Abstract

PT. X is a company engaged in the production of electrical and electronic equipment, one of its products is camera. This research aims to compare the inventory policies that have been implemented by the company with other dynamic deterministic models. In the production process, the company uses a stock policy with the Lot for Lot (LFL) method, but the total costs incurred by the company and the frequency of ordering are still quite high. This research aims to compare the inventory policies that have been implemented by the company with other dynamic deterministic models, such as Period Order Quantity (POQ) and Economic Part Period (EPP) methods so that the optimal inventory method can be determined. The results of this study indicate that the Economic Part Period (EPP) is the optimal method with a total cost of Rp. 69,284,600 and the order frequency is 7 times.

Abstract

Inventory control needs to be done to meet customer demand but also consider the costs that can be incurred. Inventory needs to be managed properly to minimize the inventory costs incurred. PT XYZ is a company engaged in the supply and distribution of gas. This study aims to compare the inventory control of oxygen gas products for filling 1 m3 cylinders with the Least Unit Cost, Least Total Cost, and Silver Meal methods. Comparison of inventory policies is carried out by considering the total cost of inventory to obtain the method that gives the smallest total inventory cost. Based on the results of data processing and analysis that has been carried out, it is obtained that the inventory policy using the Silver Meal method provides the smallest total inventory cost compared to the other two methods, namely Least Unit Cost (LUC) and Least Total Cost (LTC). The total cost generated by using the Silver Meal method is Rp. 145,560. As for the frequency of orders generated by the Silver Meal method, namely twice for twelve months.

Abstract

Abstract

The business development that is getting faster needs continuous improvements. Implementation of continuous improvement is carried out in large companies and needs to be carried out by MSMEs (Medium Small Micro Enterprises). One activity that needs to be appropriately managed by MSMEs is warehousing. Optimal warehouse management can improve MSME business performance. However, MSMEs do not own knowledge and awareness of continuous improvement optimally. This resulted in warehouse management has not performed optimally by MSMEs. This community service activity aims to provide knowledge to MSMEs about how to identify Muda, Mura, Muri and how to make continuous improvements in warehouse management. Implementing activities is carried out by direct observation and counseling to MSMEs. This community service activity was carried out for two days. The counseling activity was carried out on April 27, attended by owners and employees of Puppet MSMEs in Bogor. The counseling was carried out by providing material on the concept of continuous improvement and identification of Muda, Mura, Muri and continued with a discussion session.

Abstract

The bakery industry in Indonesia shows increasing development. One of the activities carried out by this industry is processing customer orders. Currently, there are still bakery industries where customers order products manually, either by coming directly or by using a telephone or WhatsApp. Manual product ordering causes several problems that can hinder business activities and will have an impact on customer service. This study aims to design an Android-based product ordering application in the bakery industry. The application design uses the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method. The application design stage consists of six stages, namely concept, design, material collecting, manufacturing, testing, and distribution. The results of this study are in the form of an Android-based product ordering application that uses multimedia to provide detailed information related to products and has interactive features to respond to customers quickly. In addition, this application can also generate a summary report of customer orders via the Dashboard. The application that has been designed is expected to support bakery industry players to manage and monitor product ordering performance and improve customer service.
