Abstract

This illustrates that all countries have the same goals in seeking growth, development, progress, and continuous learning to face challenges in the future. The visual emails presented in this study aim to expand the understanding of the denotative, connotative, and mythical meanings believed to be true through the application of the value expectation theory. This theory provides a comprehensive approach to understanding how individuals form and interpret the meaning of a concept or idea, considering the aspect of value expectation. In this research, Roland Barthes' semiotics method is employed for analyzing main interpretations and representations to unravel the denotative, connotative, and mythical meanings in the presented visuals. Data collection techniques involve focus group discussions and structured in-depth interviews aligned with investor feedback. Based on the research results, exploration will be conducted on how individual perceptions of value influence their interpretation of visual understanding. This is supported by the expectation from feedback that investors desire visuals and text to support technical knowledge and portfolio growth based on the visual analysis provided by the securities company.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mendalami tantangan komunikasi yang timbul dalam konteks negosiasi bisnis lintas budaya, sebuah aspek yang semakin penting dalam pendidikan global di era saat ini. Dengan meningkatnya integrasi global, interaksi bisnis lintas budaya tidak hanya menjadi umum tetapi juga semakin kompleks. Faktor-faktor seperti perbedaan budaya, bahasa, dan konteks sosial-politik memainkan peran penting dalam proses negosiasi tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami bagaimana faktor-faktor tersebut memengaruhi komunikasi dalam konteks negosiasi bisnis lintas budaya dan implikasinya dalam konteks pendidikan. Metode studi literatur digunakan untuk menganalisis berbagai sumber informasi yang relevan, termasuk artikel, buku, dan jurnal ilmiah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman mendalam tentang perbedaan budaya, bahasa, dan konteks sosial-politik sangat penting dalam mencapai kesuksesan dalam negosiasi lintas budaya, yang juga relevan dalam konteks pendidikan global. Rekomendasi disarankan bagi lembaga pendidikan dan para profesional di bidang pendidikan untuk memberikan perhatian khusus terhadap pelatihan komunikasi lintas budaya serta menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang beragam budaya untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pendidikan lintas budaya.

Abstract

AbstrakEra modern tidak berpihak pada keunikan individu sebagai makhluk sosial, tetapi menganggap masalah sosial sebagai hal yang seragam. Hal ini memunculkan pemahaman baru yang disebut postmodernisme. Postmodernisme bersikap antipatetik terhadap penjelasan yang mengklaim berlaku untuk semua kelompok, budaya, tradisi, atau ras, serta tidak berfokus pada kebenaran relatif setiap orang. Perkembangan teknologi membuat komunikasi tidak lagi terikat oleh ruang dan waktu. Dengan demikian, kebebasan individu dalam berkomunikasi tidak lagi dapat diseragamkan. Di sisi lain, tuntutan untuk memberikan ruang bagi kebebasan individu semakin meningkat, seiring dengan kebebasan berekspresi yang disalurkan melalui berbagai media digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan memetakan studi komunikasi berdasarkan fungsi dan komponen pendukungnya, agar penelitian lebih lanjut dapat menganalisis bagaimana hal tersebut berhubungan dengan perkembangan postmodernisme yang memberikan kebebasan bagi setiap individu untuk berkomunikasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah tinjauan literatur yang diperoleh dari Google Scholar dengan bantuan PoP pada periode 2014-2023. Analisis literatur dilakukan dengan mengelompokkan studi komunikasi berdasarkan fungsi dan elemen pendukungnya yang dipetakan menggunakan metode Prisma dengan bantuan NVivo 12 Pro. Fungsi komunikasi terdiri atas fungsi sosial, ekspresi, dan instrumental. Elemen komunikasi meliputi sumber, pesan, media komunikasi, dan dampak komunikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa studi ilmu komunikasi di era pasca-modernisasi saat ini didominasi oleh aktivitas komunikasi dalam bentuk ekspresi diri, terutama dengan dukungan media digital. Temuan ini juga sejalan dengan paradigma postmodernisme, yang menjadikan karakteristik individu dominan dalam proses komunikasi.Kata kunci: Studi Komunikasi; NVivo 12 Pro; postmodernisme; prisma; publish or perish AbstractThe modern era does not take the side of an individual’s uniqueness as a social being but considers social problems to be likened. This generates a new understanding called postmodernism. Postmodernism is antipathetic to explanations that claim to apply to all groups, cultures, traditions, or races. It does not focus on the relative truth of each person. Technological developments have made communication no longer bound by space and time. Thus, individual freedom in communication can no longer be likened. On the other hand, the demand to provide space for individual freedom is increasing, along with freedom of self-expression channeled through various digital media. This research aims to examine and map the study of communication based on its functions and supporting components, for further research to analyze how it relates to the development of postmodernism which gives freedom to each individual to communicate. The research method was a literature review obtained from Google Scholar with the help of PoP in the 2014-2023 period. Literature analysis was carried out by grouping communication studies based on their functions and supporting elements which were mapped using the Prisma method with the help of NVivo 12 Pro. Communication functions consist of social, expression, and instrumental. The elements of communication consist of sources, messages, communication media, and the impact of communication. The results of the research showed that the study of communication science in the current post-modernization era is dominated by communication activities in the form of self-expression, especially with the support of digital media. The findings are also in line with the postmodernism paradigm. Abstract

This study analyzes the campaign strategy of the Sherly Tjoanda Laos and Sarbin Sehe pair in the 2024 North Maluku gubernatorial election with a focus on three main aspects, namely media, campaign tactics, and mass mobilization. This pair utilizes digital media such as TikTok and Instagram to reach young voters, as well as traditional media for groups of people who are less exposed to the internet. The campaign tactics they use include large-scale campaigns, personal approaches, public debates, and strengthening local cultural elements. Mass mobilization is carried out through large events and door-to-door approaches. The results of the analysis show that this strategy is effective in building emotional connections with voters, creating a positive image, and reaching various segments of society. The challenges in the form of negative campaigns are responded to with professionalism, prioritizing clarification of facts, and strengthening work programs. This study concludes that the combination of modern communication, personal approaches, and local adaptation are the keys to the success of their political campaign.

Abstract

The 2024 Jakarta Governor and Deputy Governor Election served as a critical stage for the Ridwan Kamil and Suswono duo, supported by major political parties through the Koalisi Indonesia Maju (KIM) Plus coalition. Despite broad political backing and leveraging communication strategies across social media, traditional media, and grassroots engagement, the pair failed to secure victory. This study examines their political communication strategies, including media utilization, public response, and challenges faced, such as negative perceptions due to past scandals, black campaigns, and local resistance to their identity. Using a qualitative descriptive approach based on desk reviews, the study finds that while Ridwan Kamil-Suswono managed to capture public attention with flagship programs like Kartu Jakarta Maju and Riverway, obstacles such as smear campaigns and misalignment with Jakarta's local culture were key factors in their defeat. The findings highlight the importance of synergy between political communication strategies, understanding local community characteristics, and effective image management in winning political contests.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of Generation Z in the victory of the candidate pair Dedi Mulyadi and Erwan Setiawan in the 2024 West Java Gubernatorial Election. This election holds special significance as West Java is the province with the largest voter base in Indonesia, with a Fixed Voter List (DPT) reaching 31,730,039 people. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach, analyzing various data sources including official documents and media coverage. The results show that the pair's success is inseparable from their effective digital campaign strategy in reaching Generation Z, with a total social media following of 19.7 million. The pair successfully combined a traditional-cultural approach with modern digital strategies, reflected in their seven comprehensive flagship programs. A Kompas Research and Development survey showed very high support at 65%, far exceeding their closest competitor. This research provides important contributions to understanding the transformation of political campaign strategies in the digital era and the significant role of Generation Z in determining local election outcomes.

Abstract

The 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections in Bekasi are an important momentum in the development of local democracy in Indonesia, marked by the support of a coalition of ten political parties for the candidate pair Tri Adhianto and Abdul Haris Bobihoe. This study uses a qualitative method with a desk review approach to analyze the communication and campaign strategies of the candidate pair. The results of the study show that this pair succeeded in utilizing social media effectively to reach voters, especially the younger generation. Relevant campaign messages, related to education, job creation, and community welfare, succeeded in building emotional attachment. Their campaign reflects political pragmatism at the local level, where support from various parties puts aside ideological differences in order to achieve electoral goals. Through social media, the candidate pair created two-way communication with the community and expanded their audience reach. This study concludes that adaptive and digital-based campaign strategies can increase public participation and trust in candidates, although challenges in maintaining transparency and accountability remain.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the failure of the candidate pair Husain Alting Sjah and Asrul Rasyid in the 2024 Maluku Utara Gubernatorial Election (Pilgub Malut). This election is crucial for regional political dynamics as it involves strategic figures and influences future policy directions. The research background focuses on understanding the main factors that contributed to the defeat, which may include social, political, and economic aspects. The study employed a literature review method, utilizing data from official documents, media reports, and relevant research findings. The analysis reveals that the candidates faced significant challenges, including insufficient internal consolidation within the campaign team, political communication strategies that failed to reach all societal layers effectively, and weaker political networks compared to their competitors. External factors, such as the dominance of rivals with broader support bases and more effective mobilization capabilities, also contributed to the loss. The study concludes that Husain Alting Sjah and Asrul Rasyid were unable to fully capitalize on their social and political assets to compete effectively. This research provides theoretical contributions to the study of political strategies in local elections, particularly in the Maluku Utara region, and offers practical insights for candidates in preparing political strategies in the future.

Abstract

According to the 2024 election commission (election committee) bogor 2024, the winner is the ruhandi no. 1 Rudy susmanto-ade ruhandi, with the 1,559,328 electory-musyafaur rahman with an issue of 559,453. Before the election was held on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, to search out sympathizers for voters, efforts have been made by both sides. A campaign through social media is being carried out to convince voters to make their choice. As the campaign is carried out, the winning couple select more social media campaigns asa form of public communication, while the campaign through mass mobilization is carried out by both prospective couples but higher levels of intensity by the number 1. Rudy susmanto's victory was also affected by images or self-image made public where previous periods had been DPRD's chairman with his very strong integrity character and his firmness for adherence to the prevailing rules. Besides which he created and operated programs that sided with the interests of many. This consistent value makes values a personal plus profile which is also an important aspect for affecting people to make choices during the election. The victory of the 1 Rudy susmanto-jaro ade was also the result of the powerful, dominant and effective party machine with the full 14 parties supporting the 18. The largest party carried by the number one in line rususmanto-jaro ade is senses and golkar. Bogor district's mobility was awarded 12 seats of parliament, while golkar was seven. In the meantime, the party of gerindra and golkar has become a coalition party in sthe 2024 presidential election, which is also a factor in the win of the number 1 group.

Abstract

The Andra-Dimyati pair built a large coalition with the support of ten political parties, demonstrating significant electoral strength in the Banten gubernatorial election. Their vision and mission, which focuses on "Banten Maju, Adil Merata tidak Korupsi" (Advanced, Fair, Equitable, No Corruption), includes priority programs such as improving workers' welfare, free education for high school students, and increasing village budgets. These programs are expected to be able to answer the needs of the community, especially the younger generation and labor groups. The campaign strategy that utilizes social media, especially Instagram and TikTok, allows them to reach young voters with dynamic and interactive visual content. Through live streaming, Instagram Stories, and entertainment-based content, they have succeeded in creating direct interaction and strengthening closeness with voters. An innovative approach to social media campaigns and strong coalition support increase Andra-Dimyati's competitiveness in the 2024 Banten gubernatorial election.
