Abstract

Digital image processing is a field of study that focuses on how an image can be formed, processed, and analyzed to generate useful information for humans. In this research, the utilization of digital images is implemented to classify BISINDO (Indonesian Sign Language) letters from A to Z using the Random Forest classification method. The initial stage in the classification of BISINDO letter images involves pre-processing, which includes converting RGB images to grayscale and performing segmentation through three stages: thresholding, morphology, and edge detection using the Prewitt operator. Subsequently, features such as HSV color extraction and metric shape features, as well as eccentricity, are extracted. These extracted feature values are then utilized in the classification stage of BISINDO letter images from A to Z using the Random Forest method. In this study, three data comparison scenarios were employed for testing purposes. The first scenario involved an 80:20 data ratio, which achieved a testing accuracy of 94.2%. The second scenario with a 70:30 data ratio achieved a testing accuracy of 93.6%, while the third scenario with a 60:40 data ratio had a lower accuracy of only 77.9%. Based on the results of our testing, the system developed is capable of effectively classifying BISINDO letters from A to Z using color and shape feature extraction, along with the Random Forest classification method. The best results were obtained in the data comparison scenario of 80:20, achieving an accuracy rate of 94.2%. Keywords – BISINDO, HSV, Metric, Eccentricity, Random Forest.

Abstract

Lipa’ Le’leng merupakan sarung adat khas Suku Ammatoa di Kajang, Kabupaten Bulukumba, yang memiliki nilai budaya dan ekonomi tinggi. Seiring berkembangnya teknologi dan meningkatnya minat pasar terhadap produk budaya, permintaan terhadap Lipa’ Le’leng semakin meningkat, termasuk dari masyarakat di luar komunitas Suku Kajang. Namun, ketiadaan standar kualitas baku dalam proses produksi menyebabkan variasi kualitas yang dapat memengaruhi kepuasan pelanggan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini mengembangkan sistem pendukung keputusan berbasis web menggunakan metode Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) untuk menentukan kualitas Lipa’ Le’leng berdasarkan empat kriteria utama, yaitu jenis benang, tingkat kepekatan warna, motif, dan pengkilapan. Sistem ini dikembangkan dengan model Extreme Programming (XP), yang menekankan fleksibilitas dalam pengembangan perangkat lunak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem yang dikembangkan mampu mengolah data kriteria dengan metode AHP untuk memberikan rekomendasi kualitas kepada calon konsumen. Pengujian menggunakan metode Black Box Testing menunjukkan bahwa sistem berjalan sesuai spesifikasi yang diharapkan. Dengan adanya sistem ini, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan transparansi kualitas produk dan memberikan kemudahan bagi calon pembeli dalam menentukan pilihan berdasarkan standar yang lebih objektif.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi pada bidang informasi saat ini sangatlah maju, salah satu teknologi tersebut yaitu Internet of Things (IoT) yang merupakan pengembangan dari perangkat teknologi yang memiliki kemampuan menerima data, mengolah data dan mengirim informasi ke pengguna. Dengan kehadiran Internet of Things menawarkan sistem kontrol-monitoring melalui aplikasi smartphone. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang sistem dengan teknologi Internet of Things pada microwave untuk memonitoring proses transesterifikasi pembuatan biodiesel. Metode yang digunakan adalah merancang sebuah sistem kontrol monitoring yang terintegrasi ke internet menggunakan ESP32 serta sensor suhu, kecepatan, dan waktu. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian yang dilakukan sistem dapat bekerja dengan baik yang dapat dimonitoring melalui pengiriman data kedalam database dan ditampilkan pada website serta mobile phone.

Abstract

This research paper presents a comprehensive analysis of the Gaussian Naive Bayes (GNB) classifier's application in predicting health conditions from blood samples, underpinned by a handcrafted dataset representative of typical physiological ranges. Through a meticulous 5-fold cross-validation approach, the study assesses the GNB model's performance in terms of accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score, revealing not only high efficacy but also consistent improvement in predictive capability across successive folds. A detailed confusion matrix provides further insights into the model's classification proficiency. The results affirmatively address the research hypotheses, indicating the GNB classifier's reliability and effectiveness as a diagnostic tool. With the increasing need for rapid and accurate medical diagnostics, the study's findings underscore the potential of even simple machine learning models to augment traditional blood test analyses, thereby offering significant contributions to the field of biomedical informatics. The research lays the groundwork for future explorations into the integration of machine learning in clinical settings, advocating for the verification of these promising results with real-world clinical data and the comparative analysis of various machine learning models. The potential for automated, precise diagnostic processes paves the way for enhanced patient care and resource optimization in healthcare.

Abstract

Anak-anak dan remaja sering menggunakan media sosial dan bermain game secara berlebihan, yang dapat berdampak negatif terhadap kesehatan dan prestasi akademik. Kurangnya kesadaran akan keamanan digital dan etika penggunaan teknologi menjadikan mereka rentan terhadap ancaman siber. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi digital siswa Sekolah Kebangsaan Syeikh Mohd Idris Al-Marbawi di Malaysia melalui workshop interaktif. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi analisis kebutuhan, penyusunan dan pelaksanaan materi pelatihan, kepada 20 siswa kelas 5. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman siswa terhadap penggunaan gadget yang bijak dan etika digital. Kegiatan ini juga mendorong pengembangan kemampuan interpersonal dan kesadaran terhadap keamanan siber.

Abstract

Traditional clove essential oil distillation remains inefficient due to manual labor dependency, imprecise oil-water separation, and inconsistent product quality. Addressing these limitations, this study aims to design and develop a smart, Internet of Things (IoT)-based system named AquaClove to automate and optimize the distillation process. The system integrates an ESP32 microcontroller, ultrasonic sensors, and solenoid valves, enabling precise fluid level detection and automated oil-water separation. Using the Arduino IoT Cloud, the system supports real-time monitoring and remote control, enhancing operational transparency and scalability. results indicate that the system achieved a 32% reduction in total distillation time (from 4.2 to 2.9 hours), 66.7% reduction in labor requirements (from 3 to 1 personnel), and 66.7% reduction in oil loss per 10-liter batch (from 0.6 L to 0.2 L). The ultrasonic sensors consistently detected liquid levels with an average measurement deviation of less than ±2 mm, while solenoid valves responded within 0.8 seconds of command input. These outcomes demonstrate significant improvements in process efficiency, separation precision, and system responsiveness. Furthermore, the modular container design promotes gravity-assisted separation, enhancing energy efficiency and reducing mechanical complexity. The remote monitoring feature allows users to access real-time data on fluid levels and system status, ensuring reliable operation with minimal manual supervision. AquaClove thus demonstrates how integrating ultrasonic sensing and IoT technologies can modernize traditional agricultural processes. This study contributes a scalable and sustainable solution to the essential oil industry, particularly in small- and medium-scale clove oil production.

Abstract

Background: The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, particularly in language modeling, has driven the adoption of chatbots to support e-commerce services. Alni Accessories store faces challenges related to limited product information and slow customer service, which negatively impact user satisfaction.Aims: This study aims to analyze the performance of a fine-tuned ChatGPT-3.5-based chatbot to improve interaction quality and transaction efficiency on the e-commerce platform.Methods & Results: The evaluation process was carried out through a series of experiments, where the 13th experiment achieved the best results with a Training Loss of 0.3894 and a Validation Loss of 0.5787. The Training Mean Token Accuracy of 0.8799 and Validation Mean Token Accuracy of 0.7971 indicate the model’s ability to effectively learn language patterns. Furthermore, the Full Validation Loss of 0.6242 and Full Validation Mean Token Accuracy of 0.8122 demonstrate the model’s strong generalization capability. The independent t-test produced a p-value of 0.0001, confirming a statistically significant difference in transaction response time between the old system and the new system. The findings of this study show that the fine-tuned ChatGPT-3.5 chatbot not only accelerates services and improves product information accuracy but also holds great potential for implementation in other sectors such as education and healthcare.

Pada pengabdian ini akan diberikan bimbingan dalam mengelola UKM Bilqis yang terletak di Desa Sanrobone Kecamatan Sanrobone Kab. Gowa. Selama ini UKM Bilqis menjalankan usahanya dengan sangat konvensional. Oleh karena itu, maka diperlukan pemahaman tentang manajemen strategi, komponen-komponen, manfaat manajemen strategi baik manfaat keuangan maupun dari manfaat non keuangan.

Abstract

Lembang Marinding is a village in Mengkedek Subdistrict, Tana Toraja Regency with high potential of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The problem that emerges in MSMEs in Lembang Marinding is that product sales are still carried out conventionally. MSME actors in Lembang Marinding are not yet proficient in applying information technology (IT) in marketing. The community service team offers a solution by providing socialization and extension on the benefits of sell their products through digital marketing. The community service activities were carried out from October to November 2022. The target participants of these activities were the MSME actors in Lembang Marinding. The method used in overcoming problems in Lembang Marinding is mapped the MSME products in the area and provided technical training regarding how to partner with the marketplaces. One of the marketplaces chosen as partner in this training is Shopee by offering fairly easy access for beginner users to use the marketplace. The results show that the community service activities carried out by the team have successfully provided understanding, abilities, and skills to MSME actors in Lembang Marinding by introduce them to the marketplaces so that their products can be recognized by buyers outside of Tana Toraja and reach wider range of buyers. In addition, MSME actors in Lembang Marinding who participated in the training and socialization activities received modules as a guide to partner with the marketplace. The results of this activities show that MSME actors can apply technology in marketing their products, starting from how to join the marketplace to the benefits obtained.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the impact of education decentralization through the local curriculum in improving senior secondary school students' vocational and economic skills. This research uses a mixed methods approach with a sequential exploratory design. This design applied a qualitative approach followed by a quantitative approach. Data collection with the qualitative approach used in-depth interviews, while the quantitative approach used questionnaires and documentation of practical exam results. The participants in the qualitative approach were the vice principal and the traditional cookery subject teacher. The sample in the quantitative approach was students who took traditional cookery subjects. Qualitative data analysis used the Miles and Huberman formula, namely data display, data reduction, and conclusions, while quantitative data analysis used descriptive quantitative and MANOVA. The results showed that the impact of decentralization through the local content curriculum on improving students' vocational and economic skills was in the "good" category. The impact of decentralizing education through the local curriculum can reduce the dropout rate of poor students. MANOVA results showed no difference in the impact of the local curriculum on vocational skills across the six schools. However, there is a significant difference in the impact of the local curriculum on students' economic improvement in the six schools.
