Abstract

Mangrove memiliki banyak manfaat dan dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber pangan fungsional. Mangrove merupakan jenis tanaman dikotil yang hidup di habitat air laut dan air payau. Tujuan dari pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat adalah untuk mentransferkan keterampilan dan pengetahuan dalam memproduksi sirup buah pedada (Sonneratia alba) kepada masyarakat pesisir Lhok Bubon Aceh Barat. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat meliputi sosialisasi, persiapan bahan baku, dan pelatihan kepada masyarakat pesisir di Lhok Bubon Aceh Barat. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilaksanakan dengan melibatkan Wanita pesisir Lhok Bubon yang menghasilkan produk sirup buah pedada yang berasal dari mangrove S. alba. Outcomes yang diharapkan dalam kegiatan ini adalah pemanfaatan secara berkelanjutan mangrove S. alba sebagai sirup alami yang dapat meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat pesisir.

Abstract

The school principal is one of the key components in education that significantly influences the improvement of teacher performance. The success of a school’s education is largely determined by the principal’s ability to manage the educational staff available at the school. This study aims to reveal the leadership of the school principal in improving teacher performance in conducting teaching and learning activities at SMK Negeri 1 Kota Jambi. The research focuses on the principal's management in enhancing teacher performance at SMK Negeri 1 Kota Jambi. The aspects highlighted in this study include discipline, responsibility, pride in the profession, and the hard work of the principal at SMK Negeri 1 Kota Jambi. The objective of this research is to understand the principal’s management in improving teacher performance at SMK Negeri 1 Kota Jambi.The type of research used is descriptive qualitative, a research method that produces descriptive data in the form of words, both written and oral, from observed individuals, using a holistic approach that does not separate individuals or organizations into separate variables but views them as part of a whole system. Data collection techniques in this study include interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis is conducted using qualitative analysis methods. The results of the study show that after receiving guidance and direction from the Principal of SMK Negeri 1 Kota Jambi, teachers' abilities have significantly improved compared to before. ABSTRAKKepala sekolah merupakan salah satu komponen pendidikan yang paling berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru adalah kepala sekolah. Keberhasilan pendidikan sekolah sangat bergantung pada seberapa baik kepala sekolah mengelola tenaga kependidkan. Penelitian ini meneliti manajemen kepala sekolah untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru di SMK Negeri 1 Kota Jambi. Penelitian ini berfokus pada kedisiplinan, tanggung jawab, rasa bangga terhadap profesi, dan kerja keras kepala sekolah.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang peran manajemen kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di SMK Negeri 1 Kota Jambi. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif adalah jenis penelitian yang menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa kata-kata dari orang-orang yang diamati, baik secara tertulis maupun lisan. Pendekatan holistik melihat individu atau organisasi sebagai komponen dari suatu kesatuan, bukan sebagai variabel terpisah. Dalam penelitian ini, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Metode analisis kualitatif digunakan untuk menganalisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan guru SMK Negeri 1 Kota Jambi meningkat secara signifikan setelah mendapat bimbingan dan arahan dari kepala sekolah.

Abstract

This study examines child exploitation in the Budak Ngambek Timah tradition in Central Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings reveal multiple forms of child exploitation economic, physical, social, and educational that negatively impact academic achievement, health, and psychological development. The study recommends comprehensive interventions by the government, educational institutions, parents, and the community to protect children’s rights and eliminate these practices for a better future.

Abstract

This study investigates the factors influencing the institutional image of Pondok Pesantren Ar-Rahmah in Jambi by identifying both internal catalysts and barriers that shape public perception. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews and participatory observation involving pesantren leaders, teachers, and parents. The findings indicate that visionary leadership, strong support from the foundation, and continuous student achievements—particularly in religious competitions such as the Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ)—serve as key catalysts in strengthening the pesantren’s image. Visionary leadership fosters discipline, academic excellence, and moral integrity, while foundation support provides institutional stability. However, the study also identifies major barriers, including limited shared understanding of strategic goals among internal stakeholders, human resource constraints in digital communication and public relations, and challenges in managing time and institutional priorities. These barriers hinder the consistent implementation of image-building strategies. The study recommends improving internal communication, enhancing digital competencies, and strengthening priority management to sustain a positive institutional image.

Abstract

Learning practices in primary schools continue to show limitations in implementing contextual and student-centered learning despite the adoption of the Merdeka Curriculum. Instructional practices remain dominated by conventional approaches and have not integrated local socio-cultural contexts as part of the learning process. This study aims to analyze the learning needs for Problem Based Learning incorporating the Budak Ngambek Timah tradition among fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 8 Namang. A qualitative approach with a descriptive design was employed. The research participants included fourth-grade teachers, fourth-grade students, and the school principal. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which comprises data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings indicate that PBL has been recognized by teachers and included in instructional planning; however, its implementation has not been conducted systematically and remains focused on textbook-based instruction. Learning activities have not utilized local social and cultural contexts as learning resources. In addition, students demonstrate strong connections to tin mining activities as part of their families’ social and economic realities; however, these experiences have not been used as a foundation for learning. In terms of learning resources, instruction is still dominated by textual materials and is not supported by contextual resources based on local culture. Overall, the findings reveal a gap between the demands of the Merdeka Curriculum, student characteristics, and classroom learning practices.
