Abstract

The study illustrates women's struggles in achieving political participation in Yogyakarta, a region still deeply rooted in a strong patriarchal culture. It is clear that society's assumption that politics is exclusive to men, coupled with women's lack of political knowledge, poses a significant obstacle to women's involvement in politics. Although the government mandate emphasizes the need for women's representation in politics, the level of women's participation in Yogyakarta's political institutions remains low, especially regarding the decision-making process. The focus of this research is on the role played by Kinasih Women's Solidarity (SP) in helping women in DIY to overcome patriarchal barriers and increase their involvement in politics. Through various empowerment programs and political education initiatives, SP Kinasih supports women in understanding the intricacies of politics and strengthening their ability in political decision-making. However, these efforts often met resistance from local religious and community leaders. A case study of a woman named Ulil, despite not successfully securing a legislative position, managed to influence women's political perspectives by advocating for women's viewpoints in candidate selection. This study concludes the importance of increasing women's capacity through empowerment programs to represent women's interests in political decision-making and overcome the patriarchal culture that still exists in Yogyakarta's political structure.

Abstract

Kontroversi seputar hukum LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Biseksual, dan Transgender) menjadi isu global yang mendalam. Menurut survei CIA (Central Intelligence Agency), individu dengan orientasi seksual LGBT diperkirakan mencapai 10% dari populasi dunia, setara dengan 750 juta orang dari total populasi global yang mencapai 7,5 miliar jiwa, berdasarkan data survei yang tersedia sejak tahun 2015. Artikel ini membahas permasalahan hukum yang terkait dengan LGBT, dengan menggunakan dasar Hak Asasi Manusia dan kebebasan berekspresi sebagai dasar argumen. Isu ini menciptakan konflik yang meluas dalam ranah sosial dan nilai-nilai keagamaan. Artikel menggunakan data sekunder yang dikumpulkan melalui studi pustaka yang mempelajari nilai-nilai sosial dan keagamaan yang tercermin dalam masyarakat. Data dianalisis dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang menekankan deskripsi nilai, kualitas, dan konteks data yang terkumpul. Temuan pada artikel menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai sosial dan keagamaan di Indonesia pada dasarnya tidak saling bertentangan, melainkan saling melengkapi dalam menjaga norma, aturan, dan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan yang dianggap sebagai anugerah alam sejak lahir. Oleh karena itu, negara memberikan perlindungan terhadap Hak Asasi Manusia dengan berdasarkan pada nilai-nilai ini. Namun, terdapat perbedaan pandangan terkait hak asasi LGBT, karena orientasi seksual mereka dianggap tidak sesuai dengan kodrat manusia yang diberikan sejak lahir, melainkan dipengaruhi oleh faktor psikologis yang memengaruhi perkembangan seksual mereka. Kesimpulan dari artikel ini adalah pandangan PBB terkait Hak Asasi Manusia bagi LGBT bertentangan dengan nilai-nilai agama dan ideologi yang menjadi dasar suatu bangsa. LGBT dicap sebagai bentuk penyimpangan seksual yang berpotensi membawa dampak negatif, terutama terhadap generasi muda dan kesehatan masyarakat sehingga dianggap sebagai bentuk perilaku seksual yang menyimpang.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the correlation between the intensity of congregational Dhuha Prayer implementation and the level of gotong royong (mutual cooperation) character among 3rd grade students of MI Thoriqul Huda in the context of Merdeka Curriculum implementation and Pancasila Student Profile development. Using a correlational quantitative approach, the research involved 25 third-grade students selected through total sampling. Data collection was conducted through structured observation to measure the intensity of congregational Dhuha Prayer implementation over 8 weeks, questionnaires to measure gotong royong character, documentation, and semi-structured interviews as supporting data. The results showed a very strong and significant positive relationship between the intensity of congregational Dhuha Prayer implementation and students' gotong royong character level. The intensity of congregational Dhuha Prayer implementation contributed 97.2% to students' gotong royong character level. Further analysis found that the cooperation ability indicator had the highest correlation, while conflict resolution ability had the lowest. This research provides empirical evidence that the habitual congregational Dhuha Prayer program can be an effective means of developing gotong royong character according to the Pancasila Student Profile dimensions and demonstrates the potential integration of Islamic values with national character education in Merdeka Curriculum implementation.

Abstract

The Kijing International Port development project is expected to increase the potential for trade, logistics and maritime connectivity in Indonesia, especially in the West Kalimantan region. However, in the process of building and operating the port, various impacts were felt due to the lack of impact analysis and evaluation from PT Pelindo as the development manager. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the environmental and socio-economic impacts of the surrounding community as a result of the Kijing International Port development project. This research, which uses a descriptive qualitative approach, manages primary and secondary data by observing and analyzing the environmental hue in the development project area and obtaining additional data from theory, historical report records and other published information. The results found in this study are the emergence of negative impacts on the environment as a result of the development such as a decrease in air and sea water quality, an increase in water overflows and an increase in hazardous waste and garbage. Then this development project also has a positive impact on the socio-economy of the surrounding community in the form of increased employment opportunities, business opportunities and income for the local community.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of school climate on junior high school students attitudes toward bullying in the South Pontianak District, the influence of peer conformity on these attitudes, and the combined effect of both variables. The research employed a quantitative approach using an ex post facto design conducted in public junior high schools throughout the district. The sample comprised 368 students selected through proportional random sampling. Data were collected using a validated and reliable questionnaire. The analysis techniques included descriptive statistics, normality testing, hypothesis testing, and the coefficient of determination. The findings reveal that school climate has a positive and significant influence on students anti-bullying attitudes, with a significance value of 0.001 0.05. Peer conformity also has a positive and significant influence, with the same significance level. When analyzed simultaneously, school climate and peer conformity significantly influence students attitudes, contributing 27.3% to the variance in bullying attitudes as indicated by the adjusted R square value. The remaining 72.7% is attributed to other factors beyond the scope of this study.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh iklim sekolah terhadap sikap remaja SMP di Kecamatan Pontianak Selatan terkait perundungan, pengaruh konformitas teman sebaya terhadap sikap remaja terhadap perundungan, serta pengaruh simultan antara iklim sekolah dan konformitas teman sebaya terhadap sikap tersebut. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian ex post facto, yang dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri se-Kecamatan Pontianak Selatan. Sampel berjumlah 368 siswa yang dipilih melalui teknik proportional random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Teknik analisis data meliputi analisis deskriptif, uji normalitas, uji hipotesis, dan uji koefisien determinasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa iklim sekolah berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap sikap remaja dalam menolak perundungan, dengan nilai signifikansi 0,001 0,05. Konformitas teman sebaya juga memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap sikap remaja terhadap perundungan, dengan nilai signifikansi yang sama. Secara simultan, iklim sekolah dan konformitas teman sebaya memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap sikap remaja, dengan nilai adjusted R square sebesar 0,273. Artinya, kedua variabel tersebut berkontribusi sebesar 27,3% terhadap sikap remaja, sementara sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain di luar penelitian ini.

Abstract

This study aims to implement a contextual learning approach based on the Riyaya Unduh-Unduh tradition as a strengthening of global diversity character in 8th-grade junior high school students. The Riyaya Unduh-Unduh tradition is a unique tradition from the Javanese Christian Church (GKJW) Mojowarno Jombang that reflects values of gratitude, tolerance, mutual cooperation, and appreciation of diversity. This research employs a mixed methods approach with sequential exploratory design combining ethnographic studies, Classroom Action Research (CAR), and evaluative research. The research subjects involved 32 students from 8th grade at SMP Pancasila Mojowarno, Jombang Regency. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, global diversity attitude questionnaires, plurality concept comprehension tests, and student reflective journals. The results show that the contextual learning approach based on the Riyaya Unduh-Unduh tradition is effective in improving students' understanding of plurality concepts with an N-gain of 0.72 (high category) and global diversity attitudes across five dimensions with significant score improvements. The developed learning model consists of five stages: context exploration, concept elaboration, project collaboration, critical reflection, and concrete action. The implementation of CAR in two cycles showed increased enthusiasm and student ability to identify diversity values. This research contributes to the development of global diversity character education that aligns with the Merdeka Curriculum and Pancasila Student Profile Program.

Abstract

Abstract Background: The level of maternal knowledge about the use of vitamin A is very lacking, 56.3% of mothers do not know about vitamin A in general, less knowledge about understanding the function of vitamin A, which is 70.4%, knowledge is lacking in understanding the consequences of vitamin A deficiency of 40.8%, and the category of lack in knowing the source of vitamin A is 66.7% Objective: to determine the level of maternal knowledge about the use of vitamin A in Gulurejo Lendah Kulon Progo Village in February 2022 Method: The research method used is analytical observational with a cross-sectional approach and sampling using purposive sampling techniques. The study population was 1,208 people, so the sample used was 100 people. Data collection was carried out through knowledge questionnaires given to respondents, the results of the questionnaires were analyzed using percentage calculations on respondent characteristics, distribution of questionnaire answers and categorizing the level of knowledge, namely good, sufficient, less Results: The results showed respondents with good knowledge 63%, sufficient knowledge 19% and knowledge less 18% Conclusion: Respondents in Gulurejo Village had a good level of knowledge with the majority of respondents aged 29-37 years, high school education and the type of work were mostly housewives
