Abstract

Abstract. Communication techniques are important for building effective communication between the parent community. Warm, familial communication plays a crucial role in building harmonious, supportive and trusting relationships among parents. Rumah Terapi Aura in Bandung City is one of the institutions that has been providing treatment for children with special needs since 2014, especially for the underprivileged. Rumah Terapi Aura uses a family communication strategy that creates comfort and trust between therapists, children, and parents. The purpose of this research is to find out the family communication in the vocational class parent community at Rumah Terapi Aura Bandung City. This research with DeVito's humanistic approach uses qualitative methods with a case study approach. The collection techniques used in this research are semi-structured interviews, non-participant observation, and documentation. The results of this study show that familial communication has proven successful in creating strong bonds between members. The familial strategies applied in the community of vocational parents of Aura Bandung Therapy House are equality, interacting with each other, telling stories, understanding experiences, not judging, humor, suppressing empathy, and motivating. Abstrak. Teknik komunikasi penting untuk membangun komunikasi yang efektif antara komunitas orang tua. Komunikasi yang hangat dan bersifat kekeluargaan memainkan peran krusial dalam membangun hubungan yang harmonis, saling mendukung, dan penuh kepercayaan di antara para orang tua. Rumah Terapi Aura di Kota Bandung merupakan salah satu lembaga yang memberikan penanganan bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus sejak tahun 2014, khususnya untuk kalangan pra-sejahtera. Rumah Terapi Aura menggunakan strategi komunikasi kekeluargaan yang menciptakan kenyamanan dan kepercayaan antara terapis, anak, dan orang tua. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui komunikasi kekeluargaan di komunitas orang tua kelas vokasi di Rumah Terapi Aura Kota Bandung. Penelitian dengan ancangan humanistik DeVito ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini yaitu wawancara semi terstruktur, observasi non participant, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan komunikasi kekeluargaan telah terbukti berhasil menciptakan ikatan yang kuat antara anggota. Strategi kekeluargaan yang diterapkan di komunitas orang tua kela vokasi Rumah Terapi Aura Bandung yaitu kesetaraan, saling berinteraksi, bercerita, memahami pengalaman, tidak menjudge, humoris, menekan rasa empati, dan memotivasi.

Abstract

This descriptive quantitative research aims to explore adolescents’ understanding of stressors arising from social media use, their self-actualization through social media, motivation for self-healing, and the role of spirituality and communication as a means to overcome stress. Primary data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 73 adolescents, while secondary data were obtained via interviews with psychologists, counseling teachers, and ustazds (religious teachers). The results indicate that (1) social media is not the primary stressor for adolescents; the most significant stressors were family problems (71.2%), academic challenges (60.3%), and parental demands (54.8%); (2) Generation Z shows limited interest in openly self-actualizing on social media; (3) 63.01% of respondents are motivated to seek self-healing information via social media; and (4) spirituality and communication serve as effective mediums for adolescents to manage and overcome stress

Abstract

Therapeutic communication basically aims to develop oneself and state of mind in order to lead to be more positive. This article is a qualitative research report that examines the role of narrative interaction and goodly model of parents as a form of therapeutic communication within Muslim families. The results have showed that storytelling and exemplary techniques in the sense of pleasant interpersonal communication can be used to foster the healing process and create a healthy lifestyle in the family. These techniques can keep children in a more positive state of mind, including through giving suggestions and strengthening Islamic spiritual values. This can be conducted by a clear understanding regarding the character of the child's communication, followed by seting the narrative technique and goodly model that parents must take.

Abstract

This study explores the motives and meaning of recitation as a form of spiritual communication for career women in the Bandung city hospital environment. This study uses a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods, including interviews and observations. The study results show that the meaning of recitation as a form of spiritual communication as a means. The meaning of recitation as a form of spiritual communication as an activity. This meaning is driven by two kinds of motives, namely learning motives and needs motives. Learning explanations emphasize the desire to seek knowledge, share experiences and understand religious issues. Meanwhile, the need motive emphasizes encouragement from within and outside the individual, such as the desire to live a more balanced life between the life of the world and the hereafter, the need for friends or socialization. The motives and meanings possessed by key informants are not entirely separate but have overlaps so that the findings of this study cannot be categorized as a single motive. The motives owned by career women lead them to an understanding that recitation is a means and activity to return to their God Almight.
