Abstract

This study aims to identify obstacles in assisting school supervisors in an effort to improve the quality of sustainable services. Using a qualitative approach of a case study, data was obtained from ten school supervisors in two Branch Offices of the Education Office through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The analysis was carried out with the help of Atlas.ti through the stages of open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. The results of the study show that mentoring planning is still dominated by administrative patterns and is not based on data on school needs. Implementation emphasizes document examination rather than reflective dialogue, while monitoring and evaluation are still reporting-oriented. Reflections tend to be sporadic and not well documented. Structural barriers such as uneven superintendent-school ratios, budget constraints, and geographical constraints exacerbate the situation. These findings show a structural-cultural circle that makes mentoring more procedural. The implications of this study confirm the need for data-based mentoring strategies, collective reflection, and strengthening supervisory capacity to get out of administrative traps into transformative roles.

Abstract

Global technological transformation has influenced various aspects of education, including the management of Islamic economics learning. These changes require managerial strategies that are not only adaptive to digital developments but also remain consistent with Islamic principles. This article aims to critically review and analyze the practice of Islamic economics learning management in various countries in the context of technological innovation. The method used is a qualitative literature study, based on an examination of eighteen relevant scientific documents, including journals, research reports, and education policy documents. The results of the study show disparities in managerial practices between institutions in Muslim-majority and Muslim-minority countries, both in terms of the integration of Islamic values, digital readiness, and academic leadership. Institutions that develop value-based learning systems supported by transformational leadership tend to be more successful in responding to changing times. A curriculum integrated with the halal industry context and the use of technology that internalizes the principles of maqashid sharia are characteristics of an innovative and valuable learning model. This study concludes that the development of sharia economics learning management needs to be directed towards a model that is not only responsive to technological disruption but also strongly rooted in Islamic ethics and global needs.

Abstract

This study examines the reconfiguration of education systems in the 21st century by emphasizing the interconnected roles of innovation, equity, and global transformation. The research employs a qualitative approach with a literature-based design to analyze contemporary educational shifts through academic publications and official government data. The findings reveal that educational innovation, particularly through digital technology integration and adaptive pedagogical models, serves as a primary catalyst for systemic transformation. However, disparities in access remain evident, as indicated by the significant decline in school participation rates from 99.19% among children aged 7–12 to 29.01% among young adults aged 19–23 in Indonesia, highlighting structural challenges in sustaining educational continuity. The study further identifies that global transformation has reshaped educational priorities, requiring institutions to incorporate 21st-century competencies, including critical thinking, digital literacy, and cross-cultural understanding. Despite progress in digital adoption, unequal infrastructure distribution and varying levels of institutional readiness continue to hinder inclusive implementation. The discussion underscores that successful education system reconfiguration requires a holistic and integrated approach involving policy alignment, capacity building, and technological accessibility. The study concludes that an adaptive, inclusive, and innovation-driven education system is essential for enhancing global competitiveness while reducing social inequalities. These findings contribute to the broader discourse on sustainable education development by providing a conceptual and empirical foundation for policymakers and educational institutions to design resilient and future-oriented systems.

Abstract

The rapid growth of Islamic financial institutions has not been accompanied by an equivalent increase in Islamic economic literacy, particularly among young learners. This gap reflects a critical issue where individuals possess basic knowledge of Sharia principles but lack the ability to apply them in real financial decision-making. Therefore, this study aims to develop a comprehensive framework for enhancing Islamic economic literacy through Islamic education by integrating contextual and evaluation-based approaches. This study employs a qualitative research design using a systematic literature review. Data were collected from peer-reviewed journal articles, academic books, and official reports indexed in reputable databases such as Scopus and Google Scholar. The inclusion criteria focused on studies related to Islamic economic literacy, contextual learning, and evaluation-based education published within the last ten years. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify key patterns, relationships, and research gaps. The findings indicate that Islamic economic literacy remains largely conceptual and has not been fully internalized into practical financial behavior. The implementation of contextual learning significantly improves learners’ understanding by linking Islamic economic principles to real-life situations. In addition, evaluation-based strategies such as reflective and performance-based assessments play a crucial role in strengthening behavioral transformation and ensuring the sustainability of literacy outcomes. This study contributes by proposing an integrative educational framework that bridges the gap between knowledge and practice through contextual relevance and continuous evaluation. The novelty lies in its multidimensional approach, emphasizing the integration of cognitive, behavioral, and ethical aspects within Islamic economic education.

Abstract

The planning and implementation of learning in early childhood education still tend not to fully align with children’s developmental stages, particularly regarding the development of prosocial behavior. Limited stimulation and structured programs have resulted in children’s prosocial aspects not developing optimally, necessitating a learning approach better suited to children’s needs. Efforts to develop prosocial behavior have been undertaken at Adinda Daycare, but their effectiveness has not yet been scientifically identified. This study aims to describe the planning, implementation, evaluation, and challenges in applying the Montessori practical life area method to develop prosocial behavior in early childhood. This study employs a qualitative approach using descriptive methods and a case study design. The research subjects are the children at Adinda Daycare who were observed. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation using a triangulation approach to ensure data validity. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and systematic conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Montessori practical life area method is effective in improving children’s prosocial behavior including helping others, cooperation, sharing, and honesty to the point where it reaches the “developing as expected” category. Behavioral changes are evident in the increased initiative children demonstrate in helping peers, their ability to cooperate during group activities, their habit of sharing, and their honesty in interactions. Nevertheless, several challenges were identified, such as differences in children’s backgrounds and teachers’ limited understanding of the Montessori method as a whole. The implications of this study suggest that the Montessori practical life method can serve as an effective learning alternative for holistically developing prosocial behavior in early childhood in alignment with their developmental stages.
