Abstract

This research was conducted with the background of analyzing the organization communication flow in  the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy / Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Kemenparekraf / Baparekraf) after the simplification of bureaucracy. There are three dimensions to the flow of communication, which are: downward communication, upward communication and horizonal communication. The flow of communication in bureaucratic organizations is determined by the existence of ideal bureaucratic principles according to Max Weber which include clear hierarchy, division of labor and centralization of decision-making and power. This research used quantitative methodology and using descriptive research. The population in this study amounted to 367 government employees which affected by bureaucratic simplification. Authors used Yamane formula and accidental sampling technique to get a sample of 78 peoples. The study concluded that horizontal communication occurs more in organizations, while downward communication that characterizes the ideal bureaucracy shows fewer numbers so that it requires evaluation of strengthening bureaucratic communication to strengthen the organization in the future.

Abstract

Utilization of information technology in realizing the bureaucracy to improve public services to the community is very important at this time, given the increasingly rapid development of technology. The development of information technology realizes the absence of clear boundaries between one region and another in Indonesia. Currently, how the government in Jakarta has been able to utilize information technology facilities and infrastructure to provide excellent service to the community. So that services can be provided quickly, precisely, and easily. The research method used in this study is qualitative research using a descriptive approach. This qualitative research is used to examine the condition of the object scientifically how the use of information technology can be able to provide changes to the public service bureaucracy in Jakarta so that services can be enjoyed by all levels of society.

Abstract

The development of digital technology which is so rapid at this time has an impact on changes in various lines of society. One of the changes in behavior and new habits can be seen in how people interact with various digital technology platforms that are used as channels of communication and socialization. Through these various digital platforms, the public can not only easily obtain information, but can also process and produce information. The change in role from consumer to producer is one of the influences of technology that drives society today to be in the information society era. However, user-generated content basically generates huge profits for social media operators through user-produced content and of course, also comes from advertisements. This monetization is perceived by users as an opportunity to earn income through social media. Thus, users are competing in various ways to produce content in order to achieve monetization in accordance with the terms and conditions of social media operators. On the one hand, it seems that these social media users are not aware that their existence in social media is basically an instrument of the system contained in social media itself. The data in this article was carried out by analyzing a number of YouTube application YouTuber accounts and conducting an analysis. A case study approach to see how the phenomenon of digital capitalization through YouTube is carried out by social media operators. Furthermore, the results of the analysis are examined with the one-dimensional human perspective of Herbert Marcuse

Abstract

The research utilized qualitative data analysis for its data. This is intended to provide a more comprehensive understanding of problems encountered during data collection that directly or indirectly correlates to the research, its environment, subjects, or others. According to Miles and Huberman, data analysis consists of three activities that occur simultaneously. Based on the research, we discovered that communication behavior coming from the use of social media, with a focus only on Twitter, is diverse. In other words, Twitter can help provide information related to the subjects’ social interaction, perspective, and views of on certain social issues and conditions as they post their opinions and thoughts onto the Twitter channels to interact with other users who identify as their online friends or followers. The growth of the internet and the fast-changing culture make social media a staple of the current community to communicate, especially in today’s modern society. In this research, it was found that Government Public Relations failed to respond to the speed of communication on social media using the issue of state debt
