Abstract

Monitoring the presence of FOD in the air operation area of Sam Ratulangi Airport in Manado is still done manually or visually and is not carried out continuously, so that the presence of FOD is not detected directly. This can reduce time efficiency which increases the possibility of FOD damaging certain parts of the aircraft, which are feared to have an impact on flight safety. This design is used to simplify the detection of FOD carried out by general engineering officers so that the presence of FOD can be known as early as possible to be immediately removed or cleaned. The design concept of this equipment is to scan the runway surface by utilizing a laser beam and light sensor in the form of an LDR to detect the presence of FOD automatically and continuously. The FOD detection transmitter using a laser beam can detect objects in the runway area. The FOD detector transmits the object data and the position where the object is located, allowing the officer to know the existence of the FOD directly for immediate cleaning.

Abstract

With the development of the times and the complexity of business demands, organizations need an effective way to measure, manage, and improve employee productivity and performance contributions. The purpose of this study is to monitor and assess employee performance at the Medan Aviation Polytechnic. This research method is quantitative with Software Development Life Cycle with waterfall technique. with sample user admin, pedulitaruna. The results of the study showed that users of 108 employees, the percentage results based on satisfaction with the use of the performance management information system were 9% of employees very satisfied with the use of the performance management information system, 69% of employees satisfied with the use of the performance management information system, 17% of employees neutral in the use of the performance management information system, and 5% of employees dissatisfied with the use of the performance management information system.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a website-based Learning Material Collaboration System (LMCS) for lecturers at Makassar Aviation Polytechnic. The system is designed to facilitate online collaboration in preparing teaching materials, ultimately enhancing the overall quality of learning using the waterfall method. Currently, teaching materials at the institution are independently prepared by the lecturers responsible for their respective courses, which results in non-standardized materials and limited collaboration between lecturers, practitioners, and cadets. The resulting materials are more comprehensive and sustainable through collaborative efforts in preparing teaching materials. The application requires lecturers to create an account, ensuring only authorized individuals can contribute and compile the teaching materials. This study proposes a collaborative platform that allows teaching materials to be prepared online to improve the effectiveness of learning and the quality of teaching materials. The LMCS application was tested to evaluate its reliability, efficiency, and effectiveness. The test results showed that the application effectively supported the collaboration of teaching materials, although some obstacles remained in managing cadet groups. Based on usability testing conducted with 10 participants, the application was user-friendly, with most testers successfully completing nearly all tasks. Analysis of the questionnaire using a Likert scale revealed positive user feedback, with the ease of use aspect scoring 82.6% and usability achieving a high score of 87.3%. Users felt that the application accelerated and facilitated the collaboration of teaching materials among lecturers and improved operational efficiency. However, for further development, training on the application and improvements to the user interface (UI/UX) are needed to ensure optimal use by all levels of users. The results of this study are expected to contribute to improving the quality of teaching materials and institutional accreditation at Makassar Aviation Polytechnic.

Abstract

Sistem merupakan suatu bentuk integrasi antara satu komponen dengan komponen lainnya. Karena sistem suatu urutan kegiatan yang saling berhubungan, berkumpul bersama-sama untuk mencapai tujuan tertentu. Proses pemutakhiran data tersebut dapat dipermudah dengan membuat sistem pengasuhan elektronik berbasis web di Politeknik Penerbangan Medan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memutakhirkan sistem pengasuhan elektronik di Politeknik Penerbangan Medan. Metode Pemutakhiran sistem yang digunakan adalah metode otomatis. Proses metode otomatis pada pengerjaannya dilakukan secara berurutan. Sistem yang dihasilkan yaitu suatu sistem yang dapat diakses oleh 3 (tiga) user yaitu administrator, pengasuh dan taruna. Hasil menunjukan pemutakhiran sistem pengasuhan elektronik berbasis web di Politeknik Penerbangan Medan dapat mempermudah pihak pengasuh dalam penginputan data dan pelaporan karena proses perekapan dapat langsung ditampilkan secara akurat. Sistem pengasuhan elektronik ini diimplementasikan dengan menggunakan database MySQL dan bahasa pemrograman tingkat tinggi seperti PHP dengan Native, jQuery, untuk menghandel perintah-perintah javascript, format data JSON untuk pertukaran data antara server dengan client, pada menu-menu yang ber-AJAX, dan Design UI dengan framework CSS, Twitter Bootstrap. Dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman tersebut agar dapat mempermudahkan pengembangan sistem kedepannya, serta dapat menampilkan template yang lebih baik dan ringan. Sehingga tidak membutuhkan spesifikasi server yang sangat tinggi.
