Abstract

Introduction: Many studies have proposed that pre-pregnancy body mass index and higher gestationalweight gain (GWG) during pregnancy are risk factors for preeclampsia incidence. However, most of thosestudies give attention to total GWG during pregnancy to the risk of preeclampsia, not in a specific trimester.Aim: To examine whether abnormal gestational weight gain in the second and third trimester correlated withthe incidence of preeclampsiaMethods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in a public health centre, in Surabaya, Indonesia,between October 2018 and October 2019. The samples were 63 pregnant women in the second and thirdtrimester. The variable observed was gestational weight gain (GWG) each week during the second and thirdtrimester compared to their pre-pregnancy body mass index (BMI) using the Institute of Medicine (IOM)standards and preeclampsia incidence. Statistical analysis used was Fisher’s Exact Test and Chi-Square Testwith a significance level of 5%.Results: There were 11 and 52 samples in the second and third trimester, respectively. Abnormal weightgain was recorded in 54% of samples in the second trimester and 57% of the preeclampsia third-trimestersamples. Moreover, preeclampsia was diagnosed in 83.3% and 60% samples with abnormal weight gain inthe second trimester and third trimester. Statistical analysis showed abnormal weight gain in the second andthird trimester related to preeclampsia with P-values 0.015 and 0.0001.Conclusion: Abnormal gestational weight gain in the second and third trimester was correlated topreeclampsia.

Abstract

Critical thinking can be surely taught and practiced for all educational graders. However, in educational field, it is still few teachers who facilitate students’ mathematics critical thinking. The aims of this study is to know whether the implementation of practical learning method significantly affects students’ mathematics critical thinking skills in learning mathematic at junior high school. The significances of the study are to give students’ active role in learning process, to improve students’ comprehension towards mathematic concept, and to upgrade students’ mathematics critical thinking. This research method is experiment method with design path analysis. The population was taken from all eighth graders which are 265 students of SMP N 3 Sumber period 2014/2015. The, the random sampling was used to gain 44 students of VIII E grade. The technique of data collection including questionnaire and essay test was used. The results of questionnaire showed that 25 or 57 % students gave responses very positively toward the implementation of practical learning method. Then, 19 or 43% students gave positive response toward the implementation of practical learning method. The result of t-test showed that there is a linier relationship between practical learning method and mathematics critical thinking with  = 1,341 X. Coefficient with positive response means that there is a significant relationship between practical learning method and mathematics critical thinking by implementing practical learning methods very often may improve students’ mathematics critical thinking. According to the result of t-test, it is showed that taccount = 6,509 > ttabel = 2,020. It can be concluded that the implementation of practical learning method significantly affect students’ mathematics critical thinking at VIII E grade of SMP Negeri 3 Sumber Kabupaten Cirebon.Keywords : Practical Learning Methods, Critical Thinking Skills

Abstract

Uang merupakan alat transaksi yang digunakan oleh sebagian besar masyarakat dunia, untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari. Bagi sebagian orang, melakukan kegiatan jual beli dengan menggunakan uang sangatlah mudah. Namun tidak dapat dipungkiri bahwa ada sebagian kecil dari masyarakat yang mempunyai kekurangan dalam penglihatan. Kekurangan dalam penglihatan membuat penderitanya lebih mengandalkan indra pendengaran dan perasa, sehingga penyandang Tunanetra mengalami kesulitan dalam mengenali uang. Tulisan ini membahas tentang alat bantu bagi Tunanetra yang dapat membedakan uang kertas berdasarkan warna RGB dengan menggunakan sensor TCS3200 dan memanfaatkan neural network sebagai pola pengenalan dan pembelajaran warna. Dari uji coba, nilai optimum untuk pembelajaran dengan nilai eror terkecil yaitu nilai learning rate 0.8 dan jumlah node masing-masing pada hidden layer 1 dan hidden layer 2 sebanyak 5 node. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah alat yang dapat digunakan Tunanetra dalam membedakan uang kertas, dengan tingkat keberhasilan 100% untuk uang Rp 20.000 dan Rp 100.000, 93% untuk uang Rp 50.000.

Abstract

Anxiety of memorizing the Surah of Qur'an is response of the body such as feelings of pressure, fear, stress due to activity in memorizing the Surah of Qur'an which is characterized by certain feelings and symptoms that arise. As a result, students have difficulty in memorizing practices, resulting in suboptimal memorization. One solution to overcome this problem is have confidence in yourself be able organize and carry out all actions in order to achieve certain academic goals or called self-efficacy. This study aims determine the relationship between self efficacy and anxiety of memorizing the Surah of Qur'an. This study is a correlational quantitative study with the student population of State Madrasah Aliyah X amounting 940 students. Sampling using simple random samplingtechniques was obtained by 269 students. The data collection method uses self-efficacy scale made by researchers and academic anxiety scale of memorizing the results of adaptation (Lailatul Fiqriyah, 2020). Data analysis uses correlational person product moment correlation techniques to test the relationship between two variables. The results showed value (r) of -0.706 with p = 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that there was a significant negative relationship betwen self efficacy and anxiety of practice of memorizing the Qur'an surah in MAN students in qur'an and hadith lessons. The level anxiety of practice of memorization and self efficacy is in the moderate category. It is recommended for MAN students, one solution to be able reduce anxiety in practice of memorizing the Surah of Qur'an is to increase self-efficacy possessed.
