Abstract

Early adulthood is one of the crucial moments of an individual’s life since it marks a person’s thinking seriously regarding the future, especially in careers. An individual will firstly make a series of career decisions before choosing a career. Self-efficacy is the best predictor of students’ academic and social integration. This study used a quantitative method with a descriptive analysis approach to describe and identify the status of career decision-making self-efficacy students in preparing for career decisions. Participants of the current study were 196 students from different backgrounds such as genders, choice of majors, domiciles, and types of accommodation. Participants were selected using a simple random sampling technique. The instrument used is Career Decision Self Efficacy. The findings revealed that 70.9 % of the students are in a high level of Career Decision Self Efficacy (M= 98.9), and there were no differences in Career Decision Self Efficacy among students reviewed based on genders, and choice of majors, domiciles, and types of accommodations.

Abstract

Abstract Social support is an exchange of resources between two individuals that are felt byboth the giver and the recipient with the aim of improving the welfare of the recipient. The social support received by entrepreneurs will certainly affect the smooth running of the business being run. One of the biggest fears that are owned by entrepreneurs, especially foodpreneurs, is fear of failure. The research objective was to determine the relationship between social support and fear of failure in foodpreneurs. The measuring instruments used in this study were the Multidimensional Scale Of Perceived Social Support (α = 0.81) and The Performance Failure Appraisal Inventory (α = 0.87). The sample was obtained by using quota sampling technique with the criteria of entrepreneurs in the culinary field aged 18-34 years, having their own culinary business with a total sample of 342 people. The analysis results showed that there was a negative relationship between social support and fear of failure in foodpreneurs. So the higher the social support, the lower the fear of failure. Likewise, on the other hand, the lower the social support, the higher the fear of failure. AbstrakDukungan sosial merupakan pertukaran sumber daya antara dua individu yangdirasakan oleh pemberi maupun penerima dengan tujuan meningkatkan  kesejahteraan bagi penerima. Dukungan sosial yang diterima oleh para pengusaha tentunya akan memengaruhi kelancaran dari usaha yang dijalankan. Salah satu ketakutan terbesar yang dimiliki oleh pengusaha terutama foodpreneur yaitu ketakutan akan kegagalan atau fear of failure. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dukungan sosial dengan fear of failure pada foodpreneur. Alat ukur yang digunakan penelitian ini adalah Multidimensional Scale Of Perceived Social Support (α=0,81) dan The Performance Failure Appraisal Inventory (α=0,87). Perolehan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik quota sampling dengan kriteria pengusaha dalam bidang kuliner yang berumur 18-34 tahun, memiliki usaha kuliner sendiri dengan total sampel sebanyak 342 orang. Hasil analisa menunjukkan ada hubungan negatif antara dukungan sosial dengan fear of failure pada foodpreneur. Jadi semakin tinggi dukungan sosial maka semakin rendah fear of failure. Begitu juga sebaliknya bahwa semakin rendah dukungan sosial maka semakin tinggi fear of failure.

Abstract

Abstract High entrepreneurial motivation comes from intrinsic and extrinsic. Emotional intelligence is one of the abilities needed to achieve success in all fields, can be a supporter of intrinsic motivation. Parental behavior is a form of extrinsic motivation needed by individuals in career development. Quantitative research method with multivariate correlation type, respondent sample is 263 Unsyiah final students. The sample was selected by simple random sampling technique. Data collection with Motivation to start a business scale, Emotional intelligence scale, Parent career behavior checklist. The results of the study explain that the main hypothesis is accepted, the value of sig is 0.000 0.05, it means that there is a relationship between the independent and dependent variables. The research findings found that emotional intelligence and parental behavior had an effective impact of 18.8% on student entrepreneurial motivation. The results also found that there was no relationship between parental behavior and entrepreneurial motivation. Due to the behavior of parents towards the world of children's careers, it tends to be low, while the motivation of Unsyiah final students tends to be high.AbstrakMotivasi wirausaha yang tinggi berasal dari intrinsik dan eksrinsik. Kecerdasan emosional ialah salah satu kemampuan yang diperlukan guna mencapai kesuksesan di segala bidang, dapat menjadi pendukung motivasi intrinsik. Perilaku orang tua adalah bentuk motivasi ekstrinsik yang dibutuhkan individu dalam pengembangan karir. Metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis korelasi multivariat, sampel responden 263 mahasiswa akhir Unsyiah. Sampel dipilih dengan teknik simple random sampling. Pengumpulan data dengan skala Motivation to start a business, Emotional intelligence scale, Parent career behavior checklist. Hasil penelitian memaparkan hipotesis utama diterima, nilai sig 0,0000,05, bermakna ada hubungan antara variabel independent dengan dependent. Hasil temuan penelitian menemukan kecerdasan emosional dan perilaku orang tua memberikan dampak efektif 18,8% terhadap motivasi wirausaha mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian juga menemukan bahwa tidak adanya hubungan antara perilaku orang tua dengan motivasi wirausaha. Dikarenakan perilaku orang tua terhadap dunia karir anak cenderung rendah, sedangkan motivasi mahasiswa akhir Unsyiah cenderung tinggi.

Abstract

AbstrakPerkuliahan daring yang dilakukan karena pandemi Covid-19 menyebabkan adanya temuan konflik dan rasa tidak percaya yang dialami oleh mahasiswa baru di salah satu Fakultas di Aceh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas intervensi team building dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan interpersonal antar anggota kelompok. Penelitian ini merupakan studi eksperimen sederhana satu kelompok studi sebelum dan sesudah tes (pre-experimental one group pre post study). Intervesi team building yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini berupa intervensi dalam jaringan (virtual). Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 13 mahasiswa baru. Subjek diberikan pengukuran melalui skala kepercayaan interpersonal sebelum dan setelah selesai intervensi dilakukan. Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan bahwa intervensi yang dilakukan memberikan pengaruh terhadap kepercayaan interpersonal anggota kelompok. Terdapat peningkatan kepercayaan interpersonal anggota kelompok setelah diberi intervensi. Meskipun diberikan secara virtual, perubahan yang signifikan ini dapat disebabkan oleh pengalaman virtual memberikan hal yang lebih berkesan sehingga membuat mahasiswa lebih engaged dengan kelompoknya. Studi pre-experimental ini dapat dijadikan landasan untuk melihat pengaruh intervensi team building terhadap kepercayaan interpersonal melalui studi eksperimen murni. Mengingat perkembangan teknologi yang begitu pesat, berdasarkan hasil studi ini juga dapat dikembangkan berbagai intervensi psikologis lainnya yang berbasis internet (virtual). Kata Kunci: Intervensi, Kepercayaan Interpersonal, Team Building Metode Daring   AbstractOnline lectures due to the Covid-19 pandemic led to findings of conflict and distrust experienced by new students at one of the faculties in Aceh. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of team building interventions in increasing interpersonal trust among group members. This study was a simple experimental study of one study group (pre-experimental one group pre post study). The team building intervention was a network intervention (virtual). The subjects consisted of 13 new students. Subjects were given measurements through the interpersonal trust scale before and after the intervention was completed. The measurement results showed that the intervention has an influence on the interpersonal trust of group members. There is an increase in interpersonal trust of group members after being given the intervention. Even though it was delivered virtually, this significant change could be caused by the virtual experience providing a more memorable thing that made students more engaged with their group. This pre-experimental study can be used as a reference to evaluate the effect of team building intervention on interpersonal trust by conducting a pure experimental study. Given the rapid development of technology, based on the results of this study, various other internet-based psychological interventions (virtual) can also be developed. Keywords: Intervention, Interpersonal Trust Virtual Team Building

Abstract

The role of a teacher encompasses many tasks, which can sometimes diminish the significance of their work and ultimately affect their performance and the quality of education they provide. To enhance the meaningfulness of their work, teachers can engage in job crafting, which involves proactively balancing task demands with available resources. This study aims to explore the correlation between job crafting and work meaningfulness among secondary school teachers in Banda Aceh. The study surveyed 273 secondary school teachers in Banda Aceh who had at least 10 years of work experience, selected through convenience sampling. The study employed quantitative methods with a correlational approach. The findings revealed a positive and significant relationship between job crafting and work meaningfulness. By engaging in job crafting, teachers can customize their work to their preferences and increase their sense of work meaningfulness. This, in turn, can have a positive impact on their performance and the quality of education they provide.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh perubahan iklim psikologis terhadap kesiapan perubahan karyawan. Kesiapan perubahan karyawan diukur melalui aspek kognitif, emosional, dan intensi. Perubahan iklim psikologis dilihat melalui kepercayaan pada manajemen puncak, kualitas komunikasi tentang perubahan, partisipasi dalam pengambilan keputusan, dan sejarah tentang perubahan. Alat ukur pada penelitian ini menggunakan pengukuran kesiapan perubahan karyawan dan pengukuran perubahan iklim psikologis oleh Bouckenooghe dan Devos (2007). Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif, melalui analisis regresi. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 150 responden dengan laki-laki 109 responden, perempuan 41 responden, dan rata-rata responden berumur 31 tahun. Penelitian ini menghasilkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan pada perubahan iklim psikologis terhadap kesiapan perubahan karyawan (r2=0.328, p=0.000), di mana partisipasi dalam pengambilan keputusan menjadi satu-satunya aspek yang berpengaruh terhadap kesiapan perubahan karyawan (ip=0.000).

Abstract

Keterikatan karyawan menjadi penting bagi sebuah perusahaan karena dengan adanya rasa keterikatan yang tinggi, karyawan akan meningkatkan kinerjanya menjadi lebih produktif, sehingga mampu menaikkan profitabilitas perusahaan. Hal yang mendorong karyawan memiliki rasa keterikatan yang tinggi terhadap pekerjaannya adalah dengan mempersepsikan adanya keadilan organisasi yang dirasakan karyawan dalam perusahaan tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara keadilan organisasi dengan keterikatan karyawan pada karyawan tetap PT. X Lhokseumawe. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan melibatkan 55 karyawan tetap PT. X Lhokseumawe menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan adaptasi Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) (α=0,937), dan adaptasi Organizational Justice Survey (OJS) (α=0,945). Analisis data menggunakan teknik korelasi Spearman yang memperlihatkan nilai r=0,554. Hasil ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara keadilan organisasi dan keterikatan karyawan pada karyawan tetap PT. X Lhokseumawe.

Abstract

Dosen selaku tenaga pendidik profesional dituntut untuk senantiasa melakukan pengembangan karier secara terus-menerus hingga mendapat jabatan tertinggi sesuai dengan komitmennya. Oleh karena itu komitmen karier pada dosen memiliki makna sebagai keteguhan atau ketekunan dosen dalam menjalankan kariernya selama bekerja. Perguruan tinggi akan lebih maju jika seluruh dosennya memiliki komitmen karier yang tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan komitmen karier dosen ditinjau dari jenis kelamin. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu dosen di Universitas X. Sampel dipilih dengan teknik purposif dan diperoleh sebanyak 222 orang dosen (111 laki-laki dan 111 perempuan) yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini. Data penelitian dikumpulkan menggunakan skala The Commitment Career Measure (CCM) yang disusun oleh Carson dan Bedeian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat komitmen karier pada dosen di Universitas X mayoritas termasuk pada kategori tinggi. Sementara analisis data menggunakan uji-t menunjukkan nilai signifikansi (p)=0,395 (p0.05). Berdasarkan skor tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan komitmen karier dosen Universitas X ditinjau dari jenis kelamin. Penyebab tidak ditemukan adanya perbedaan tersebut dapat dipengaruhi oleh faktor motivasi yang berlaku sama baik pada laki-laki maupun perempuan, serta kebijakan netral dalam suatu lembaga pendidikan yang tidak dapat ditentukan berdasarkan jenis kelamin.

Abstract

This study focuses on the relationship between telecommuting work with performance, job satisfaction, and work-life balance. This research is important because the telecommuting policy has been taken by many institutions considering the advantages of this policy are very efficient, such as reducing costs, time, and space. This study aims to provide an overview of the extent to which the impact of telecommunications works on the behavior of workers, especially workers in a university environment. Using descriptive research methods, this research used online questionnaires distributed to 174 lecturers at Syiah Kuala University. The data was analysed using SEM AMOS to see and test the relationship between variables. The results showed that telecommuting work showed a positive and significant relationship to job satisfaction, work-life balance, and performance. Likewise, the relationship between work-life balance, satisfaction, and performance showed positive and significant results. Finally, work-life balance and job satisfaction mediate the relationship between telecommuting work and performance. Abstract

Wartawan seringkali berhadapan dengan berbagai tantangan dan risiko ketika melakukan kegiatan jurnalistik sehingga memerlukan kemampuan resiliensi untuk dapat bertahan. Salah satu faktor untuk mengembangkan resiliensi adalah kekuatan karakter. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran kekuatan karakter terhadap resiliensi wartawan di Aceh. Sejumlah 168 wartawan yang tergabung dalam Persatuan Wartawan Indonesia (PWI) Aceh menjadi subjek penelitian melalui metode total sampling. Penelitian menggunakan alat ukur Connor Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) 25 yang diadaptasi dari Ramadhan (2018) dan Virtues in Action (VIA) 72 Scale-short dari VIA Institut. Analisis data menggunakan simple linear regression analysis dengan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kekuatan karakter memiliki peran yang signifikan terhadap resiliensi wartawan (R2 = .367, β1 = .781, p = .000; ≤.05). Kekuatan karakter yang berperan signifikan terhadap resiliensi yaitu curiosity, social intelligence, dan hope. Selain itu, kekuatan karakter dominan yang dimiliki wartawan Aceh yaitu hope, forgiveness, dan appreciation of beauty and excellent. Journalists are often faced with various challenges and risks when carrying out journalistic activities, so they need resilience skills to survive. One factor in developing resilience is character strength. This study aims to determine the role of character strength in the resilience of journalists in Aceh. A total of 168 journalists who were members of the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) in Aceh were included in the study using the total sampling method. The study used the Connor Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) 25 adapted from Ramadhan (2018) and the Virtues in Action (VIA) 72 Scale-short from the VIA Institute as the measurement tools.
