Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis: (1) peningkatan kemampuan menulis jurnal belajar, (2) perbedaan kemampuan metakognisi siswa yang menulis jurnal belajar dengan siswa yang tidak menulis jurnal belajar, dan (3) hubungan kemampuan menulis jurnal belajar dengan kemampuan metakognisi siswa. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan nonequivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas X dan kelas XI di SMAN 1 Pringgarata tahun ajaran 2014/2015 (285 orang). Sampel penelitian ditentukan melalui teknik simple random sampling. Sampel penelitian yang berjumlah 124 orang tersebar di kelas X3 dan XI IPA1 sebagai kelompok eksperimen, serta di kelas X2 danXI IPA2 sebagai kelompok kontrol. Instrumen penelitian berupa jurnal belajar, rubrik penilaian jurnal belajar, dan inventori kesadaran metakognisi. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan program SPSS for windows 16. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kemampuan siswa dalam menulis jurnal belajar mengalami peningkatan (N-gain= 0,2), (2) ada perbedaan kemampuan metakognisi antara siswa yang menulis jurnal belajar dengan siswa yang tidak menulis jurnal belajar (p < 0,05), dan (3) kemampuan menulis jurnal belajar berkorelasi positif dengan kemampuan metakognisi (p < 0,05).Kata kunci: jurnal belajar, kemampuan metakognisiAbstract. The aim of this research were  to analyze: (1) the improvement of students ability in journal writing skills, (2) the difference of metacognitive skills between students who wrote learning journal and those who did not write learning journal, (3) the correlation of journal writing skills and the metacognitive skills of students. The research design was used nonequivalent control group design. The Population of this research were students in X and XI class of SMAN 1 Pringgarata 2014/2015 (285 peoples). Sample of this research was determined by simple random sampling technique. The amount of sample were  124 peoples, that distributed in X3 and XI IPA1 classas experimental group,  X2 and XI IPA2  class as control group. The research instruments were learning journal, rubric of learning journal and metacognitive awareness inventory (MAI). Data in this research was analyzed by using SPSS for windows 16. The result of this research shows: (1) the students skills in writing journal was increase (N-gain = 0,2), (2) there were significant difference between students who wrote journal and those who did not write journal (p < 0,05), and (3) journal writing skills was positively correlated with the students metacognitive skill   (p < 0,05).Keywords: learning journal, metacognitive skills

Abstract

Abstrak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh (1) konsentrasi ragi, (2) lama fermentasi serta (3) interaksi antara konsentrasi ragi dan lama fermentasi terhadap kadar air, glukosa dan organoleptik pada tape sukun. Bahan utama yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah tape sukun. Penelitian dilaksanakan secara eksperimental berdasarkan Rancangan Acak Lengkap pola faktorial. Faktor I konsentrasi ragi (0,5; 1 dan 1,5%) dan faktor II lama fermentasi (1, 2 dan 3 hari) dengan 3 kali ulangan. Parameter penelitian meliputi kadar air, glukosa dan organoleptik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) konsentrasi ragi berpengaruh terhadap kadar air (p < 0,05), kadar glukosa (p < 0,05) dan organoleptik (p < 0,05) tape sukun. (2) Lama fermentasi berpengaruh terhadap kadar air (p < 0,05), kadar glukosa (p < 0,05) dan organoleptik tape sukun (p < 0,05). (3) Interaksi antara konsentrasi ragi dan lama fermentasi berpengaruh terhadap kadar air (p < 0,05) dan organoleptik (p < 0,05) tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap kadar glukosa (p > 0,05) tape sukun. Kata kunci: konsentrasi ragi, lama fermentasi, kadar air, kadar glukosa, organoleptik

Abstract

This study aims to determine the distribution and trends of student thesis research on science education master study program University of Mataram, in terms of the type of research, the focus of study and research subjects. Data obtained through documentation techniques. Data were analyzed by descriptive qualitative tehniques and continued with FGD. The results showed that 73% of the student's thesis research themes included in the education and 27% belong to the natural science (Biology, Physics, and Chemistry). Education research was dominated by learning methods (50%), media applications and media development (17%), respectively, followed by the development of learning tools (13%) and the competence of teachers (3%). Thesis research subjects was dominated at the level of high school (70%), followed by junior high (25%), S1 (2.5%), and teachers (2.5%). Analysis based on the year thesis from 2009 to 2014 provided information that there were increasing trends on topics related to the development of media and the development of learning tools. Focus Group Discussion recommended that the topics for thesis research in the future which need to be improved are the topic of media development, development of learning tools and topics related aspects of critical thinking.Keywords: thesis research, trends, subjects, education

Abstract

The aims of this study were: 1) to develop a biology practical guidance based on TGT cooperative models equipped with practical performance assessment instrument; 2) to determine the characteristics and suitability of products than have been developed; 3) to know it’s effectiveness in critical  thinking abilities on biology subject of students in class XI. Product development process in this study by following Borg and Gall’s Development. The result of the expert validation by 3 validators showed that each of  the average score in biology practical guidance based on TGT and practical performance assessment instrument were 4,41 and 4,48 and categorized as “very good”. Limited testing conducted on 10 students with high, medium, and low ability. The result of limited testing showed that each of percentage score average in biology practical guidance based on TGT and practical performance assessment instrument were 82,67% and 83,33% and categorized as “very good”. Field trial testing using a pre-test post-test control group design. The data of critical  thinking abilities are tested in this study consist of 5 indicator skills:  (1) formulate the problem; (2) recognize the existence of a logical relationship between issues; (3) collect and collate information; (4) asses and evaluate the statement of facts; (5) Make some conclude were needed. Data analysis were performed  using two independent sample test formula by SPSS 20 for windows. The analysis showed that the critical  thinking abilities for indicator 1, 2, 3, and 5 of experimental group different from the control group, while the fourth indicator not different. Data analysis equipped with calculation of the value of n-gain to determine  the effectiveness of learning by using product that have been developed. The result of the data analysis showed that the value of n-gain in experimental groupis equal to 0,71 and categorized as “high”.

Abstract

Callus induction determines the successfulness of micropropagation through somatic embryogenesis. This research was conducted to determine the effect of 2,4-D and BAP on callus induction of peanut (Kelinci strain). Callus induction was done on MS medium, with the observed variables were of initiation time, diameter, texture and color callus. Statistical analysis showed that 2,4-D and BAP affect the initiation time, diameter, texture and color callus. The earliest initiation of callus formation was obtained from MS medium with the addition of 4 mg/L 2,4-D. The diameter of the largest callus obtained from MS medium with the addition of 3 mg/L 2,4-D + 1 mg/L BAP. Callus color were affected by the treatment of 2,4-D and BAP, while callus texture was not affected by these treatmen, in which compact callus texture was not affected by these treatment, in which compact callus texture was observed in all treatments.Keywords: Induction of callus, 2,4-D, BAP, peanuts

Abstract

This study aims to know the abilities of the teachers in applying authentical assessment in biology at grade X IPA Senior High School of Lombok Timur district. This study using descriptive method which getting data in the verbal only not in numbers. Getting samples at 8 Senior High Schools of Lombok Timur district which aplicate kurikulum 2013 they are SMAN 1 Masbagik, SMAN 2 Aikmel, SMAN 1 Sikur, SMAN 1 Terara, SMAN 2 Selong, SMAN 1 Keruak, SMAN 1 Montong Gading and SMAN 1 Sakra. To these teachers of biology were given instruments which asked how the authentical assessment reseach done in the schools and the result were presented in this study. The ability of teachers in applying authentical assessment were different from every questions there are attitude, knowledge and skill. Attitude they are observations, self assessment, assessment among students, journal and interview were answered by teachers with yes 65,62% , knowledge were answered by teachers by yes 88,75% and skill were answered yes 87,75%. Ability of teachers in applying authentical assessment were answered yes as many as 78,75% and the next verbally answered by teachers because of the problems in applying authentical assessments. Abstract

This study aims to identify the types of endophytic bacteria on the bark of terap (Artocarpus elasticus) capable of inhibiting the growth of clinical isolate bacteria of Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhi, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Stages of this study were (1) isolating the endophytic bacteria from the bark of terap plants (2) antibacterial test (inhibition test) against clinical isolate bacteria, (3) biochemical test upon endophytic isolate bacteria showing strong  inhibition effect, (4) moleculer identifcation upon endophytic bacteria isolate showing strong  inhibition effect. From this study, it was obtained 34 barks of terap isolates, and 12 isolates have inhibitory effect on S. aureus. Based on 16S rRNA   molecular identification, the isolate of endophytic bacteria of the barks were identified as Bacillus cereus, Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus amyloliquefaciens. Those  endophytic bacteria of Terap plants  are potentially  to be  developed as a the producer of antibacterial compounds.Keywords: Terap bark, Endophytic bacteria, Identification, Antibacteria

Abstract

Penyakit yang disebabkan oleh virus COVID-19 merupakan sebuah pandemik yang melanda seluruh belahan dunia. Covid-19 masih menjadi virus yang menyebar di seluruh dunia, bahkan COVID-19 sekarang semakin berkembang dengan adanya varian baru seperti Omicron yang dinilai penyebarannya lebih cepat dibandingkan varian sebelumnya. Desa Sengkol merupakan salah satu desa yang termasuk ke dalam wilayah Kecamatan Pujut Kabupaten Lombok Tengah Nusa Tenggara Barat yang terletak di jalur pariwisata Kabupaten Lombok Tengah sehingga rentan dilalui turis-turis asing maupun lokal yang hendak berlibur ke daerah pariwisata Lombok Tengah, maka rentan pula terhadap penularan virus COVID-19 dari luar daerah maupun luar negeri. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan upaya pencegahan penyebaran virus COVID-19 melalui kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan pembuatan hand sanitizer di Desa Sengkol. Metode kegiatan dilakukan dengan metode partisipatif yang melibatkan siswa-siswi SMPN 1 Pujut. Materi sosialisasi berupa gejala COVID-19, tindakan pencegahan penularana virus COVID-19, vaksinasi dan bahaya varian baru virus COVID-19 yakni Omicron. Pelatihan pembuatan hand sanitizer dilakukan berdasarkan pedoman dari WHO dan surat edaran dari BPOM RI. Pelaksanaan semua kegiatan berjalan dengan baik dan lancar karena adanya dukungan dan antusias dari para peserta kegiatan. Dengan adanya kegiatan yang dilakukan diharapkan dapat memberikan tambahan pengetahuan dalam upaya pencegahan penyebaran dan penuluran virus COVID-19 di area sekolah dan di Desa Sengkol secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

Model akumulasi logam berat air raksa (Hg) dan Kadmium (Cd) pada manusia adalah hal yang perlu dipahami oleh siswa pada berbagai jenjang sekolah termasuk siswa Madrasah tsanawiah Negeri 1 (MTsN 1) kota Bima. Permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra adalah bagaimana upaya yang harus dilakukan untuk mendapatkan pengetahuan, dan keterampilan yang bagaimankah yang harus dimiliki oleh siswa MTsN 1 Kota Bima agar dapat mengerti tentang model akumulasi logam berat Hg dan Cd dalam jasad hidup dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman tentang model akumulasi logam berat Hg dan Cd bagi siswa dan memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang tentang cara untuk menghindari diri dari kontak langsung dengan logam berat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari agar siswa MTsN 1 Kota Bima terhindar dari pola model akumulasi logam berat. Manfaat dari pelatihan ini adalah adanya peningkatan pemahaman tentang model akumulasi logam berat Hg dan Cd, dan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang cara untuk menghindari diri dari kontak langsung dengan logam berat Hg dan Cd dalam kehidupan sehari-hari agar siswa peserta pelatihan terhindar dari pola model akumulasi logam berat. Pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang penyusunan urutan akumulasi logam berat Hg dan Cd dalam rantai makanan telah mengantarkan siswa MTsN 1 Kota Bima sehingga dapat mengerti tentang model akumulasi logam berat Air Raksa (Hg) dan Kadmium (Cd) dalam jasad hidup dalam kehidupannya sehari-hari. Upaya melalui pelatihan tentang Model Akumulasi Logam Berat Hg dan Cd dalam jaringan makhluk hidup telah meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang model akumulasi logam berat Air Raksa (Hg) dan Kadmium (Cd) pada manusia kepada siswa MTsN 1 Kota Bima.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan pemanfaatan pupuk organik dalam budidaya tanaman, dilakukan di Dusun Bunsambang Kecamatan Jonggat, Lombok Tengah. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 11 orang masyarakat yang bermatapencaharian sebagai petani. Peaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan metode ceramah dan pendampingan. Tahapan kegiatan meliputi (1) sosialisasi, (2) Penyiapan alat dan bahan, (3) pembersihan lahan pertanian, (4) pengolahan lahan, (5) aplikasi pupuk organik, (6) pemasangan mulasa plastik hitam perak, (6) penanaman kacang panjang dan (7) pemeliharaan tanaman (pengairan serta peberantasan hama dan penyakit tanaman). Pada saat pelaksanaan kegiatan, masyarakat yang menjadi mitra kegiatan terlibat secara aktif dari permulaan sampai kegiatan berakhir.. Hasil kegiatan ini adalah: (1) masyarakat Dusun Bunsambang yang mengikuti kegiatan, telah dapat melakukan pengolahan lahan pertanian untuk budidaya tanaman menggunakan mulsa plastik hitam perak, (2) mitra telah memilki pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam aplikasi pupuk organik kascing pada lahan pertanian untuk budidaya tanaman sayuran.
