Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of professionalism, work discipline, work motivation, and organizational communication on the performance of employees of the Gunung Ciremai National Park Office (BTNGC). The method used is quantitative with a causal associative approach, involving 75 employees as a population taken as a sample. Linear regression analysis is used to test the hypothesis. The results of the study indicate that partially, professionalism, work discipline, work motivation, and organizational communication have a positive and significant effect on the performance of BTNGC employees. In addition, simultaneously, the four variables have a significant effect on employee performance, with a contribution of 47.0%. This study concludes that improving these aspects can improve employee performance at BTNGC.   ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh profesionalisme, disiplin kerja, motivasi kerja, dan komunikasi organisasi terhadap kinerja pegawai Balai Taman Nasional Gunung Ciremai (BTNGC). Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan asosiatif kausal, melibatkan 75 pegawai sebagai populasi yang diambil sebagai sampel. Analisis regresi linear digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial, profesionalisme, disiplin kerja, motivasi kerja, dan komunikasi organisasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai BTNGC. Selain itu, secara simultan, keempat variabel tersebut berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, dengan kontribusi sebesar 47,0%. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa peningkatan aspek-aspek tersebut dapat meningkatkan kinerja pegawai di BTNGC.

Abstract

Purpose: This conceptual study aims to develop a theoretical model explaining how employee well-being affects organizational performance through the Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) model, particularly in the retail sector, characterized by long working hours, intensive customer interactions, and high-performance pressure Research Methodology: A narrative literature review was conducted on 38 studies related to well-being, job stress, and employee performance in the retail sector (2010–2024). The study integrates the concept of well-being with the JD-R theory to construct a conceptual framework. Results: The findings show that job demands, such as workload and role conflict, negatively impact well-being, while job resources, such as organizational support, supervisor support, and work-life balance, serve as buffers that protect employee well-being. Good employee well-being leads to improved individual and organizational performance. Limitations: This study is conceptual, and further empirical validation is needed. The focus is primarily on operational employees, with limited exploration of middle management or other retail sectors Contribution: The study contributes by proposing an integrative model that positions well-being as a strategic foundation in modern retail management. Practical implications include the need for human-centered HR policies and the regular measurement of employee well-being.

Abstract

Purpose of the study — The purpose of this study was to measure the effect of supervision and awareness of taxpayers on increasing local tax revenues and their impact on taxpayer compliance in the West Region Tax UPTD, Cirebon Regency Regional Revenue Management Agency.Research method— This study uses a quantitative approach to the variables of supervision and awareness of taxpayers, while the research instrument is in the form of a questionnaire with a path analysis approachResult— The results obtained: 1) simultaneously supervision and awareness of taxpayers, 2) partially: supervision, and 3) taxpayer awareness has a significant effect on increasing local tax revenues, 4) direct supervision has a significant effect on taxpayer compliance by (0.259) 2 X 100% = 0.010, meaning that the level of taxpayer compliance is not influenced by supervision of 0.010 while the remaining 0.090 is influenced by other factors. The direct effect of taxpayer awareness on taxpayer compliance is (0.786)2 X 100% = 0.617, meaning that the level of taxpayer compliance is influenced by taxpayer awareness of 0.083, the remaining 32.3% is influenced by other factors, 5) directly increases tax revenue area has a significant effect on taxpayer compliance by (0.144)2 X 100% = 0.020, meaning that the level of taxpayer compliance is influenced by an increase in local tax revenue of 0.020 or 20% while the remaining 80% is influenced by other factors.Conclusion— Taxpayers need to be aware of their obligations in paying taxes by understanding the taxes paid for the purposes of community and state development. Because so far knowledge of the allocation of taxes paid is considered not right on target, so there needs to be better socialization.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the competence of the test personnel on the frequency of vehicle tests and their impact on vehicle owner compliance in the Technical Service Unit (UPT) of Cirebon City Motorized Vehicle Testers. This study uses regression analysis and mediation test to examine the effect of the competency variables of the test personnel and the frequency of vehicle testing on vehicle owner compliance. Data were taken from vehicle test records and interviews with vehicle owners as many as 98 respondents. The results of the analysis show that the frequency of vehicle testing has a significant effect on vehicle owner compliance, while the direct effect of the competence of test personnel on vehicle owner compliance is not significant. However, it was found that there was mediation by the frequency of vehicle tests on the effect of the competence of the test personnel on vehicle owner compliance. These findings indicate that the important role of vehicle test frequency in mediating the relationship between the competence of test personnel and vehicle owner compliance. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis Kompetensi Tenaga Penguji Terhadap Frekuensi Uji Kendaraan Dan Dampaknya Terhadap Kepatuhan Pemilik Kendaraan di Unit Pelayanan Teknis (UPT) Penguji Kendaraan Bermotor Kota Cirebon. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi dan uji mediasi untuk menguji pengaruh variabel kompetensi tenaga penguji dan frekuensi uji kendaraan terhadap kepatuhan pemilik kendaraan. Data diambil dari catatan uji kendaraan dan wawancara dengan pemilik kendaraan sebanyak 98 responden. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa frekuensi uji kendaraan memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kepatuhan pemilik kendaraan, sedangkan pengaruh langsung kompetensi tenaga penguji terhadap kepatuhan pemilik kendaraan tidak signifikan. Namun, ditemukan adanya mediasi oleh frekuensi uji kendaraan terhadap pengaruh kompetensi tenaga penguji terhadap kepatuhan pemilik kendaraan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa peran penting frekuensi uji kendaraan dalam memediasi hubungan antara kompetensi tenaga penguji dan kepatuhan pemilik kendaraan.

Abstract

Purpose: Digital technology reshapes economics and management by enabling faster, data-driven strategic decisions. Companies must adapt to complex market dynamics with innovative, efficient systems. The integration of economics, management, and strategic decision-making strengthens organizational resilience, competitiveness, and sustainability in navigating the challenges of the modern digital era. Research Methodology: Through a managerial economics theoretical approach and case studies of digital companies, this study demonstrates that data- and technology-driven decision-making can improve operational efficiency, innovation, and company competitiveness. Results: This research shows that digital technology significantly influences managerial economics and strategic decisions. Data has become a key strategic asset guiding organizational direction. Companies that utilize big data analytics, artificial intelligence, and ERP systems gain stronger competitive advantages and make faster, more accurate decisions in the digital era. Conclusions: In the digital era, economic management relies heavily on technology and data for strategic decisions. Speed, accuracy, and adaptability determine success. Organizations that integrate digital innovation become more competitive, efficient, and responsive to market change. Thus, digital literacy and transformational leadership are essential in modern management. Limitations: This study has limitations, including a narrow focus on digitalized companies, which may not represent all MSMEs. The descriptive use of secondary data cannot fully explain causal relationships. Rapid technological change also challenges the study’s relevance, as evolving trends may quickly reduce the accuracy of its findings. Contribution: This research offers guidance for managers in integrating information technology to enhance decision effectiveness and competitiveness. It also provides a foundation for future studies exploring how digital transformation influences decision-making across different industrial sectors.

Abstract

Effective and productive teams are key factors for success in organizations. This study aims to develop a conceptual model that links leadership practices with team members' energy and attitudes, and how these influence team performance. Based on a systematic literature review of 25 core studies, this research identifies five main themes explaining how specific leadership practices can enhance team members' energy and shape positive attitudes. The findings support Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) and Self-Determination Theory (SDT), showing that autonomy, career development, feedback, transparency, trust, and health interventions significantly influence increased work engagement, creativity, and team performance. This study proposes ten propositions for future research to further explore the relationships between leadership practices and team outcomes. Practical implications for managers and organizational leaders are provided to improve team engagement and performance by better managing members' energy and attitudes. ABSTRAK Tim yang efektif dan produktif merupakan faktor kunci kesuksesan dalam organisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model konseptual yang menghubungkan praktik kepemimpinan dengan energi dan sikap anggota tim, serta bagaimana keduanya memengaruhi kinerja tim. Berdasarkan tinjauan literatur sistematis yang mencakup 25 studi inti, penelitian ini menemukan lima tema utama yang menjelaskan bagaimana praktik kepemimpinan tertentu dapat meningkatkan energi anggota tim dan membentuk sikap positif. Temuan ini mendukung teori Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) dan Self-Determination Theory (SDT), yang menunjukkan bahwa otonomi, pengembangan karier, umpan balik, transparansi, trust, dan kesehatan memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan work engagement, kreativitas, dan kinerja tim. Penelitian ini mengusulkan sepuluh proposisi yang dapat diuji lebih lanjut dalam penelitian mendatang untuk mengeksplorasi hubungan lebih lanjut antara praktik kepemimpinan dan hasil tim. Implikasi praktis bagi manajer dan pemimpin organisasi diberikan untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan dan kinerja tim melalui pengelolaan energi dan sikap anggota tim yang lebih baik.

Abstract

Purpose — To determine the effect of customer service quality on customer decision to use bank plan savings of Bank Mandiri Cirebon Siliwangi branch.Research method — This study used a quantitative approach with a simple linear regression analysis technique. The research data is processed by statistical software. Samples in this study were 91 respondents with probability sampling using a simple random sample technique.Result — The findings indicated that customer service quality has a significant influence to customer decision in using bank plan savings of Bank Mandiri Cirebon Siliwangi Branch. In addition, this study also discovered that customer service quality has a contribution of 27.8% to the customer's decision to use the bank product, while the remaining 72.7% is influenced by other factors which is not examined by the author.
