This article discusses a women's movement as Islamic activism as well as a women's empowerment movement. Fatayat DIY as a women's organization under the auspices of Nahdlatul Ulama is a manifestation of women's Islamic activism. In addition, Fatayat NU DIY as a manifestation of women's Islamic activism also creates a concrete movement in the form of empowering women as a big agenda in organizing community welfare, especially for women. This research is field research focused on studying an organization called Fatayat NU DIY. The research method used in this study is a qualitative-descriptive with sociological approach. This study uses a keen analysis of new social movement theory as a tool to observe further about the phenomenon of the women's movement as Islamic activism and women's empowerment movement. The results of the study states that: first, Fatayat NU DIY is a portrait of the form in women's Islamic activism precisely this era. Fatayat NU DIY as women's Islamic activism at this moment is a forum for women to actualize bright ideas and other potentials possessed by women. Second, Fatayat DIY NU does not only sign in the area of Islamic women's activism, but enters the area of women's empowerment. Fatayat NU DIY as women's Islamic activism paved the way and awareness of the pivotal empowering of fellow women as well as providing welfare for the community, especially for women. The form of empowerment conducted by Fatayat NU DIY in empowering women is proven by the existence of: the establishment of the LKP3A Institution, the establishment of the BLKK PW NU DIY, Acting as Intermediary Actor, and settled women as a source of knowledge.

Pandemi Covid-19 di Indonesia semakin meningkat kasusnya sehingga melahirkan banyak permasalahan dan memicu masyarakat untuk ikut andil dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut. Hal tersebut didorong oleh kondisi pemerintah yang terlihat kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan permasalahn yang terjadi. Permasalahan yang terjadi selama masa pandemi Covid-19 diantaranya adalah meningkatnya angka pengagguran, rendahnya ketahanan pangan, rentannya kesehatan masyarakat, dan permasalahan-permasalahan yang lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji lebih dalam terkait gerakan altruisme sebagai bagian upaya untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan yang lahir di masa pandemi Covid-19. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif agar penelitian ini dapat menjelaskan lebih sistematis dan mendalam. Untuk mendukung penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Wawancara dilakukan pada gerakan sosial non filantropi dan studi dokumentasi dilakukan pada lembaga sosial filantropi berbasis islam. Teknik analisis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pisau analisis dengan teori motif sosial dan konsep altruisme. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pada situasi pandemi Covid-19 banyak gerakan-gerakan sosial non filantopi yang muncul untuk ikut berpartisipasi membantu dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan. Hal tersebut terjadi karena gencarnya program sosial kemanusiaan yang dilakukan oleh lembaga-lembaga sosial kemanusian berbasis Islam dalam membantu menyelesaikan permasalahan saat pandemi Covid-19. Dua poin diatas sebagai gerakan kolaborasi yang membantu pemerintah dalam menghadapi permasalahan saat pandemi Covid-19

Social workers have an obligation to apply values and ethics as a form of professionalism in the intervention process. However, in reality the application of values and ethics sometimes experiences ethical problems or dilemmas. The focus of research on the application of social worker values and ethics in the mentoring process to clients, especially in the community empowerment program for the Mardiko scavenger group at TPST Piyungan Bantul, Yogyakarta. As well, looking at the ethical dilemmas experienced by social workers while applying values and ethics. This research uses a qualitative-descriptive method of research and data collection techniques are carried out by interview methods, observation and documentation. The results of this study state that the application of values and ethics in the Mardiko scavenger empowerment program at TPST Piyungan includes acceptance, individualization, expression of taste, non-judgmental attitude, objectivity, self-determination and confidentiality. This study also explains that social workers in the practice of community empowerment mentoring experience ethical dilemmas such as when giving scavengers the freedom to determine their own destiny, but on the other hand this freedom has an inaccurate effect on scavengers in making choices. Another ethical dilemma that occurs relates to professional and personal values. but on the other hand, sthis freedom gives an inaccurate effect on scavengers in making choices. Abstract. This research discusses the management of the largest Islamic philanthropy in Indonesia which has a movement in helping to solve various problems experienced by society using the approach of values in Islam and the concept of community empowerment. The research methods used are descriptive qualitative and phenomenological approaches. The data in this study was taken with interview and documentation techniques. This research focuses on studying two major Islamic philanthropies in Indonesia, namely Dompet Dhuafa and Lazis NU. The results of this study say that Dompet Dhuafa and Lazis NU as Islamic philanthropy have management that is not much different from the concept of social institution management in general. There are two important points in this research. First, Dompet Dhuafa and Lazis NU in the process of distributing aid also involve the concept of empowerment and both Islamic philanthropy also follow the process of empowering well. Second, Dompet Dhuafa and Lazis NU also have organizational management based on Community Base Organization. This is indicated by the orientation owned by the two Islamic philanthropies, namely as a non-profit institute oriented to social change.Keywords: Islamic philanthropy, empowerment, organizational management. Abstrak. Penelitian ini membahas manajemen filantropi Islam terbesar di Indonesia yang memiliki gerakan dalam membantu menyelesaikan berbagai persoalan yang sedang dialami oleh masyarakat dengan menggunakan pendekatan nilai-nilai dalam Islam. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dan pendekatan fenomenologi. Data-data dalam penelitian ini diambil dengan teknik wawancara dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini fokus mengkaji dua filantropi Islam terbesar di Indonesia, yaitu Dompet Dhuafa dan Lazis NU. Hasil penelitian ini mengatakan bahwa Dompet Dhuafa dan Lazis NU sebagai filantropi Islam memiliki manajemen pengelolaan yang tidak jauh berbeda dengan konsep manajemen lembaga sosial pada umumnya. Terdapat dua poin penting dalam penelitian ini. Pertama, Dompet Dhuafa maupun Lazis NU dalam proses penyaluran bantuan melibatkan konsep pemberdayaan dan kedua filantropi Islam tersebut juga mengikuti proses penyelenggaraan pemberdayaan dengan baik. Kedua, Dompet Dhuafa dan Lazis NU memiliki manajemen organisasi yang berbasis Community Base Organization. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan orientasi yang dimiliki oleh kedua filantropi Islam tersebut, yaitu sebagai lembaga non-profit yang berorientasi pada perubahan sosial.Kata Kunci: Filantropi Islam, pemberdayaan, manajemen organisasi.
