Abstract

ABSTRACT Anxiety is a normal reaction to situations that are very stressful in a person's life. Anxiety can appear alone or combine with other symptoms of various emotional disorders. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that cause the wife's anxiety to face her husband who was hospitalized at Dr. Pirngadi Medan in 2020 This type of research is an analytic survey with a cross sectional study design. The study was conducted inpatient at Dr. RSUD Pirngadi Medan. There were 88 research samples which were obtained using the Slovin formula. To analyze the data logistic regression test was used. Based on the results of the study note that the cost of treatment, factors at risk of losing loved ones, healing factors, factors that take care, household factors, family life threat factors, and length of stay factors affect the anxiety of the wife facing her husband who was hospitalized in hospitals DR. Pirngadi Medan 2020 and the most related factor is the risk of losing a loved one. Based on the results of the study, it is suggested that wives can increase their faith so that they can be patient in facing husbands who are hospitalized and can increase their trust or confidence in hospital services for the healing of hospitalized husbands.

Abstract

Tekstur keras dan renyah merupakan sifat khas produk goreng yang disukai konsumen. Untuk menghasilkan tekstur produk goreng yang keras dan renyah sesuai dengan selera konsumen, perlu diperhatikan kondisi bahan bakudan perubahan yang terjadi selama proses penggorengan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh suhu dan tekanan terhadap tekstur keripik buah selama proses penggorengan pada kondisi vakum. Sampel penelitian adalah buah nangka digoreng pada suhu 90 dan 100 OC, lama penggorengan 15 – 60 menit dan tekanan vakum 10 dan 15 kPa. Seluruh air yang ada dalam padatan dianggap sebagai air bebas yang menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan tekstur jika dihilangkan. Parameter yang yang diamati adalah kekerasan, kerenyahan kadar air, suhu, dan tekanan vakum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan suhu dan tekanan vakum mempengaruhi perubahan kekerasan, kerenyahan produk dan penguapan air dalam padatan selama penggorengan. Laju perubahan kekerasan dan laju perubahan kerenyahan dipengaruhi oleh laju penguapan air bebas sesuai dengan kandungan air dalam padatan. Kata kunci: Suhu, Tekanan, Kadar air, Tekstur

Abstract

The aims of this study were: 1) to develop a biology practical guidance based on TGT cooperative models equipped with practical performance assessment instrument; 2) to determine the characteristics and suitability of products than have been developed; 3) to know it’s effectiveness in critical  thinking abilities on biology subject of students in class XI. Product development process in this study by following Borg and Gall’s Development. The result of the expert validation by 3 validators showed that each of  the average score in biology practical guidance based on TGT and practical performance assessment instrument were 4,41 and 4,48 and categorized as “very good”. Limited testing conducted on 10 students with high, medium, and low ability. The result of limited testing showed that each of percentage score average in biology practical guidance based on TGT and practical performance assessment instrument were 82,67% and 83,33% and categorized as “very good”. Field trial testing using a pre-test post-test control group design. The data of critical  thinking abilities are tested in this study consist of 5 indicator skills:  (1) formulate the problem; (2) recognize the existence of a logical relationship between issues; (3) collect and collate information; (4) asses and evaluate the statement of facts; (5) Make some conclude were needed. Data analysis were performed  using two independent sample test formula by SPSS 20 for windows. The analysis showed that the critical  thinking abilities for indicator 1, 2, 3, and 5 of experimental group different from the control group, while the fourth indicator not different. Data analysis equipped with calculation of the value of n-gain to determine  the effectiveness of learning by using product that have been developed. The result of the data analysis showed that the value of n-gain in experimental groupis equal to 0,71 and categorized as “high”.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of cooperative learning on cognitive learning outcomes in terms of students' academic abilities. This study was aquasi-experimental research design with non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design with 2x4 factorial design. The study population was a student of biology education STKIP Bima semester IV, total of 8 classes with a number of 336 students. Samples were obtained through a simple random sampling technique, of which there are 8 classes taken 4 classes as the sample with 168 students.The research instrument is a cognitive achievement test. The data were analyze dusing statistical techniques Anacova two paths. The results showed that 1) There is influence of cooperative learning model type STAD, Jigsaw II, and the TGT to the cognitive achievement of students (p <0.05), 2) There is influence of academic ability on the cognitive achievement of students (p <0.05) , 3) There is no influence to interaction effect between cooperative learning model type STAD, Jigsaw II, and TGT with academic ability of the student cognitive learning outcomes (p> 0.05), 4) Different test results show that the cooperative learning model TGT significant differences in their effects oncognitive learning outcomes, compared with Jigsaw II, and STAD (coefficient positively and sig. <0,05).

Abstract

This research was conclude in three main goals. Firstly, the effect of advance organizer implementation using animation on students natural science subject achievement VII Grade Students at SMP. Secondly, the effect of interest of students on learning on the advance organizer implementation using animation on students natural science subject achievement VII Grade Students at SMP. Lastly, the effect of combination between advance organizer implementation using animation and interest on students natural science subject achievement VII Grade Students at SMP. This research was a 2x2 factorial designs. The result of statistical analyzed using anava two ways showed at 5% level significant there were significant influence of advance organizer implementatoin using animation on students natural science subject achievement VII Grade Students at SMP (F count 396,6 > F table 6,81), interest of students on learning on the advance organizer implementation using animation on students natural science subject achievement VII Grade Students at SMP (F count 138,4 > F table 6,81), and the combination of between advance organizer implementation using animation and interest on students natural science subject achievement VII Grade Students at SMP (F count 61,95 > F table 6,81). This research was conclude that advance organizer implementation using animation, interest of students on learning on the advance organizer implementation using animation on students natural science subject, and combination of between advance organizer implementation using animation and interest on students natural science subject can highly influence of natural science learning achievements VII Grade Students at SMPN 1 Batukliang.Keyword: organizer, animation, interest, learning achievements.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are 1) developing learning device based on scientific approach with model of guided discovery 2) knowing elegibility peripheral of study base on scientific approach model of guided discovery 3) Knowing effectiveness peripheral of study to ability domination biological concept. Development peripheral of study use model 4D from Tiagrajan S. Semmel & modified Semmel become three phase, that is phase of define, design, and development. Result of development peripheral study is hereinafter analysed to use formula of presentase adapted for mean the tables criterion result of validasi. To know effectiveness peripheral of study to domination biological concept, peripheral of study in aplicate limited group in SMAN 1 Bayan and analysed to use formula of presentase complete individual. Result of research show, peripheral of study base on scientific approach model of guided discovery categorized good (valid) and very good (very valid) competent so that used in course study of biology in SMAN 1 Bayan, and peripheral study can streamline ability of domination biological concept student.Keyword: Learning device, Scientific approach, Guided discovery,   Mastery of biological concept

Abstract

Arguing ability was a part of critical thinking skills which important to be mastered by the students. In fact, students’ ability to argue was still relatively low. This referred to the TIMSS report (The Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study) in 2011, and showed that Indonesian children’s level in science was positioned in 42 from 45 countries. One kind of efforts to improve the quality of the ability to argue was applying the model of guided inquiry. This study was aimed to develop inquiry-based learning tools (PPBIT) and analyzed its effectiveness in developing the ability to argue of students at SMAN 2 Taliwang-West Sumbawa. PPBIT was carried out by applying 4D procedure. Then, pretest posttest control group design also completely concerned in determining the effectiveness of PPBIT. There were 66 students as the sample which was scattered from two classes and was selected by using purposive sampling technique. The results showed that PPBIT was appropriately to be used for students argumentation  skills’ activities by an average of feasibility syllabus 78.71%, RPP 83.5, LKITS 75%, and Instruments KB 80.25%, and effective in improving the ability to argue the class X SMAN 2 Taliwang, particularly on the subject of environmental pollution and recycling of waste by the average score of the students' ability from 48.22 up to 85.08Keyword: PPBIT, Argument
