Abstract

This research aims to (1) produce a mathematics teaching module for class VII algebra material based on the independent curriculum that can improve the process, learning outcomes and students' love for the mathematics subject of algebra material, (2) be able to make students interested in learning mathematics, and (3) increase enthusiasm for learning and mastering the subjects you like, especially mathematics. The development model used in this research is adapting the ADDIE model, with stages (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, and (5) evaluation. The deployment stage was limited to the research location due to limited research time. The data analysis technique used is qualitative data analysis and quantitative data. From the research results, it is known that the development of an independent curriculum-based mathematics teaching module in class VII algebra material at SMP Ma'arif NU Darul Amin is valid and very good for improving learning outcomes. This is proven by the material expert validation results which obtained a score of 77.2%, including the feasible category, the media expert validation results obtained a score of 79.33%, including the appropriate category, the individual trial results obtained a score of 83.67%, including the very good category and the test results Trying a small group obtained a score of 87.33%, including the very good category

Abstract

The problem behind this research is the lack of student interest in learning and the results of grades in mathematics in class VII. Class VII students' interests and grades in mathematics subjects can be seen from students' understanding of mathematics subjects and internal and external factors. The objectives to be achieved in the research are (1) to determine students' interest in learning using the Realistic Mathematic Education learning method, and (2) to determine student learning outcomes when using the realistic mathematical education method. The type of research used in this research is qualitative research. The instruments used in this research were initial and final student interest questionnaires, interview guide sheets, and student test questions. Based on the research results, it can be seen that: (1) the lack of interest in learning and the results of grade VII students in mathematics subjects, namely that students are lazy and sleepy when learning mathematics and consider mathematics to be a boring lesson. (2) the cause of students' lack of interest is seen from the results of questionnaires and interviews, namely that students lack interest in mathematics due to internal and external factors. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that students' lack of interest in mathematics lessons can be seen from internal factors consisting of attention and willingness, while external factors consist of changes in the teacher's teaching methods

Abstract

Mayoritas guru matematika Sekolah Dasar (SD) di daerah Kecamatan Gucialit Kabupaten Lumajang memberikan materi matematika secara tradisional memanfaatkan buku teks sebagai sumber belajar. Padahal saat ini sudah memasuki jaman modern yakni jaman teknologi. Penggunaan teknologi seperti aplikasi Microsoft Powerpoint membuat tampilan bahan ajar lebih bagus, nyata, dan menarik. Sangat dibutuhkan kegiatan untuk meningkatkan soft skill guru dalam menguasai aplikasi Microsoft PowerPoint berbasis Visual Basic for Application (VBA) sehingga keterampilan mengintegrasikan teknologi dalam materi pembelajaran matematika juga meningkat. Pelaksanaan pengabdian ini menggunakan metode pelatihan dan pendampingan terhadap mitra pengabdian yaitu guru Sekolah Dasar (SD) yang ada di lingkungan Kecamatan Kucialit Kabupaten Kabupaten Lumajang pada semester gasal 2023/2024. Pelatihan dilaksanakan secara tatap muka (luring) dan pendampingan dilakukan secara langsung untuk mempraktikkan penggunaan Microsoft PowerPoint berbasis Visual Basic for Application (VBA). Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan penguasaan konsep "Microsoft PowerPoint sebagai media pembelajaran matematika digital" sebesar 85%, peningkatan penguasaan konsep tentang "Visual Basic for Application (VBA) sebagai aplikasi penunjang pembelajaran sebesar 80%, dan peningkatan profesionaliseme guru dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran matematika digital sebesar 82%. Tingginya peningkatan keterampilan dan pengetahuan ini perlu diimbangi dengan ketersediaan sarana dan prasarana yang dimiliki oleh sekolah khususnya guru, yang dalam hal ini bertindak sebagai pembuat atau penyalur media pembelajaran matematika digital tersebut. Selain itu, guru-guru juga mengharapkan adanya pelatihan lanjutan tentang asesmen berbasis digital dalam pembelajaran matematika di tingkat Sekolah Dasar (SD).

Abstract

The majority of elementary school, MI, MTs, MA teachers in Bago Village, Pasirian District, Lumajang Regency still provide material traditionally, namely using textbooks as learning resources. In fact, we have now entered the modern era, namely the era of technology. The use of technology such as digital applications makes the appearance of teaching materials better, more real, and more attractive. Activities are urgently needed to improve teachers' soft skills in mastering website-based learning space creation applications using Google Site so that the skills of integrating technology into learning materials also increase. The implementation of this community service uses training and mentoring methods for community service partners, namely elementary school, MI, MTs, MA teachers in Bago Village, Pasirian District, Lumajang Regency in the odd semester of 2024/2025. The training was carried out face-to-face (offline) and mentoring was carried out directly at SD Negeri Bago 3 to practice using the website-based Google Site. The results of the community service showed an increase in the mastery of the concept of "Creating a website-based student learning space" by 90%, an increase in the mastery of the concept of "Google site as a learning support application by 85%, and an increase in teacher professionalism in creating digital learning media by 87%. The high increase in skills and knowledge needs to be balanced with the availability of facilities and infrastructure owned by the school, especially teachers, who in this case act as makers or distributors of digital mathematics learning media. In addition, teachers also expect further training on digital-based assessments in learning at the elementary, MI, MTs, MA levels.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of the use of augmented Reality-based learning media (AR) in improving students ' understanding of abstract mathematical concepts. By utilizing AR and Unity3D Technology, students are provided with a more interactive and visual learning experience through 3D objects that enable a clearer understanding of concepts. The results showed that AR-based learning media is effective in helping students understand difficult math materials, increasing their motivation, and involvement in learning. In addition, positive perceptions from teachers and students regarding the use of AR were also revealed, where this medium is considered to be able to facilitate teaching and make students more interested and active in learning. However, the study also found some challenges, such as limited devices that can support AR applications optimally and difficulties in integrating AR with existing curricula. This research suggests further development in technology and infrastructure to improve the effectiveness of the use of AR-based learning media in the future.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran papan jari terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas I sekolah dasar, khususnya pada materi penjumlahan. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh terbatasnya pemanfaatan alat bantu konkret yang sesuai dengan perkembangan kognitif anak usia dini, sehingga menyulitkan pemahaman konsep bilangan. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain pre-eksperimental tipe one-group pretest–posttest. Sampel terdiri dari 22 siswa SDN Yosowilangun Kidul 01. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes pilihan ganda sebanyak 10 soal, divalidasi oleh ahli dan memiliki reliabilitas α = 0,83. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji Shapiro–Wilk dan uji t berpasangan; besarnya efek dihitung dengan rumus Cohen’s d. Hasil menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan antara skor pretest dan posttest (p < 0,001; d = 2,22), yang menunjukkan efek sangat kuat. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa media papan jari efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika dasar. Selain itu, media ini berpotensi menjadi alat bantu ajar kontekstual yang murah dan relevan, terutama di wilayah dengan keterbatasan akses teknologi digital.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan dan mengevaluasi media puzzle pecahan yang terintegrasi dengan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi (Higher Order Thinking Skills/HOTS) dalam pembelajaran matematika siswa kelas V SDN Pasirian 01. Latar belakang pengembangan ini adalah rendahnya pemahaman konsep pecahan dan belum optimalnya media pembelajaran yang mendukung pengembangan HOTS. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model 4D yang dibatasi hingga tahap Develop. Instrumen penelitian terdiri atas angket respons siswa dan tes hasil belajar berbasis HOTS yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli. Data dianalisis secara kuantitatif deskriptif menggunakan perhitungan skor persentase, analisis N-Gain, serta uji ketercapaian ketuntasan belajar. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa media tergolong sangat valid (86%), sangat praktis (93%), dan mendukung ketuntasan belajar sebesar 67%. Namun, rata-rata skor N-Gain hanya 0,30 yang termasuk kategori rendah, mengindikasikan efektivitas kognitif yang masih terbatas. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa media memiliki kelayakan penggunaan di kelas dan mendorong partisipasi aktif siswa, namun belum optimal dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Kebaruan dari penelitian ini terletak pada integrasi eksplisit indikator HOTS dalam desain manipulatif visual berupa puzzle pecahan. Studi lanjutan disarankan untuk menguji efektivitas media dalam konteks waktu pembelajaran yang lebih panjang, variasi kemampuan awal siswa, dan intervensi pendukung dari guru melalui strategi scaffolding.

Abstract

The majority of vocational mathematics teachers in Lumajang region provide mathematics materials traditionally using textbooks as learning resources. Whereas the fast development of technology can support the improvement of teachers' Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK). The use of technology such as Canva and Mathcitymap applications makes teaching materials look better, real, and more attractive. It was necessary to improve teachers' soft skills in mastering the Canva and Mathcitymap applications so that their skills in integrating technology in mathematics learning materials also increased. The implementation of this project uses training and mentoring methods for service partners, namely members of the MGMP of vocational mathematics teachers of Lumajang Regency in the odd semester of 2023/2024. Training was conducted online through zoom meetings and mentoring was carried out directly to selected teachers to practice the use of Canva and Mathcitymap. The results of the program showed an increase in mastery the concept of "Canva as an interactive math learning media" at 84.7%, an increase in mastery of the concept of "Mathcitymap" as a learning support application at 80.3%, and an increase in teachers' TPACK in making digital math learning media at 84%. This high increase in skills and knowledge needs to be balanced with the availability of digital facilities and infrastructure at school, which is the main obstacle faced by teachers at this time.
