Abstract

Agricultural land lease agreements with a harvest season payment system are a custom practiced by farmers in Namu Terasi Village, Sei Bingei Subdistrict, Langkat Regency. The residents of this village primarily work as farmers to sustain their livelihoods, although not all possess extensive land. Consequently, farmers in Namu Terasi Village engage in agricultural land leases with a harvest season payment system. However, some tenants fail to pay the rent within the agreed time frame, often avoiding the landowner's attempts to collect payment. In extreme cases, tenants have left the area with no known whereabouts, thus resulting in a breach of contract. This research, categorized as field research or empirical legal research, is based on primary and secondary data sources. Findings indicate that leasing agricultural land with the harvest season payment model has become customary among farmers in Namu Terasi Village, particularly for irrigated lands primarily used for rice cultivation. Lease agreements are typically conducted orally due to family connections and shared community ties. This payment system, structured around the harvest season, offers convenience to the tenant. While this lease arrangement aligns with the Civil Code’s legal contract requirements, the harvest-based payment method falls outside its purview, relying instead on mutual agreement. Should a tenant default on their obligations, they are required to compensate for any incurred costs, losses, and interest. To prevent similar issues, future lease agreements should ideally be documented in writing to ensure both parties are accountable for their respective rights and obligations

Muamalah activities always keep up with the times, the influence of world globalization and increasingly sophisticated technology causes humans to demand fast and easy things in various fields of life. One of them is the food delivery service from Grab or commonly known as Grab Food. The use of technology and information systems makes food delivery services very efficient to use, namely by placing an order online through a smartphone application. In writing this article the method used by the author is to use a normative juridical method, namely, library research originating from various literature with discussions that are in accordance with the author's theme. Abstract

Imported products in Indonesia have been highly developed and become people's needs such as food, cosmetics, medicines, and so on. There are so many imported products that attract the attention of consumers because of the rapid and easily accessible advances in technology and information for consumers. However, the large number of imported products that are distributed to various places in Indonesia are not in accordance with the regulations. Islam obliges its people to consume/use halal products and stay away from all unclean products. The problem is, how is the enforcement of halal certificates for imported products in Indonesia based on the MUI fatwa number 4 of 2003. This study uses a normative juridical research method with a statutory approach and analyzes literature sources related to this research. From the results of the author's research, it was found that many products had received halal certification from the country of origin but did not register them with the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (BPJPH). So it can be concluded that imported products that are halal certified in the country of origin, if they have made adjustment cooperation with Indonesia, do not apply for halal certificates in Indonesia again, but register at the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency or abbreviated as BPJPH (which is under the auspices of the Ministry of Religion) to get a halal registration number to comply with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) contained in the MUI Fatwa.

Abstract

The issue of abandoned land in Indonesia represents a persistent legal and socio-economic challenge, particularly in relation to land governance, agrarian justice, and sustainable development. Despite the existence of statutory regulations aimed at controlling and redistributing abandoned land, their implementation often fails to achieve substantive justice and social welfare objectives. This study examines the legal protection of abandoned land in Indonesia through the perspective of Maqasid al-Shariʿah, emphasizing its relevance as a normative-ethical framework for evaluating contemporary land law policies. The research seeks to address the gap between positive land law enforcement and the realization of public benefit (maslahah) in the management of abandoned land. This study employs a normative juridical method with a conceptual and statutory approach. Primary legal materials include Indonesian agrarian laws and regulations concerning abandoned land, while secondary materials consist of classical and contemporary Islamic legal scholarship on Maqasid al-Shariʿah. Data are analyzed qualitatively using deductive reasoning to assess the alignment between existing legal mechanisms and the core objectives of Islamic law. The findings indicate that current legal protections tend to prioritize procedural compliance and administrative sanctions, often neglecting broader social functions of land, such as equitable distribution, environmental sustainability, and economic empowerment. From the perspective of Maqasid al-Shariʿah, particularly the protection of wealth (hifz al-mal), life (hifz al-nafs), and public interest (maslahah ‘ammah), abandoned land should be managed as a strategic resource to enhance social justice and collective welfare. This study contributes to the discourse on Islamic legal theory and land law by proposing an integrative framework that harmonizes national land regulations with Maqasid-based principles, offering normative guidance for more just and sustainable land governance in Indonesia.
