Abstract

This research is aiming to know the distribution of stress, strain, displacement as well as safety factor on bike tour chassis. The chassis was designed in Autodesk Inventor software and simulated using Autodesk Inventor software. Carbon steel and load of 120 kg, 150 kg and 180 kg was used as material for the chassis. The results of this research indicate that maximum stress at the main frame can reach around 47,86 N/m2 in simulation and 45,83 N/m2 by manual calculation. On the other hand, the maximum stress can reach 2079×10􀬿􀬸 mm/mmin simulation and 2,29×10􀬿􀬸 􀝉􀝉/􀝉􀝉 from manual calculation. The maximum displacement happened on the frame is around 0,4684 mm in simulation while in calculation it can reach around 0,528 . The maximum safety factor happened on the chasis is around 7,31 in simulation while in calculation it can reach around 7,63. Keyword: Bike tour chassis, simulation, autodesk inventor, distribution stress, strain,displacement, safety factor

Abstract

This damper material will raise awareness of the importance of reducing noise and the importance of utulizing waste products as a material that can be economically. This study aims to determine and amalyze the ability to dampen the sound of polyester composit with sawdust and fly ash mixture to the frequency of 1200 Hz, 1400 Hz and 1600 Hz. This eksperimental study was conducted with three different compositionvariations. The materials used are polyester resin, sawdust and fly ash. The data obtained is measured using a sound level meter. The result of this study showed that the material at a 70:20:10% volume fractionobtained the highest sound absorption coefficient value of 0,38248 dB with a frequency of 1600 Hz and for the lowest absorption coefficient value 0,11687 DB at volume fraction 60:30:10% with frequency 1200 Hz. The higher the value of sound absorption coefficient, the better the quality of the soundproofing material.Key word: Composite, resin polyester, sawdust, fly ash and NAC.

Abstract

Data potensi matahari dapat membantu dalam perancangan panel surya, alat pengering dan teknologi lain yang memanfaatan energi matahari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui intensitas radiasi total matahari tahunan dan rata-rata tiap bulan di Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. Metode yang digunakan adalah  pembuatan peta batas kabupaten dengan software google earth pro, kemudian berdasar peta batas tersebut  dibuat peta koordinat dengan menggunakan software QGIS, kemudian memilih koordinat  pada tiap kabupaten untuk menentukan intensitas radiasi matahari berdasarkan data yang diambil dari database online National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Data radiasi matahari yang diambil merupakan rata  rata radiasi selama 22 tahun dari Januari sampai Desember.  Lokasi yang dianalisis di Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara yaitu; Kabupaten Buton, Buton Utara, Konawe Selatan, Konawe, Kolaka Utara, dan Kota Kendari.  Hasil analisis menunjukkan intensitas radiasi matahari pada tiap Kabupaten yaitu:  intensitas rata-rata tiap bulannya  mempunyai pola yang berbeda,  yaitu maksimum pada bulan maret yaitu 228.8 W/m2 dan oktober 274.2 W/m2 terjadi pada kabupaten Buton.  Untuk nilai radiasi rata-rata maksimum 22 tahun terdapat pada Kabupaten buton  yaitu 228,7 W/m2 dan minimum pada Kabupaten Kolaka Utara yaitu 207,3. W/m2. Sementara kabupaten lain, Buton Utara: 21.1 W/m2 , Konawe Selatan 221.1 W/m2, Kendari 211.8 W/m2, Konawe 207.8 W/m2, Kolaka Utara 207.3 W/m2.

Abstract

Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PCE) are crucial for developing active, critical, and responsible citizens. Critical thinking is a key competency students should acquire through PCE. This study aims to analyse and evaluate the effectiveness of the Project Citizen learning model utilising a Scientific Approach in enhancing students' critical thinking skills. The long-term objective is to provide junior high school teachers with examples of innovative learning models applicable to all subjects and recommend to relevant agencies to implement the Project Citizen model in PCE to boost critical thinking abilities. This research focuses on creating effective learning models and frameworks for instilling character values in schools. Using a quantitative quasi-experimental design, the study's population consists of all Public Junior High School 3 Kendari students, with a sample drawn from two eighth-grade classes. Data collection involved attitude scale questionnaires, observations, and interviews. Statistical methods were used for quantitative data analysis, while qualitative data were analysed descriptively. The analysis included normality tests, homogeneity tests, comparisons of means, and calculations of normalised gains. Hypothesis testing revealed a significant difference in the effectiveness of the Project Citizen model based on the Scientific Approach compared to conventional teaching methods in improving critical thinking skills at Public Junior High School 3 Kendari.

Abstract

Tujuan diselenggarakannya Program Kemitraan Masyaakat Intenal UHO tentang Pembuatan Alat Penggilingan Jagung sebagai media untuk memberikan solusi sekaligus edukasi kepada masyarakat tentang Teknologi Tepat Guna (TTG). Peternakan merupakan sala satu sektor dalam pengembangan Agribisnis.Komoditas ternak yang banyak dikembangkan oleh masyarakat atau penduduk di Sulawesi Tenggara, adalah sapi,kerbau, kambing, kuda, ayam dan itik.Kabupaten Konawe selatan selain sebagai penghasil beras juga sebagai penghasil ternak salah satunya adalah peternakan itik yang terdapat di Desa Tetenggolasa . Melihat potensi yang dimiliki Kabupaten Konawe Selatan , sebagai bentuk pengabdian kepada masyarakat dalam melaksanakan Tridarma kami membantu mengatasi kendala peternak yaitu dalam pengolahan pakan.Dengan penerapan teknologi tepat Guna (TTG) kami membuat Alat penggilingan jagung yang dapat digunakan oleh peternak itik dan ayam dalam pengelohan pakan. . Metode pendekatan yang digunakan untuk merealisasikan program ini adalah Sosialisasi Pembuatan Alat penggilingan jagung dan sistem perawatannya , sehingga dalam pembuatan Alat penggiling jagung dapat berjalan secara efektif dan efisien dan hasil produksi yang diharapkan dapat tercapai

Abstract

Permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra atau petani nilam khususnya di Desa Aoma Kecamatan Wolasi Kabupaten Konawe Selatan Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara adalah belum tersedianya teknologi tepat guna dalam bentuk mesin pencacah nilam, masyarakat desa saat ini masih menggunakan alat manual atau tradisional seperti parang yang dimodifikasi untuk mencacah nilam, sehingga memerlukan waktu yang lama dan tenaga yang besar dalam pengolahannya. Permasalahan lain juga ditemukan bahwa pengetahuan masyarakat desa Aoma tentang teknologi tepat guna, baik dari segi desain mesin, cara pembuatan, pengoperasian, dan perawatan mesin yang sangat minim. Solusi yang diberikan pada kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah membuat mesin pencacah nilam dan selanjutnya melakukan pengenalan dan penyuluhan teknologi tepat guna alat pencacah nilam. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah desain dan pengenalan mesin pencacah nilam dan bimbingan teknis kepada mitra, sehingga petani atau masyarakat tidak lagi menggunakan alat manual untuk mencacah nilam, dengan mesin ini diharapkan petani dapat meningkatkan hasil produksi nilam yang siap untuk diproses ke penyulingan minyak nilam. Dengan adanya model mesin pencacah nilam dan bimbingan teknis maka harapan kedepannya masyarakat desa Aoma dapat meningkatkan produksi nilamnya dan menjadi masyarakat produktif secara ekonomi.

Abstract

Tire production in Indonesia is increasing continuously in line with the increasing automotive industry. Along with that, the waste of used tires that are not used in the environment is increasing. So we researched the use of used tire pyrolysis oil as an alternative fuel. The purpose of this study was to determine how to produce fuel oil through the pyrolysis process of used motorcycle tires and to determine the combustion characteristics of the pyrolysis results of motorcycle-used tires. The method used in this research is an experimental method using a pyrolysis tool and data collection is carried out directly with various temperature variations. The research was conducted at temperatures of 250oC, 300oC, and 350oC to produce 202 ml, 280 ml, and 219 ml of pyrolysis liquid, respectively. The pyrolysis oil combustion test produced shows that the burning of used tire pyrolysis oil takes longer than the burning of kerosene in the same volume. Keywords: Tires, pyrolysis, temperature

Abstract

Nowadays, fiberglass composites are widely applied to the construction that receives tension and bending loads. The purpose of this research is to know and analyze the mechanical properties of fiberglass by using different layers. In this research the manufacture of composites using hand-lay-up method. The manufacture of specimen for the tensile test refers to the standard ASTM D 638-02 and standard ASTM D 790-02 bending test. The method used in data analysis is graph data analysis to see the relationship between interconnected parameters and dependence on the size of the specimen 13 mm and the number of variations in the composition of the specimen mixture. The results showed that the composition of the mixture with the highest tensile voltage of 60.2719 N/mm2 was in the variation of 5 layers and the bending test with a value of 116.93 N/mm2. While the lowest tensile strength is 33.2882 N/mm2 and the lowest bending of 100.84 N/mm2 is found in the composition of variation 2 layers.Keywords: composite, fiberglass, polyester resin

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to design and analyze the influence of the number of Sudu on power and the resulting rounds of turbines. This research is done byexperimental methods of designing, making prototypes and testing. The models of wind turbines used are horizontal shaft wind turbines with a diameter of 30 cm with a number of 3, 4, 5, 6 Sudu. Variations in wind speed were given 3 m/s, 3.8 m/s and 4.6 m/s. The results showed that the highest value of 3.08% in the 6-Sudu wind turbinewith a wind speed given 4.6 m/s, whereas for the lowest value obtained 1.45% in a 3 sudu wind turbine with the given speed of wind 3 m/s. For a tip-speed value of λ =3.19 at wind speed of 4.6 m/s with a 6-Sudu turbine amount, while the lowest value of λ = 0.95 at wind speed of 3 m/s with a total of 3-Sudu turbine. Keywords: Design, turbine, ratio, sudu and power

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of flow rate (Q) on pressure drop (ΔP) and to find out how much pressure drop value (ΔP) and loss coefficient (k) occurred in valves. The method used is an experimental study, using a series of test  installations.  In  this  study  the  free  variables  used  were  the  flow  rate  that passes through the valve pipe, for bound variables are reynolds number (Re), loss coefficient (K) and pressure decrease (ΔP). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the greater the discharge of outflow (Q) the smaller the value of pressure reduction (ΔP) that occurs, and vice versa. The pressure drop value (ΔP) obtained at the valve opening was 16.6% for each point of ΔP1-2, ΔP1-3, ΔP1-4, ΔP1-5 of 18846.1 Pa; 19129.2 Pa; 20506.1 Pa; 20897.0 Pa. While the amount of friction coefficient value (hf) obtained at the valve opening is 99.6% for each point hf2, hf3, hf4, hf5 which is 0.188 mH2O; 0.263 mH2O; 0.338 mH2O; 0.414 mH2O. Keywords: Valve, Discharge, Head Loss, Pressure Drop
