Abstract

The cooling process is essentially a process of transfer of heat energy contained in a room. This study aimsto determine the effect of the rotating speed of the compressor driving machine on the optimum cabinoptimum time temperature in the tropics. Equipment used in this research is panel of electrical system of airconditioner. The research method is done by way of experiment directly on the tool with the speedparameters of the engine speed of the compressor with the temperature to be achieved 20 oC, 22 oC, 24 oCdan 26 oC. The results showed that the higher the compressor turn speed the shorter the time required to coolthe cabin. At the engine speed of 1500 rpm, Cp = 293.07 J/mol.K, W = 0.02542 m, top = 0.00219 hours. At2000 rpm engine speed, Cp = 234.48 J/mol.K, W = 0.0285 m, top = 0.00220 hours. At the engine speed of2500 rpm, Cp = 175.88 J/mol.K, W = 0.03303m, top = 0.00222 hours. At 3000 rpm engine speed, Cp =117.275 J/mol.K, W = 0.04059 m, top = 0.00223 hours. At the speed of 3000 rpm compressor engine speedobtained the actual time of the shortest tact = 2.073 minutes and the optimum time top = 0.00223 hours.Keywords: Compressor, temperature, time, AC panel, and propulsion.

Abstract

Noise pollution from noise is a classic promblem in Indonesia. This noise can be reduced by using anacoustic damper. Composite material made from coconut fiber fiber matrix is an alternative material forenvironmentally friendly acoustic damper because it utilizes agricultural waste material. This research hasmade composite based on coconut fiber fiber matrix with polyester resin. To increase the strength of coconutfiber fibers was first muffled in 2% NaOH solution for 3 hours. The composite made then tested the value ofsound absorption coefficient (????), composite damping test is done on kundst tube impedance tool equippedwith spekerr device,amplifer,power supllay,lettop,smartphone,oscilloscope,sound lever meter with inputfrequency 200,400,600 Hz. The result of Noise Absorption Coefficient (NAC) test of all polyester resincomposite test specimens in coconut fiber reinfercement have the highest absorption coefficient 0,50568 (????)at fractoin of 70:30% fiber volume with frequency of 600 Hz. While for the lowest sound absorption result0,503558 (????) with volume fraction of 70:30% fiber with frequency 200 Hz. The overall specimen can be madeas a damper because it has a sound absorption coefficient value >0.5Key word: Composite, acoustic damping, coconut fiber fibers and NAC.

Abstract

Energi merupakan faktor penggerak segala aspek kehidupan, sehingga tidak heran bila energi menjadi hal terpenting dalam kehidupan manusia. Salah satunya yaitu Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikro Hidro (PLTMH) dengan variasa diameter pulley pada turbin, sebagai pengantar putaran ke dinamo menggunakan V Belt. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui variasi diameter pulley terhadap putaran dan daya yang di hasilkan turbin pelton. Pembuatan alat uji dilakukan di Laboratorium Material dan Teknologi Mekanik Jurusan Teknik Mesin Fakultas Teknik Universitas Halu Oleo. Dalam pengambilan data di gunakan beberapa variasi pulley sebagai perbandingan putaran pulley dan daya yang di keluarkan di namo. Pada pulley 1 dengan diameter 5,8 cm daya listrik yang di hasilkan sebesar 1,32 watt. Sedangkan pulley 2 diameter 7,6 cm daya listrik yang di hasilkan sebesar 0,67 watt. Dan pada pulley 3 diameter 10,16 cm daya listrik yang di hasilkan sebesar 0,41 watt. Dapat di simpulkan bahwa daya terbesar di hasilkan dinamo terdapat pada pulley 1 diameter 5,8 cm.
