Abstract

That many students have difficulties in understanding the materials is conveyed by the teachers in addition to low self-confidence. The importance of self-confidence is not supported by the facts. Therefore, this research aims to improve the students' self-confidence and student learning outcomes by using Problem Based Learning Model in SDN 1 . Design used is Quasi Experimental Design. The form is None Equivalent Control Design Group. In this design, the researchers used two groups, namely, control group and experimental group. Class A is the experimental class, while class B is the control class. The findings show that through Poblem based Learning, both students' self confidence and achievement are improved.

Abstract

This quantitative experimental research aimed to investigate the influence of the Ethnoscience-based Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on the learning outcomes of 5th grade students. The study employed a one-group pretest-posttest design and included 27 students from SDN Karangbong. The data collection technique involved administering pre-tests and post-tests to assess student learning outcomes. Data analysis was conducted using paired sample t-tests and Eta Square tests. The results revealed a significant improvement in learning outcomes (Sig. [2-tailed] = 0.001 < 0.05), indicating the effectiveness of the Ethnoscience-based PBL model. These findings underscore the potential of this instructional approach in enhancing student learning and have important implications for educators and curriculum developers seeking innovative strategies to promote student engagement and academic achievement. Highlights: The study employed an experimental research design to assess the impact of the Ethnoscience-based Problem-Based Learning model on learning outcomes. The findings revealed a significant improvement in student learning outcomes, indicating the effectiveness of the instructional approach. This research has implications for educators and curriculum developers seeking innovative strategies to enhance student engagement and academic achievement in elementary school settings. Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of problem-based learning based on ethnoscience on science literacy skills at SDN Bringinbendo 2. The Ethnoscience-based PBL model is a learning model that can develop students' scientific literacy abilities. This study used a quantitative approach with experimental methods with the type of research one group pre-test-post-test. The sample in this study was V-grade students at SDN Bringinbendo 2, which consisted of 21 students. Data collection in this study used a pre-test and post-test. Data were analyzed using a hypothesis t-test and the Eta Squared test. The results of the research hypothesis test were t-sample t-test, Sig. (2-tailed) ie 0.00 <0.05 so there is a significant effect (H₁ is accepted and H₀ is rejected). So it can be seen that the ethnoscience-based PBL model influences the scientific literacy skills of class V at SDN Bringinbendo 2. In the results of the eta-squared test, there is an increase with a vulnerable score of t > 0.14, indicating an influence of the big one. Using the Ethnoscience-based PBL model can improve the scientific literacy skills of V-grade students.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of applying the PBL learning model on the reasoning abilities of fourth-grade elementary school students Muhammadiyah 1 Krian. Types of experimental research and using one group pre-test-post-test design method. The population in this study were 23 fifth-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Krian. The researcher used a saturated sampling technique because population sizes were small. Reasoning ability data was obtained from essay tests before and after the application of PBL. Then the study results were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques and the N-Gain test using the SPSS version 26 software. The results of this analysis indicate the reasoning ability of the pre-test post-test results showed a significant difference between the average value of the pre-test (63.26) and post-test (82.74), and. those using the N-Gain test obtained an average of 0.52 which indicates the moderate category, so using this PBL learning model can affect the reasoning abilities of elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of the Case Based Learning (CBL) learning model on the science literacy skills of fifth grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Krian. The research method used is the experimental method with the research design, namely the pre-experimental design and the type of research, namely the One Group Pretest-Posttest design. Data on the results of students' reasoning abilities were obtained through tests of essay questions before and after using the CBL learning model. The research results were analyzed using the N-Gain test with the help of SPSS software and Microsoft Excel. The results of the analysis using the N-Gain test obtained an average result of 0.47 which is included in the medium category. This shows that the CBL learning model can have a moderate effect on students' reasoning abilities.
