Abstract

Indonesia yang mayoritas penduduknya beragama Islam memiliki potensi yang besar menjadi pusat pengembangan keuangan syariah, termasuk asuransi syariah. Namun, perkembangan asuransi syariah sendiri masih relatif kecil.

Abstract

Despite the continuous increase in the Human Development Index (HDI) in DKI Jakarta, the poverty rate remains fluctuating and even increasing. Labor Force Participation and the Islamic Human Development Index (I-HDI) play crucial roles in poverty alleviation. The objective of this study is to examine the influence of Labor Force Participation and the Islamic Human Development Index on poverty in the six administrative regions of DKI Jakarta for the period 2018-2022. In this study, labor force participation and I-HDI are considered as independent variables, while poverty serves as the dependent variable. The population of interest consists of the six administrative regions in DKI Jakarta for the specified period, and a saturated sampling technique is employed. Panel data regression analysis techniques are utilized to test the secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics. The findings reveal that the dependent variable, namely poverty in the six administrative regions of DKI Jakarta, is partially and simultaneously influenced by the independent variables, namely labor force participation and I-HDI. This research contributes to the academic knowledge base, serves as a reference for other researchers, and provides valuable insights to the government and policymakers as foundational considerations in addressing the issue of poverty in the six administrative regions of DKI Jakarta.

Abstract

As important participants in Sharia governance, Malaysia and Indonesia emphasize the importance of a Sharia supervisory board at the institutional level to ensure compliance with Islamic principles. This study provides a comparative analysis of Sharia governance practices in Indonesia and Malaysia, focusing on the key differences and similarities between the Sharia governance frameworks in Malaysia and Indonesia. The method adopted in this study was document research. This method allows researchers to access a wide range of information and perspectives from various sources such as books, academic journals, government reports, and online databases. The findings reveal that both Malaysia and Indonesia have implemented Sharia governance frameworks in their Islamic financial institutions. However, their structures and regulatory frameworks differ from each other. Malaysia follows a two-tier structure with a comprehensive framework, whereas Indonesia follows a decentralized model with dispersed regulations. Both countries require the establishment of a Sharia committee at the institutional level to ensure compliance with the Sharia principles. Therefore, this comparative analysis enhances the understanding of Sharia governance in Islamic banking and finance, shedding light on the strengths and weaknesses of Malaysia and Indonesia's frameworks

The method and type of research were qualitative and case study. Data collection was carried out using primary sources and data collection techniques of in-depth interviews with informants, observation and documentation. First, register and verify the customer's identity through the Pegadaian Digital application. Then, apply for Arrum Haji financing by fulfilling all the requirements set by Pegadaian. Several factors have been efficient, but there is an obstacle in PT Pegadaian's limited ability to digitalize its services because the process of arrum hajj products involves external parties, so digitalization cannot be involved in its entirety.

Abstract

Unstable fluctuations in the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) are attributed to macroeconomic factors. Previous research has yielded inconsistent results regarding the factors affecting ISSI price changes, primarily focusing on the short to medium-term. This study aims to investigate and evaluate the impact of macroeconomic variables on ISSI prices. The research methodology employed is a descriptive quantitative approach, utilizing secondary data sources. The Error Correction Model (ECM) is used, utilizing quarterly time series data from the 2nd quarter of 2011 to the 4th quarter of 2022. The findings indicate that over an extended period, inflation and gross domestic product are the variables that influence the price of the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index (ISSI). In the short term, only the exchange rate affects the price of ISSI. However, money supply does not have a significant impact on ISSI prices in either the long or short term. The research findings underscore the significant influence of macroeconomic variables on the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index across different time frames. These results offer valuable insights for investors and policymakers by highlighting the complex interplay of factors affecting the stock market. Further analysis of these dynamics can contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of the Indonesian financial market and assist in making well-informed investment decisions. Moreover, exploring the underlying reasons for the observed relationships between macroeconomic variables and ISSI price movements can open opportunities for proactive risk management and strategic investment planning.

Abstract

Purpose: This study investigates the influence of social media, economic factors, and humanitarian values on young Muslim consumers’ consumption preferences in Jabodetabek, Indonesia, regarding pro-Israel products amid ongoing boycott campaigns related to the Israel-Palestine conflict.Design/methodology: A quantitative approach was employed to collect data through surveys with 120 students in the Jabodetabek region. The Partial Least Squares (PLS) method was used for data analysis, focusing on variables such as social media exposure, price sensitivity, and ethical considerations.Findings: The results indicate that social media significantly shapes consumption preferences by disseminating information and forming public opinion, with platforms such as Instagram and TikTok playing a pivotal role. Economic factors, particularly price sensitivity and budget constraints, critically affect purchasing behavior, whereas humanitarian values, such as moral solidarity and ethical considerations, strongly motivate boycott participation. Collectively, these factors accounted for 62.8% of the variance in consumption preferences.Practical Implication: Businesses should adopt socially responsible branding and leverage social media to align themselves with consumer values. Policymakers and activists can use these insights to promote ethical consumption and support local alternatives.Originality/Value: This study integrates social media, economic, and humanitarian dimensions to offer a holistic understanding of boycott dynamics in an emerging economy. It bridges gaps in the literature by highlighting the interplay between digital influence, economic practicality, and moral convictions in consumer behavior
