Abstract

This study focuses on the relationship between telecommuting work with performance, job satisfaction, and work-life balance. This research is important because the telecommuting policy has been taken by many institutions considering the advantages of this policy are very efficient, such as reducing costs, time, and space. This study aims to provide an overview of the extent to which the impact of telecommunications works on the behavior of workers, especially workers in a university environment. Using descriptive research methods, this research used online questionnaires distributed to 174 lecturers at Syiah Kuala University. The data was analysed using SEM AMOS to see and test the relationship between variables. The results showed that telecommuting work showed a positive and significant relationship to job satisfaction, work-life balance, and performance. Likewise, the relationship between work-life balance, satisfaction, and performance showed positive and significant results. Finally, work-life balance and job satisfaction mediate the relationship between telecommuting work and performance. Abstract

The resistance to Covid-19 vaccination is not solely the community's fault. Educating the public on the importance of vaccination and the prevention of hoax information would contribute to the need for exemplary implementation of vaccination programs in Aceh Province. Insufficient information regarding vaccination to the public has caused many people to refuse vaccination. This study aims to evaluate the health promotion strategy of the Aceh Provincial Health Office in the implementation of Covid-19 vaccination in Aceh through Lawrence Green's (1984) behavioral theory. This qualitative research was conducted by observing and interviewing six Aceh Provincial Health Office informants and analyzing relevant documents. The results of the study indicate that there are factors in the health promotion strategy that shape people's acceptance toward Covid-19 vaccination; (1) including predisposing factors through providing information, forming attitudes and values "‹"‹of beliefs about vaccination in various media platforms; (2) enabling factors through the availability of facilities, medicines, and health workers; and (3) reinforcing factors which manifested in the formation of the supports from community leaders and the availability of policies that support Covid-19 vaccination. The study suggests improving these factors to gain positive responses from the public toward the Covid-19 vaccination program.

Abstract

Emotional mental disorders in adolescents are still an unresolved problem in Indonesia. This study intends to determine the effect of social media addiction on mental and emotional disorders in adolescents. The theoretical basis used is the theory of media dependence with a quantitative survey method approach. The data was processed using the IBM SPSS 25 program using the F and T tests. The results of the F test showed that F count (92.79) F table (3.87), so that simultaneously, the variable X has a significant effect on mental and emotional disorders (Y). The results of the T test show that addiction to social media (X1) has a t count (9.63) t table (1.968), so it has a significant effect on emotional and mental disorders. The results of the R Square test show that the adjusted R Square value is 0.241 (24%), meaning social media addiction affects mental and emotional disorders by 24% while the remaining 76% is explained by other variables.AbstrakGangguan mental emosional pada remaja masih menjadi permasalahan yang belum terselesaikan di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bermaksud mengetahui pengaruh kecanduan media sosial terhadap gangguan mental emosional pada remaja. Landasan teori yang digunakan yaitu teori ketergantungan media dengan pendekatan kuantitatif metode survei. Data diolah menggunakan program IBM SPSS 25 menggunakan Uji F dan uji T. Hasil Uji F menunjukkan bahwa F hitung (92,79) F tabel (3,87), sehingga secara simultan variabel X memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap gangguan mental emosional (Y). Hasil uji T menunjukkan bahwa kecanduan media sosial (X1) memiliki nilai t hitung (9,63) t tabel (1,968) sehingga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap gangguan mental emosional. Hasil uji R Square menunjukkan nilai adjusted R Square 0,241 (24%) berarti kecanduan media sosial mempengaruhi gangguan mental emosional sebesar 24% sedangkan sisa 76% dijelaskan oleh variabel lain.

Abstract

Objective This study is intended to see the relationship among three variables namely work from home, work life balance, and job satisfaction particularly during COVID-19 pandemic.Design/methodology The research is a descriptive research method. Using online ques-tionnaire, a total of 150 higher education lecturers in Universitas Syiah Kuala, Aceh, Indonesia participated in the survey. The survey was conducted in December 2020. The data was ana-lyzed using SPSS.Results This research revealed that there is a significant relationship between work from home and job satisfaction during COVID-19 outbreak in higher education lecturers, with the intervening variable of Work-Life balance also shows a significant impact toward job satisfac-tion.Research limitations/implications This study has some limitation namely the small amount of data sample and focus only in one sector of sample participants (higher edu-cation lecturers), also this study only exercise three variables, meanwhile it is important to seek both personal and social factors such as person personality, behavior tendency, etc.Novelty/Originality This study covers the impact of COVID-19 pandemic towards job related issues in the university context with participants mainly the lectures.
