Abstract

This study discusses the effect of using a Learning Management System (LMS) on learning Algorithms and Programming. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the LMS Spada in the Algorithm and Programming learning process, to determine the positive and negative impacts of using LMS, and to find out how to improve the learning process to make it more effective. The method in this study is a survey method with 32 participants. The data was obtained from distributing questionnaires through WhatsApps social media. The results of this study, it is known that LMS is very effective in learning Algorithms and Programming. Then in this study it was also stated that the use of LMS in the learning process had a positive impact and a negative impact. In addition to knowing the effectiveness, positive and negative impacts, in this study we can find ways to improve the learning process to be more effective, including: Continue to practice and read, be brave, take advantage of existing learning media, complete facilities and infrastructure and others.

Abstract

Attendance records are an important tool that can be used to include and broadcast member participation in an activity, including the learning process. In online learning classrooms, the process of recording attendance becomes challenging to do manually, thus an automatic attendance recording system is needed. The authentication process is important in developing an existing recording system to guarantee the correctness of the recorded data. In this research, a face authentication system was built to create a system for recording online class attendance to help integrate participant activities and participation in online class learning. The face recognition approach uses a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model specifically designed to automate student attendance in virtual classes. Student image data is taken from virtual classroom sessions and used to train a CNN model. This model can recognize and verify student identity in various lighting conditions and head positions. This research consists of several stages, namely data collection, artificial neural networks, use of facial recognition, dataset application stage, and facial recognition in video frames. The experimental results showed that there were 11193 samples studied and of these 11193 samples the distribution was even, namely 6.7%. In addition, the model performance results show an accuracy of 76.28%.

Abstract

In this study, an attempt was made to investigate the heat transfer performance of a four-wheeler automotive radiator using a novel coolant system. To support this study, we also added bibliometric analysis to show the importance of this study. In the experiments, camphor nanoparticles (sizes of 511 nm) with various loadings (i.e. 2, 4, 6, and 8%) were mixed with deionized water (DW) to create a coolant. The experiments were conducted at different heat convection processes (i.e. 0.5, 1.45, and 3.7 m/s). The significant heat transfer performance parameters, such as Reynolds number (Re), Nusselt number (Nu), overall heat transfer coefficient (U), and heat transfer rate (Q), were examined. The Fourier Transform Infrared results revealed the presence of significant functional groups in the coolant system. camphor nanoparticles dispersed in DW were stable for more than 8 hours. At 70 ᵒC, the novel coolant (2% camphor nanoparticles in DW) exhibits better Re, Nu, U, and Q than that using pure DW or other loadings of nanoparticles (e.g. 4, 6, and 8%). The high percentage of camphor nanoparticles in DW restricts the fluid flow, resulting in a drop in overall heat transfer performance. Finally, low-cost, easily available, and eco-friendly camphor nanoparticles (2%) are suggested as a better choice in lieu of high-cost metallic and non-metallic nanoparticles as an additive in the coolant system.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pentingnya uji normalitas dan homogenitas melalui penerapannya pada studi kasus nyata. Studi literatur digunakan sebagai metode dalam penelitian ini. Terdapat 6 tahapan yang dilakukan mulai dari identifikasi masalah, pengumpulan data, seleksi data, analisis data, sintesis dan integrasi data, serta penulisan artikel. Berdasarkan perhitungan yang dilakukan, diperoleh nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,23 yang menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik tergolong rendah. Uji statistik yang dilakukan menggunakan uji F menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kelompok kontrol dan perlakuan, sehingga data dianggap homogen. Selain itu, uji t juga menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelompok kontrol dan kelompok perlakuan. Hasil penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa perlakuan yang diberikan tidak menunjukkan efek yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini menyarankan perlunya evaluasi terhadap metode pengajaran yang diterapkan untuk mencapai peningkatan hasil belajar yang lebih optimal.
