Abstract

This study analyses the factors determining the intention to adopt Islamic financial technology for Muslim users in Indonesia. This study uses a quantitative approach to analyze the determinant of intention to adopt Islamic fintech. The analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the SmartPLS application tool to examine the relationship between variables in the model. 205 respondents were selected through a purposive sampling technique to get Muslim respondents in Jabodetabek and Bandung who had used fintech applications but had not used sharia fintech. The results showed that the determinant of intention to use Islamic fintech is positively and significantly influenced by Perceived Usefulness (PU) and attitude (A). Meanwhile, perceived ease of use (PEOU), trust (T), and religiosity (R) have a positive but not significant effect on the intention to use (ITU) Islamic fintech. Indirectly, perceived ease of use and trust has a positive and significant effect on the intention to use Islamic fintech through perceived usefulness (PU) and attitude variables; perceived usefulness (PU) and religiosity (R) have a positive and significant effect on the intention to use Islamic fintech through attitude.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in Return on Assets (ROA), Non-Performing Financing (NPF), Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR), and Operating Expenses to Operating Income (BOPO), as well as Islamic MSME Financing at Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia before and after the implementation of the financing restructuring policy during the Covid-19 period. The research method used to analyze is a comparative method with a quantitative approach calculated using the Paired sample t-test if the data is normally distributed and the Wilcoxon signed rank test if the data is not normally distributed which is carried out using IBM SPSS 25 software. The results showed that there were significant differences in financial performance as seen in the ratios of ROA, NPF, CAR, FDR, and BOPO before and after the implementation of the financing restructuring policy during the Covid-19 period. Meanwhile, Islamic MSME financing has no difference before and after the implementation of the financing restructuring policy during the Covid-19 period. Overall, the restructuring policy has a positive impact on the financial health of Islamic Commercial Banks, while maintaining stable support for Islamic MSME financing in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of macroeconomic indicators and the National Zakat Index (IZN) on the Islamic Human Development Index (I-HDI) at the district and city level in Banten Province. While the conventional Human Development Index (HDI) by the UNDP is widely accepted, its lack of alignment with Islamic principles makes it less suitable for assessing development in Muslim-majority areas. This research is original in integrating macroeconomic factors and zakat within an Islamic development framework. The primary purpose is to assess how economic growth, unemployment, poverty, and the National Zakat Index influence I-HDI. A quantitative approach using Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) and multiple regression analysis was applied. The findings reveal that economic growth has a positive and significant effect on I-HDI, highlighting its role in human development. Unemployment, although negatively correlated with I-HDI, does not have a significant impact, suggesting limited immediate effects. Poverty significantly impacts I-HDI, emphasizing the need for focused poverty alleviation efforts. While the National Zakat Index is positively correlated with I-HDI, its effect is not statistically significant, indicating that zakat optimization requires further attention. These results stress the importance of targeted policies to reduce poverty, stimulate economic growth, and enhance zakat distribution. Policymakers should work to improve the effectiveness of zakat and integrate it into broader economic and social strategies to improve I-HDI in the Islamic context.

Abstract

Research aims: This study aims to examine the influence of Islamic lifestyle, halal certification, and social media exposure on purchasing decisions at Mixue outlets in Serang City. Design/Methodology/Approach: The research used a quantitative approach with survey data collected from 190 respondents. Multiple linear regression analysis was applied using SPSS 26. Prior to hypothesis testing, classical assumption tests including normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity were conducted to ensure data validity. Research findings: The results showed that Islamic lifestyle, halal certification, and social media exposure each had a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions. The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.503, indicating that 50.3% of the variation in purchasing decisions could be explained by the three independent variables. The remaining 49.7% was influenced by other factors outside the model. Theoretical Contribution/Originality: This research contributes to the understanding of consumer behavior in the context of halal and Islamic marketing, especially within the growing market segment of Muslim consumers in non-traditional halal industries such as ice cream chains. It highlights the integration of religious values and digital influence in shaping consumer preferences. Practitioners/Policy Implications: The findings suggest that food and beverage companies targeting Muslim consumers should not only focus on halal certification but also promote Islamic lifestyle compatibility and engage actively on social media platforms to enhance purchasing behavior. These insights are valuable for marketing strategists and brand managers operating in multicultural environments. Research Limitations/Implications: The study is limited to Mixue outlets in Serang City, which may not fully represent broader consumer behavior across different regions. Future research should involve comparative studies across cities or include moderating variables such as income or education level for more nuanced insights.
