Abstract

A cell partition is expected to reduce the inter-cell interference, increasing capacity and optimize the frequency spectrum allocation. The purpose of cell partition is to increase the capacity of inner cell which have lower power and different frequency to outer cell. This paper shows how generous the capacity increased after the partition has been done. The calculation of MAPL and the link budget have been done have been done as well. The propagation model of Walfisch-Ikegami has been used in the paper. As the result, It has been found that the site capacity was increased, therefore the order of blocking can be reduced. The cell partition is appropriate for the area with high-level of traffic.

Abstract

Electronic administration system is one of the best solutions in the current digital era, electronic-based systems are considered to make it easier for an organization to process data and can reduce the possibility of data loss due to human error or natural disasters. The current administrative data management application is called the Electronic Office (E-Office). The E-Office handles data for  incoming mail, outgoing mail and mail disposition. There are frequent delays in receiving information and validating letter files that are still carried out using physical files, so the mobile e-office is a solution that can be used by an agency to make it easier  for workers to access information more quickly and can be done anywhere. Data security is an important thing that needs to be considered in an electronic transaction, so this research will add data security to the mobile e-office using sha-256 and lamport schemes. We present data on the results of this mobile e-office test on mobile devices and virtual private servers (vps), the data is in the form of functional application performance testing results and records of processing time performed by mobile and vps devices. From this  data an analysis will be carried out to determine the appropriateness of the devices that can be used in running a mobile e-office.

Abstract

Abstract

The uncrewed Aerial Vehicle (UAV) operation is currently dominated by autonomous technology (autopilot) rather than manual control via remote control. During flying the mission autonomously, communication between the UAV and the Ground Control Station (GCS) must be in good and stable conditions. The GCS can well receive the telemetry data and payload sensor data carried by the vehicle. Conversely, any inconsistency parameters can be corrected by the GCS before transmitted to the UAV. Therefore, the role of the antenna is crucial to avoid signal loss during the communication process. This study focuses on GCS’s antenna. By designing the Yagi type antenna with the optimization of the distance, the number of directors, material, and shape of the reflector through CST simulation. The best option chosen is the Yagi antenna with the same distance between directors, seven directors, copper material, and flat reflectors with a VSWR of 1.1134, return loss -25.411 dB and 10.7 dB of gain. The measurement result after fabrication is the VSWR of 2.165 and the return loss of -8.677 dB. The antenna test results, when the UAV was flown as far as 2.5 km, found that the signal strength received by the GCS is -70.68 dBm with RSSI 107, and the signal strength in percent is 96%.

Abstract

Covid-19 was first reported in Indonesia in March 2020. A month later the confirmed cases had reached 1528 cases and the death toll was 136 cases. Distance restrictions, also known as physical and social distance, are one of the government's efforts to reduce the rate of increase in the number of positive Covid-19 patients. However, this policy is still not fully effective, due to the low level of community compliance. When personal awareness has not been awakened, the use of technology in the context of early warning to maintain distance is an effective solution. This article discusses the use of received signal strength indicator (RSSI) from the Wemos D1 Mini module as a model of an early warning system device to anticipate unsafe distances when someone is in a crowd. The use of RSSI in this study shows that the device made works well, where the alarm is active when the distance between devices is 1 meter. The system performance was analyzed by calculating and measuring the average RSSI error value of -34.46 dBm and the average distance error of 0.26 meters. Overall, the early warning system using this method can be used properly to estimate physical distance restrictions during a pandemic.

Abstract

Load balancing is one of the mechanism used in the self-organization network (SON) to balance the traffic at the overloaded base station with the adjacent low-loaded base station. Load balancing is done by adjusting the handover parameters (metric) to obtain the optimal traffic balance. In this work, the adjusted parameters are the capacity of the cell. Cell capacity is strongly influenced by the bandwidth, modulation type, and the bit rate used by the user. The performance of load balancing was tested by a simulation and network test-bed measurement. The testing results on the Long-Term Evolution Advanced network showed the greater the bandwidth the greater the capacity of the cell. Moreover, the larger type of modulation, the cell capacity will also be greater. On the other hand, the greater bit rate used by the user, then the cell capacity will decrease. The calculation analysis of cell capacity is taken as the basic operation for load balancing procedure. A load balancing process algorithm is introduced to describe the mentioned procedure. The algorithm also considers the ping-pong effect that might occur due to the delay on the handover process.
