalam negeri. Rekayasa sosial terkait gaya hidup cinta produk dalam negeri yang dapat dilakukan adalah membuat kelas sosial yang menjadi referensi gaya hidup di kalangan generasi muda untuk memiliki gaya hidup “cinta produk dalam negeri”. Upaya berikutnya adalah menumbuhkembangkan minat untuk cinta produk dalam negeri serta membujuk generasi muda untuk senantiasa melakukan konsumsi atas produk dalam negeri di kalangan generasi muda.

Abstract

Korupsi adalah bahaya laten yang patut diwaspadai perkembangannya dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat, utamanya di Indonesia. Sedini mungkin warga Indonesia patutnya dibekali dengan pengenalan akan jenis dan bahaya dari korupsi itu sendiri. Sekolah sebagai salah satu instansi formal Pendidikan wajib menyelenggarakan Pendidikan Antikorupsi bagi siswanya agar dapat memutus mata rantai perkembangan korupsi di dalam kehidupan masyarakat. Hal inilah yang menjadi dasar Tim PkM Dosen IBI-K57 untuk melaksanakan kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat yang berjudul “Sosialisasi dan Pengenalan Pendidikan Antikorupsi di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Perguruan Rakyat”. Metode yang digunakan dalam Program Pengabdian Masyarakat adalah metode pengukuran kemampuan pemahaman materi Pendidikan Antikorupsi sebelum dan sesudah penyampaian materi dan metode student active learning yaitu penekanan kepada proses keterlibatan pelajar secara penuh sehingga mendorong pelajar dapat menerapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari baik di lingkungan sekolah, keluarga dan dimasyarakat. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai uji sesudah penyampaian materi Pendidikan Antikorupsi yang artinya mereka dapat memahami materi yang disampaikan oleh para narasumber mengenai Pendidikan Antikorupsi.

Abstract

Pembukuan keuangan dan pengadministrasian mutlak diperlukan baik untuk organisasi berorientasi profit (perusahaan) maupun organisasi non profit (nirlaba). Bagi siswa-siswi SLTA dan mahasiswa di kecamatan Jagakarsa dan sekitarnya dalam rangka memudahkan pengorganisasian, pencatatan keuangan dan pengadministrasian maka pihak Institut Bisnis dan Informatika Kosgoro 1957 menyelenggarakan Pelatihan Pembukuan Sederhana untuk mereka sekaligus diberikan pelatihan cara-cara membuat surat lamaran kerja untuk perusahaan internasional. Pelatihan diberikan oleh para dosen-dosen Institut Bisnis dan Informatika Kosgoro 1957 ditambah masukan dari pihak stakeholder (perusahaan internasional) serta alumni Institut Bisnis dan Informatika Kosgoro 1957 yang telah bekerja dan sukses. Juga diberikan masukan/amanah dari anggota DPR-RI Komisi X.

Abstract

Students often have difficulty in formulating questions that generate specific and definite answers. They lack proficiency in understanding and applying the grammatical structures and syntax required to form questions appropriately. This study aims to improve students' ability to formulate questions through the application of the Definitional Question Answering (DQA) learning method, where questions are designed to produce specific and definite answers. In this study, the experimental method was used to evaluate changes in students' abilities. The research sample consisted of 101 students majoring in management at the Faculty of Economics, Kosgoro Institute of Business and Informatics 1957 (IBIK 57). After intervention with the DQA program, a post-test was administered to assess the effectiveness of the program and students' progress. This study used an experimental design with a pre-test and post-test to evaluate the changes in students' abilities before and after the application of the DQA method. Before the application of the DQA method, all students took an initial test to measure their ability to formulate questions, comprehension of sentence elements, analytical ability, communication, and text comprehension. Thus, this study aims to contribute to improving students' skills in forming effective questions and deepening their understanding of the subject matter. The result is that the intervention or learning method that has been applied between the pre-test and post-test is effective in improving participants' performance

Abstract

The aim of this study is to identify the types of errors in subject-verb agreement. The basic mistakes made by students in subject-verb agreements are a lack of knowledge about sentence patterns and their types. The study applied a qualitative descriptive method. The study is to describe and classify the errors made by the students and identify which parts of the subject-verb agreement have the most errors. The data collection technique of this study is by collecting the results of a worksheet assessment on subject-verb agreement given to 89 students. The data is analyzed by investigating what types of errors the students make and what factors often occur in subject-verb agreement. The results of this indicate that there are errors made by students including: singular subject must agree with a singular verb as well as a plural subject must agree with a plural verb, errors in a compound subject, errors in using the verb of the form have, and errors in be verb. The study implies that grammar and sentence construction, particularly subject-verb agreements, are basic chapters that must be trained continuously and become an important fundamental goal before students learn other things in English.

Abstract

Maintaining etiquette in speech acts is a part of politeness strategies conducted in communication. This study aimed to describe the use of politeness strategies and the influence factors found in the political talk show of Mata Najwa. The research method employed a descriptive qualitative one as proposed by Brown and Levinson’s four politeness strategies. Face is indicated as an inherently political element in the theory of Goffman. The data is a dialogue transcription taken from Mata Najwa YouTube.on 18 October 2023. The techniques of collecting data were documentation by watching, listening, transcribing, reviewing the transcription, and selecting the speakers’ utterances. The data analysis involved identifying, and classifying utterances based on politeness strategies, analyzing frequency, interpreting the data, and drawing conclusions. The analysis of 193 utterances showed that 114 of them had positive politeness strategy data (59%), 34 had bald-on politeness strategy data (17,6%), 24 had negative politeness strategy data (12,4%), and 21 had off-record politeness strategy data (17,6%). The positive politeness method is the most commonly employed tactic. It suggests that the inclination toward familiarity between speakers and listeners as well as the sentiment to reveal people's individuality by lowering FTA in each phrase is generated by particular factors. That becomes a point for speakers to build and maintain relationships.

Abstract

In Indonesian education, English as an Introductory Language (EMI) is gaining recognition as an approach that uses English as the main language of instruction in schools and universities. EMI is designed to help students improve their English language skills while studying various subjects. This approach has been favored in countries where English is not the mother tongue, offering many advantages, such as preparing students for global communication, improving access to English academic resources, and increasing the competitiveness of educational institutions. However, EMI also provides challenges related to teachers' skills, pedagogical knowledge, and the effectiveness of EMI learning strategies. This study aims to explore the perspectives of 37 educators in Jakarta through descriptive qualitative research on EMI. The educators strongly believe that EMI is an efficient tool to improve student's English proficiency and their understanding of the subject matter. To support the implementation of EMI, this study recommends additional training in EMI, fostering collaboration between experienced and new teachers, and implementing innovative teaching methods. The study concluded that the successful implementation of EMI in the Indonesian educational context depends on the collective commitment of educators, students, educational institutions, and authorities. Continuous support, evaluation, and emotional support for educators and learners are crucial to ensure the effectiveness of EMI in a better education landscape.

Abstract

Perdagangan internasional diartikan sebagai sejumlah transaksi perdagangan/jual beli diantara pembeli dan penjual pada suatu pasar, demi mencapai keuntungan yang maksimal bagi kedua belah pihak yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Perdagangan tersebut terjadi karena tidak ada negara yang mampu memenuhi kebutuhannya sendiri. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini pelaksanaannya bekerja sama dengan Pusat Pendidikan Export dan Jasa Perdagangan Kementerian Perdagangan Republik Indonesia. Dengan melakukan pelatihan bisnis online ekspor peserta dalam hal ini dosen dan mahasiswa IBI Kosgoro 1957 memiliki tambahan pengetahuan terkait bagaimana memulai ekspor yang dapat dilakukan secara perorangan.

Abstract

The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has led to sweeping changes and disruptions in nearly every aspect of daily life. Covid-19 outbreak has a big economic impact changes, particularly from the middle to lower class society, because the economy is in decline and there are also many layoffs for employees in companies/factories. Many street vendors cannot sell normally due to the coronavirus as well., traditional motorcycle drivers, online motorcycle, taxi services cannot operate as usual due to PSBB regulations and decreased service orders due to social distancing. Many people still do not comply with government restrictions because they are forced to do so to meet their daily needs. Due to the above mentioned facts and in addition to boosting social connection and empathizing with others, some lecturers from IBI K57 worked together with KSD (Komunitas Sedakah Depok) GDC have shared breakfast packages to people in need such as garbage men, ojek drivers, scavengers, etc. This social activity The implementation of this social activity is carried out by prioritizing Covid-19 health procedures and protocols. The authors hope that this activity can be an inspiration for colleagues, students, and all communities that the awareness to share with others is the responsibility of all of us.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif yang tujuannya untuk mengetahui dampak kecerdasan emosional dan modal intelektual terhadap produktivitas belajar online pada masa pandemi Covid-19 mahasiswa IBI-K57. Metode penentuan sampel adalah proportionate stratified sampling dan rumus Slovin untuk menentukan jumlah sampel/responden. Berdasarkan output rumus Slovin, jumlah sampel sebanyak 95 responden dari populasi sebanyak 2.080. Berdasarkan output pengolahan data dengan menggunakan SmartPLS mengungkapkan bahwa kecerdasan emosional berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap produktivitas belajar pada masa pandemi Covid-19 mahasiswa IBI-K57. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin baik kecerdasan emosional semakin tinggi produktivitas belajar mahasiswa IBI-K57; koefisien parameter jalur pengaruh modal intelektual terhadap produktivitas belajar mengindikasikan bahwa modal intelektual berpengaruh positif namun tidak signifikan terhadap produktivitas belajar di masa pandemi Covid-19 mahasiswa IBI-K57. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa modal intelektual memiliki pengaruh positif tetapi tidak berdampak terhadap produktivitas belajar di masa pandemi Covid-19 mahasiswa IBI-K57. Dengan kata lain, modal intelektual tidak memberikan pengaruh berarti terhadap produktivitas belajar di masa pandemi Covid-19 mahasiswa IBI-K57.
