Abstract

This article discusses the importance of education, particularly Islamic Religious Education, in addressing gender issues and inequalities faced by women in various aspects of life. Gender, as a social construction, is different from biological sex and plays an important role in social and cultural dynamics. This research, which is descriptive-critical in nature, uses a literature approach to analyze data sources and related literature. The main focus is on how education, especially Islamic religious education, can be used as a tool to combat ingrained gender prejudices and stereotypes in society. Islamic Educationis seen as a means to spread the values of equality, freedom, democracy and justice, and to overcome gender-biased interpretations of religious texts. The article emphasizes the importance of an inclusive and gender justice based curriculum in shaping young people's attitudes and understanding of gender issues. This includes addressing gender stereotypes in educational materials and promoting critical thinking among students. In addition, this article highlights the need to recognize that the challenges in realizing gender equality lie not only in education, but also in social and cultural practices. Therefore, it is proposed that gender justice-based Islamic Educationcan be a catalyst in promoting a more balanced and inclusive understanding of gender roles, which is essential for the development of a more tolerant, just and egalitarian society.

Abstract

Abstract: The discourse of Islam and nationalism became an interesting topic of conversation at the beginning of the 20th century when the Islamic world intersected with the idea of a Western-style nation-state in the Islamic world. The nation-state concept is considered a-historical for Muslim societies. Almost all Muslim countries in the third world, including Indonesia, experience nation-state problems in finding their national identity and character (nation character buildings). Especially in Indonesia, this kind of nation-state problem has sometimes not been completely resolved which in turn will always give rise to the "Islam vs. State” with a dichotomous designation; religious state (diniyyah) and a secular state (la diniyyah). Opposition and dichotomy like this will become an obstacle in the administration of the state in the context of a nation-state. This paper uses an analytical-historical approach that is focused on the role of Sarekat Islam (SI) in the struggle for Islamic politics during the period of the national movement. This organization breathed the spirit of nationalism based on Islam for the first time in Indonesia. The current existence of political Islam should follow in the footsteps of Sarekat Islam, in upholding nationalism as a nation, Muslims must be able to become pioneers in maintaining harmony in a very pluralistic society. Keywords: Islam, Nationalism, Politic Abstrak: Wacana Islam dan Nasionalisme menjadi perbincangan menarik pada awal abad ke 20 ketika dunia Islam bersinggungan dengan ide nation-state ala Barat ke dunia Islam. Konsep nation-state dianggap a-historis bagi masyarakat Muslim.

Abstract

One of the troubles in Indonesian training is that the system of tutorial development remains not substantial and is abstract and even a way from actual existence, making it tough to train college students' creative wondering abilties. This study targets to enhance innovative questioning talents using the context-based learning (CBL) studying model on motion dynamics fabric. There are several articles associated with these studies for analysis. The sample for this research was 64 students taken from 2 classes, namely class XI K and XI L among 6 class XI at SMAN 3 Pandeglang. The methodology employed for data analysis to ascertain an increase in creative thinking skills in students is the N-gain test. Based on the N-gain analysis, the findings indicated an improvement in creative thinking skills using the context-based learning (CBL) learning model on Motion Dynamics material. This was obtained derived from the outcomes of statistical calculations which indicated the presence of increase in the value of N-gain in the class undergoing the experiment by 0.84 in the high category, while in the control class the N-gain value was only 0.39 falling within the moderate category. Therefore, learning using the context-based learning model is recommended to be employed to enhance the creative thinking abilities of students, especially in contextually related materials such as Motion Dynamics material.

Abstract

Various cases of bullying happened in the educational system in Indonesia, from the elementary to high school levels. The increasing number of school bullying cases poses a challenge for guidance counsellors in addressing them. Therefore, collaboration between guidance counsellors and other teachers is essential, particularly with Islamic education teachers who play a similar role in shaping students' characters. The objective of this research is to describe how collaboration takes shape between Islamic education teachers and guidance counsellors in handling bullying at SMP Negeri 3 Kasihan. This study is qualitative and employs a field research approach. Findings of the study indicate that collaboration between Islamic education teachers and guidance counsellors in addressing bullying cases at SMP Negeri 3 Kasihan is formal collaboration in the form of preventive and corrective programs. Preventive programs include: first, displaying anti-bullying posters in the school area; second, collecting gadgets/phones to prevent cyberbullying within the school; third, bringing in experts or practitioners from outside the school; fourth, organizing cultural events. As for corrective programs, they include: first, implementing individual approaches for both the perpetrators and victims of bullying (call centre); second, imposing sanctions.
