Abstract

Saat ini, kompetensi dijadikan sebagai dasar untuk penilaian kinerja perawat di seluruh dunia, sehingga pada tahun 2015 telah dirancang sistem penilaian kinerja yang disusun berdasarkan kompetensi perawat gawat darurat. Namun, perlu dilakukan peninjauan kembali mengenai kevaliditasan sistem penilaian kinerja tersebut. Penelitian kuantitatif ini menggunakan rancangan pre and post-experimental, yang bertujuan memvalidasi rancangan penilaian kinerja berdasarkan kompetensi perawat gawat darurat yang telah dibuat pada tahun pertama. Populasidari RSU Bina Kasih, RSU Malahayati, RSU Martha Friska, RSU Permata Bunda, RSU Sari Mutiara, RSU Deli Medan, dan RSU Imelda ada 63 orang berdasarkan purposive sampling. Penelitian dilakukan dari bulan Januarisampai Oktober 2016. Hasil uji Kolmogorov-Smirnov, sebaran data tidak normal (sig. Sebelum=0,003 <α=0,05 dan Sig. Sesudah = 0,002<α = 0,05). Hasil uji wilcoxon, tidak ada perbedaan antara nilai rangking sebelum dan sesudah diaplikasikannya sistem penilaian kinerja (p=0,959). Oleh karena itu, sistem penilaian kinerja berdasarkan kompetensi perawat gawat darurat di RSU swasta se-Kota Medan dinyatakan valid.

Abstract

Differences between employees’ blood pressure before and after exposure to heat in The Bottling Process area at PT Sinar Sosro Deli Serdang 2013. Blood pressure can be affected by several factors, especially in the work site that is most affected by the heat factor. Measurement of blood pressure in the work site has benefit to prevent the workers in getting some health problems, such as dehydration, hypertension and other disorders. This research is a kind of pre-experimental research with One Group Pretest Posttest approach. It aims to reveal the differences of employees’ blood pressure before and after exposure to heat in The Bottling Process area at PT Sinar Sosro Deli Serdang in 2013. The sample in this research were 20 men who are all employees (total sampling) of the bottling process area which work from 08:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at PT Sinar Sosro Deli Serdang. Data were collected by measuring the employees’ blood pressure and will be analyzed by using paired t-test statistics. The results showed that there was no significant differences between the employees’ systolic blood pressure after exposure to heat in The Bottling Process at PT Sinar Sosro with sig value 0.246 (p> 0,05). It also found in diastolic blood pressure. There was no significant differences between employees’ diastolic blood pressure after exposure to heat in The Bottling Process at PT Sinar Sosro with sig value 0.606 (p> 0,05). PT Sinar Sosro is expected to enhance their efforts in controlling the workplace’s heat. The prevention can be done by adding ventilations and local exhauster, provosioning rest area, water consumption system or administrative treat (job rotation). Abstract

An accident in the working place can be avoided by knowing and recognizing the various potential hazards that exist in the working environment. The most popular and most commonly used analysis method of the potential hazards in the working place is Job Safety Analysis (JSA). Job Safety Analysis (JSA) is a method of analysis towards potential hazards in working place by analizing working system and working procedure as well as human as the workers. This research is a descriptive survey that illustrated the safety analysis process using the Job Safety Analisys (JSA) with the aim to figure out the process that has the highest potential hazards. The object in this study is the coal chain process which consists of coal getting, coal crushing, coal hauling, and coal barging at PT Mifa Bersaudara mining in 2014. The research shows that coal barging is the most hazardous process of coal chain process. High level potential hazards exist as falling from altitude when climbing the ship body, stinged by high voltage electricity when turning on crusher machine, sabotage by villagers who block hauling road and the falling of bucket excavator to the hoper crusher. Researcher suggests to the management of PT Mifa Bersaudara mining to keep increasing the work safety and healthy by controlling various potential hazard in each process especially the coal chain. Abstract

ABSTRACT Work accidents are mostly caused by unsafe behavior. Behavior Based Safety Program plays an important role to create zero accidents. The implementation of behavior-based safety program is focused to observe the behavior of a process to improve safe work behavior. This study used a descriptive research with cross sectional design approach which aimed to describe the application of behavior-based safety program and work accidents in PT. Inalum Kuala Tanjung year 2013-2014. The samples of this research were all employees which injured in PT.Inalum Kuala Tanjung year 2013 and 2014. The available data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the accident happened in 2013 mostly happened in the reduction factory as much as 2 times (40 %) and in 2014 mostly happened in the maintenance as much as 3 times (50%). Work accidents which occurred in 2013 and 2014 mostly caused by unsafe behavior. The application of behavior-based safety program is still new and needs to run a sustainable improvement especially inform improvements of Inalum Secure Card (ISC). The result of the evaluation Inalum Secure Card (IKA) conducted by safety promoter at each department or section each month. But not all safety promoter reported the result of the evaluation Inalum Secure Card (IKA) to section Inalum Internal Control (IIC). The application of Inalum Secure Card (IKA) have not given rewards and sanctions to the workers. Based on the results of the study, PT.Inalum Kuala Tanjung is expected to improve communication about Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), especially regarding the behavior-based safety program so that the workers could care and aware to behave a safety work to create Occupational Safety and Health (OHS) culture.

Abstract

Good implementation of SMK3 is closely related to the rate of work accident, but work accidents still occur in some companies in Indonesia although they have implemented SMK3. PKS (Oil Palm Plant) Kebun Rambutan also underwent work accident although it implemented SMK3. There were 20 cases of mild work accident in 2014, 14 cases of mild work accident in 2015, 23 cases of work accidents in 2015 (2 of them were serious work accidents). The objective of this research was to find out the implementation of SMK3 and its implication on the incidence of work accident.The research used qualitative method which was aimed to find out clearly and deeply the implementation of SMK3 and its implication on the incidence of work accident. The research informants were the management of P2K3. The data were analyzed in three processes: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion.The result of the research showed that the obstacles of implementing SMK3 which had the implication on work accident were as follows: the management did not carry out SMK3 properly since the implementation of K3 was not in target, lack of supervision, evaluation on each activity was not optimally done, and employees’ unsafe attitude/action such as working without complying with SOP and without using Personal Protective Devices during their working in the field. The conclusion of the research was that in the implementation of SMK3 at the PKS Kebun Rambutan, including the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of its performance were bad. Keywords: Implementation, Evaliation Of SMK3, Work Accident, Tebing Tinggi, 2017.      Penerapan SMK3 yang terlaksana dengan baik akan berkorelasi dengan berkurangnya angka kecelakaan kerja, namun di beberapa perusahaan di Indonesia kecelakaan kerja masih terjadi meskipun perusahaan telah menerapkan SMK3, begitupun dengan PKS Kebun Rambutan selama penerapan SMK3 juga masih terjadi kecelakaan kerja, pada tahun 2014 terdapat 20 kasus kecelakaan kerja tipe ringan, tahun 2015 terdapat 14 kasus kecelakaan kerja tipe ringan, tahun 2016 terdapat 23 kasus kecelakaan kerja, 2 kasus diantaranya merupakan kecelakaan kerja berat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan SMK3 dan implikasinya terhadap kejadian kecelakaan kerja.Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yaitu  penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui secara jelas dan mendalam tentang penerapan SMK3 dan implikasinya terhadap kejadian kecelakaan kerja. Informan penelitian ini adalah pihak manajemen yaitu P2K3. Analisis data dilakukan dengan tiga proses yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa yang menjadi kendala dalam penerapan SMK3 sehingga berimplikasi terhadap kejadian kecelakaan kerja adalah pelaksanaan SMK3 yang belum terlaksana dengan baik oleh pihak manajemen dalam hal pelaksanaan program K3 yang tidak tepat sasaran, kurangnya pengawasan oleh pihak manajemen, evaluasi dari setiap kegiatan yang belum terlaksana dengan optimal serta sikap/tindakan tidak aman tenaga kerja seperti bekerja tidak sesuai dengan SOP, tidak menggunakan Alat Pelindung Diri ketika bekerja.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diharapkan kepada pihak manajemen PKS Kebun Rambutan untuk melaksanakan sosialisasi secara terus menerus tentang penerapan SMK3, melakukan pengawasan yang lebih optimal dan melibatkan tenaga kerja secara aktif dalam semua kegiatan yang dilakukan, melakukan evaluasi terhadap setiap kegiatan yang dilakukan untuk melihat efektivitas kegiatan tersebut. Kata Kunci : Pelaksanaan K3, Pemantauan K3, Kecelakaan Kerja,Tebing Tinggi, 2017.

Abstract

Background: The membership of employees in Accident Benefit Program and occupational health and safety implementation at workplace are business-owner responsibility. Business group type III as the member of Employment Accident Benefit Program when not performing accident prevention efforts will not be expected to decrease employment accident to zero and it implicates in the escalation of employment accident claims.Method: The research periods were 4 months (April – August 2006) and located at PT Jamsostek Medan branch. Survey research with correlation setting was used as research method. The research samples involves 105 enterprises from business group type III as the member of Employment Accident Benefit Program at PT Jamsostek Medan Branch, which their employees experiencing employment accident during one year (January 1st until December 31st 2005), and being reported to PT Jamsostek Medan Branch and receives employment accident benefit. The research data that consist of number of employment accident and employment accident benefit were collected from Employment Accident Report Phase I (Jamsostek Form 3) and Employment Accident Report Phase II (Jamsostek Form 3a), and number of employee membership data of Accident Benefit Program at PT Jamsostek Medan Branch. Spearman’s product moment correlation was used to analyze data.Results: There is a significant relationship (p <0.01) between number of employees membership in Employment Accident Benefit Program and number of employment accident, regression coefficient was (r) = 0.258. There is strongly significant relationship (p < 0.01) between number of employment accident and number of employment accident benefit, correlation coefficient was (r) = 0.641.Conclusion: To reduce number of employment accident and employment accident benefit, business group type III must performs the occupational health and safety in order to generate healthy and safety workplace and to comply the occupational health And safety regulation. PT Jamsostek was expected to actively participating and continued supporting the occupational health and safety implementation by enterprises as the membership of Employment Accident Benefit Program and cooperates with Local Manpower Institution which also assigned on developing and supervising the occupational health and safety implementation.Keywords: membership of employees in the Employment Accident Benefit Program, employment accident, employment accident benefit

Abstract

Background: The existing of opinion that enterprises registered within Employment Accident Benefit Program to reduce the employment’s accident risk will disregard the implementation of occupational health and safety (OHS). The implementation of OHS through the occupational health and safety management system (OHSMS) is an obligation for enterprises as means to prevent employment accident in order to establish a comfort, health and safe workplace and contiunity of business.Method: The type research which used is survey research using cross-sectional design. Samples consist of 55 enterprises from type III of group-business which registered in Employment Accident Benefit Program at PT Jamsostek Medan Branch. Accident rate data were gathered through enterprises report on Jamsostek Form 3 Type K.K.3 (Employment Accident Report Phase I) within one year period (January 1st - December 31st, 2005). The level of compliance the implementation of OHSMS was measured by OHSMS audits which consist of 166 criteria. Regression analyzes was employed to examine relationship between accident rate and level of compliance the implementation of OHSMS.Results: Accident rate was varying among each business types ranges 87 cases as most frequent and 1 case least. Higher level of compliance the implementation of OHSMS were 127 criteria (76.51%), lowest were 6 criteria (3.61%) with average     32 criteria (19.04%). It is recognized that 2 (3.64%) enterprises were reach 60 - 84% criteria and 53 (96.36%) enterprises reach 0 - 60% criteria for compliance. Total average and percentage which actually been comply by enterprises on each criteria element from 12 auditing elements of OHSMS was mostly on 5th element (purchasing). Relationship between accident rate and level of compliance the implementation of OHSMS is significant (p < 0.05) with correlation coefficient r = - 0.236.Conclusion: Management must have solid commitment and entail every worker to implement OHSMS, and involves various relevant and qualify parties thus level of compliance the implementation of OHSMS can be improved and reducing accident rate.Keywords:  registered enterprises in the employment accident benefit program, accident rate, the level of compliance the implementation of occupational health and safety management system
