Abstract

English is an international language that is very important in communicating, especially in the health sector. This implies that it is necessary to master English appropriately to respond to intensive interactions in every country, especially in the global era. Therefore, as the most widely spread international language, mastery of English is a must. In Indonesia, English is still seen as a luxury language. The reason why English is included as a subject in elementary schools, as a basis, is that English should be a necessity for students in their future, especially in the era of globalization. This Community Service (PkM) aims to educate the English language competencies needed by nursing students in learning English to prepare them to continue their health education and become nurses at an international level. The competencies needed by students and nurses will later be used for the future of students majoring in nursing at Baiturrahim Vocational School. This community service takes place at Baiturrahim Vocational School. This educational method uses the approach of providing materials and leaflets to students and teachers at Baiturrahim Jambi Vocational School which is located at Jalan H. Syamsoe Bachroen No. 32 RT. 04, Selamat District. Sipin Lake, Jambi City, Jambi Province. This series of service activities has started in September 2022 - March 2023. The results of this education include increasing students' knowledge about the ten main competencies that nursing students must master in order to function well in the nursing profession.

Abstract

Nyeri yang sering muncul di daerah punggung bawah tulang lumbal dikenal dengan nyeri punggung bawah. Salah satu teknik stretching yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan fungsi otot serta panjangnya adalah static stretching. Jenis peregangan ini dilakukan dengan perlahan dan dipertahankan selama otot teregang. Rasa nyeri punggung bawah dapat dikategorikan menjadi dua jenis yaitu nyeri spesifik terjadi Ketika penyebabnya diketahui, dan non spesifik terjadi Ketika nyeri tidak memiliki penyebab yang jelas atau karena mekanisme cidera. Metode latihan yang dikenal dengan core stability bertujuan menambah kekuatan dan stabilitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adakah beda pengaruh static stretching dan core stability pada nyeri punggung bawah pada pembatik di batik Bahri.  Studi ini menggunakan design pre expremental dengan design grup pre dan post test. Sampelnya diambil dengan menggunakan metode purpose sampling atau non random. Skala ukur yang dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu skala oswestry disability index (ODI). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan pengaruh pemberian static stretching dan core stability

Abstract

Community empowerment in informal worker groups is the Occupational Health Business Post (UKK), which is a preventive measure to protect workers so they live healthy lives and are free from health problems and bad influences caused by work. Based on information from occupational health program holders at the  Tahtul Yaman Public health center, in 2020 the “Kapal Sanggat” UKK Post was formed, but the form of activity is only general in nature and carried out based on patient needs. In 2023, the Kapal Sanggat UKK Post will carry out innovation in the form of services for musculoskeletal disorders for batik workers. This community service aims to optimize UKK Post services, increase cadres' knowledge about the health of batik workers. Problem solving solutions in this activity are realized by efforts to increase knowledge and understanding of the roles and functions of cadres. Method The activity was carried out by promoting health using counseling techniques and creating health promotion media in the form of leaflets and videos involving UKK postal cadres. The instruments used were pre-test and post-test sheets. Then analyzed using frequency distribution for pre-test and post-test scores. The output target produced in this community service activity is the publication of an accredited journal. The results achieved were the implementation of the UKK postal service and increased knowledge of cadres in implementing the "Kapal Sanggat" UKK Postal service.

Abstract

Abstrak: Desa Majelis Hidayah merupakan daerah pesisir, gangguan musculoskeletal sering dirasakan nelayan setelah melaut sepeti nyeri leher, punggung dan pinggng. Permasalahan Kelompok nelayan bidang produksi, manajemen, dan pemasaran, sementara kelompok PKK mengalami permasalahan terkait proses produksi serta aspek sosial kemasyarakatan. Kegiatan ini dirancang untuk mendorong kemandirian masyarakat melalui penguatan ekonomi biru, meningkatkan kualitas layanan Polindes, mengembangkan kemampuan pemasaran digital, serta menumbuhkan kreativitas dan inovasi UMKM. Dengan pendekatan ini, diharapkan masyarakat dapat tumbuh secara berkelanjutan baik dalam aspek ekonomi dan sosial. Metode yang dilaksanakan yaitu sosialisasi, pelatihan, praktik, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan dan evaluasi berkelanjutan dengan pemantauan proses dan hasil. Hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan pada kelompok nelayan: (1) nelayan sudah bisa melaut > 8 jam (71,4%), pendapatan perminggu 500 rb s/d 750 rb dengan pesentase 57,1 % dan > 750 rb sebanyak 1 orang (14,3%); (2) terbentuknya struktur organisasi; dan (3) pemanfaatan digital marketing. Kelompok PKK: (1) Pemahaman terhadap Jenis tangkap laut yag bisa diproduksi sebesar 70%; (2) Keterampialn pengolahan kletek, nugget dan bakso 100%; dan (3) pemanfaatak digital marketing.Abstract: Majelis Hidayah Village is a coastal area, musculoskeletal disorders are often felt by fishermen after going to sea such as neck, back and waist pain. The problems of the fishermen's group are in the fields of production, management, and marketing, while the PKK group experiences problems related to the production process and social aspects of society. This activity is designed to encourage community independence through strengthening the blue economy, improving the quality of Polindes services, developing digital marketing capabilities, and fostering creativity and innovation of MSMEs. With this approach, it is hoped that the community can grow sustainably both in economic and social aspects. The methods implemented are socialization, training, practice, application of technology, mentoring and continuous evaluation with monitoring of processes and results. The results of the implementation of activities in the fishermen's group: (1) fishermen can go to sea for > 8 hours (71.4%), weekly income of 500 thousand to 750 thousand with a percentage of 57.1% and > 750 thousand as many as 1 person (14.3%); (2) the formation of an organizational structure; and (3) utilization of digital marketing. PKK Group: (1) Understanding of the types of marine catch that can be produced by 70%; (2) Skills in processing kletek, nuggets and meatballs 100%; and (3) Utilization of digital marketing.
